STORYLINE:
The morning after the Beijing Olympics opened, tourists and workers in Tiananmen Square on Saturday were full of praise for the spectacular opening ceremony, and had high hopes for the Games.
The clock in Tiananmen Square marking the countdown to the games remained at O, after four years of ticking down to August 8 2008.
Tiananmen Square was reopened to the public again after being closed for most of the day on Friday while
President Hu Jintao hosted dozens of world leaders at a luncheon in the adjacent Great Hall of the People, before they attended the main Olympic stadium for the evening ceremony.
Locals were back performing their usual Tai chi morning exercises in the square, as were the tourists - from China and abroad.
Australian tourist Neil Douglas and his wife were in Tiananmen Square early on Saturday morning.
Douglas was impressed by the show Beijing put on at Friday's opening of the Games.
It was good to see them bringing some young children to the show, to show the younger generation coming through now of the changing China, said Douglas.
Chinese tourist Xie Dongyuan watched the whole opening ceremony on television.
I'm going to stay several more days and try to get a ticket to watch the games. I haven't got any ticket now, but I still want to watch the games on site. The Olympic Games is held in our own country, so I've got to watch it in person, he said.
Others missed the show. Yang Xiaping, a nurse from Beijing was on duty during the ceremony, but organised for her patients in the hospital to watch live coverage of it on TV.
We all think it's good and very exciting, because we've been looking forward to the opening ceremony so long. Yang said.

Impeachment trial of President Trump | Jan. 27, 2020 (FULL LIVE STREAM)
The House managers wrapped up their arguments against President Trump on Jan. 24. Trump’s team, including lawyers Pat Cipollone and Jay Sekulow, now has 24 hours to present their case. After Trump’s lawyers conclude their presentation, senators will have an opportunity to submit questions to both sides in writing. Following that, debate will turn to whether to call witnesses and subpoena documents.
Trump was impeached by the House of Representatives in December for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Impeachment does not mean that the president has been removed from office. In the next phase, the Senate must hold a trial to make that determination. A Senate impeachment trial has happened only two other times in American history and once in the modern era. At the center of the Democrats’ case is that Trump sought to withhold military assistance and an Oval Office meeting until Ukraine announced investigations into former vice president Joe Biden and his son.

Jim Cramer on Qualcomm, U.S.-China Trade War and What to Expect From Disney
Jim Cramer weighs in on Real Money Stock of the Day Qualcomm's QCOM earnings, Disney DIS and the U.S.-China trade war.
Qualcomm Is Real Money's Stock of the Day
The chipmaker posted stronger-than-expected fourth-quarter earnings, and said near term revenues would exceed Wall Street forecasts following its recent licensing agreement with Apple Inc. AAPL .
Qualcomm said non-GAAP earnings for the three months ending in September, its fiscal fourth quarter, were pegged at 78 cents per share came in at an adjusted cents 78, down 12.4% from the same period last year but firmly ahead of Wall Street estimates of 71 cents per share. The group's adjusted operating margin, Qualcomm said, was 22.9%, beating expectations of 22.5%. Revenue for the quarter came in at $4.8 billion, against beating analysts expectations of $4.756 billion even as the total fell 17% from last year, reported TheStreet's Martin Baccardax.
Qualcomm said current quarter revenue is likely to rise to between $4.4 billion and $5.2 billion, just ahead of the consensus forecast of $4.82 billion. Qualcomm said the guidance excludes QTL royalty revenue from China-backed handset maker Huawei Technologies. The group also expects non-GAAP adjusted EPS for the quarter of between 80 cents and 90 cents per share, far better than analysts' expectation of 81 cents per share.
U.S.-China Trade War
We got something concrete out of China at last and it is big: a death sentence for a fentanyl smuggler and life sentences for two colleagues, wrote Jim Cramer in his morning column over on Real Money. It might seem like small potatoes for some - like some moron twitter people whom I have had to block - but this is precisely what Peter Navarro, the man in charge of trade talks has been calling for as a sign of goodwill.
Why are there so many doubters of progress in the trade talks? A big one is the on-again-off-again nonsense about when and where an agreement could be signed. The reason why I don't trust it is the mainstream media gets its leaks from either the Communist Chinese - who, somehow are regarded as reliable sources, or from Secretary Mnuchin who is a relative free trader, not a fair trader, he continued.
So the question really is: What's it going to take for investors to trust the American side of the U.S.-China trade war.

