A walk and visit to Dunstanburgh Castle, Northumberland England.
Amazing views from this Castle, but imagine how bleek it would have been in the 14th Century.
Craster to Dunstanburgh - one of Britain's Favourite 100 walks
This route is part of a longer walk from Craster to Low Newton and back offering views of the ruined Dunstanburgh Castle and the vast expanse of Embleton Bay. The route also takes in sand dunes and the Newton Pool Nature Reserve, both rich in wildlife. Anyone wishing to do the longer walk can get info here :-

How to photograph Pub Signs.
When you photograph a pub sign, you are inevitably shooting from below and pointing the camera upwards, and, more often than not, having to shoot at an angle as well. Unavoidably, therefore, what your camera records is not a rectangle but an irregular quadrilateral, with all four sides of the sign of different lengths and with no 90⁰ angles. Furthermore, there is bound to be a lot of extraneous detail. To correct these faults, you need to use photo editing software (PaintShop Pro / Photoshop / Photoshop Elements -- there may be others) and correct the perspective using a Perspective Correction / Transform tool followed by a crop. You can also correct for colour and/or contrast (especially useful where the sign has faded over the years) and possibly clone out distracting features (there are far better ways of doing this than using the clone tool, but that's another matter).
Ideal conditions for pub sign photography are overcast conditions to avoid unsightly shadows and as little wind as possible.

Waterloo Monument...... Scottish Borders 2019 ????????????????????????????
Thanks for clicking and watching the video.
A great place to visit but I wouldn’t recommended obtaining the key from the Lothian estates as the door is very hard to open and the stairs up are dangerous the views from the top are as good as on the ground and wire obscurers your view. The key costs £10 and the hassle frankly isn’t worth it.

Peniel Heugh
Also known as Wellingtons Pillar and the Waterloo Monument.
The monument stands on top of Penielheugh hill,an ancient earthwork over 700 feet above sea level. It was built just after the battle of Waterloo to commemorate that historic event by the 6th marquis of Lothian, on one of the most enviable sites in Great Britain (no so great anymore) It is a hollow pillar about 150f tall, with a spiral staircase of 226 steps giving access to the wooden viewing gallery.