When Britain handed Hong Kong back to China in 1997, Chinese leaders agreed that Hong Kong would be able to keep its economic and political systems, including some of the civil freedoms denied to China’s citizens on the mainland, for the next 50 years.
Although Hong Kong still has nearly 30 years of semi-autonomy left, China has started tightening its grip, and many believe it is chipping away at Hong Kong’s freedoms. In this episode, I explore how Hong Kong is dealing with the looming deadline and China’s premature moves.

Hong Kong Street Food - LEGENDARY Dai Pai Dong in Sham Shui Po!!! BEST Street Food in Hong Kong!
SNAKE SOUP in Hong Kong episode 1:
Welcome to the second episode of our Hong Kong street food series. Today, we will be showing you some of the best and affordable street food and local, traditional food you can find in the Sham Shui Po area, a district that preserves the feel of Old Hong Kong - where the locals live!
To start our day, we have a traditional beef sandwich with a Hong Kong style milk tea (total 37 HKD / 4.71 USD). The beef was juicy and tender. No extra sauce needed! We explore the Sham Shui Po market for tons of shopping and locate a rare street food at a shop specializing in soy bean. We had fried tofu chunks stuffed with fish paste. It was awesome watching the chefs prepare the tofu. This snack was so delicious and CHEAP (15 HKD / 1.91 USD for 5 pieces). And of course, we washed it down with fresh soy milk (7 HKD / 0.89 USD). Continuing through the street food market, we came by a Cantonese classic dish - cheong fun! This stall was unique however because the shape of the cheong fun (10 HKD / 1.27 USD for small) was rolled into small bites like the Korean street food Tteokbokki. Such a great street food to enjoy in a small Hong Kong alleyway! To end the day, we eat at one of the most important street food restaurants in all of Hong Kong, at a dai pai dong. Dai pai dong’s are quite important because they are quickly disappearing off the streets and becoming modernized. There are only a few left that truly preserve the culture of Hong Kong and Oi Man Sang is one of the few! We had Hong Kong style clams, beef and rice street side! It all was mouthwatering and the chefs were cooking right on the street (298 HKD / 37.96 USD including beers).
Thanks for joining us on another INSANE street food adventure in Hong Kong! More street food to come very soon! Make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss any episode! Thanks for watching!

Hong Kong Street Food - DIM SUM HEAVEN + World's BEST Roast Goose!! ICONIC Street Food in Hong Kong!
Hong Kong episode 2:
Hong Kong episode 1:
This is the LAST episode of our Hong Kong street food series. In today’s episode, we will be eating the most CLASSIC street foods at local restaurants including DIM SUM, ROAST GOOSE, HONG KONG NOODLES, AND EGG TARTS WITH HONG KONG MILK TEA! Today, we are eating like a local!
For breakfast, we choose a very traditional and local dim sum restaurant that is street side. We ate siao mai, char siu bao, shrimp cheong fun, beef balls and tea. So delicious, healthy and WAY cheaper than some modern dim sum shops (81 HKD / 10.32 USD). We ride the Ding Ding (trams) toward Central Hong Kong to head to one of the BEST and Michelin recommended roast goose shops in all of Hong Kong - Yat Lok. Although quite expensive, this shop has PERFECTED the roast goose recipe and is worth it. The skin holds so many dimensions of flavour and the meat underneath is extremely tender and SO JUICY (223 HKD / 28.41 USD for quarter goose with drumstick). We were quite full so we took a walk down through the Fish Market. Later in the day, we visit a place that is known to serve some of the most traditional style Hong Kong “cart noodles” in the city. For a cheap price, you can assemble the bowl exactly how you want it. We recommend the braised chicken wing, radish and spicy sauce. Don’t forget to add the Sichuan oil if you love the “mala” flavour. Man Kee Cart Noodle began as a traditional cart serving noodles which expanded into a very popular restaurant while maintain the original taste (31 HKD / 3.95 USD per bowl). Finally, after being quite full, we head for a dessert at a cafe that has not changed over the MANY years it has been open. Packed with an older generation of Hong Kong folk, this cafe serves a perfect Hong Kong egg tart paired with a classic HK milk tea (20 HKD / 2.55 USD tart + tea). SO DELICIOUS and a great way to end our insane street food tour & series in Hong Kong!
Thanks for joining us on our HONG KONG STREET FOOD TOUR! We hope you enjoyed all 3 episodes. If you did, make sure to subscribe to our channel for more STREET FOOD from around the world! If you want to eat at these places too, check the information below!
