AOC | #JeSuis - Desert Promo
Our first company's group work, #JeSuis is dedicated to all the people whose stories and plights have not yet been “hashtagged”. Erased from the past, unowned in the present and condemned in the future; whether they are in prison, in a refugee camp, or a house with closed curtains; and whether it’s their freedom of movement, speech, religion or liberty that is at stake, or their right to marry, love, study and protest - we make this show in honour and support of them. It comes from the belief that the strength of the collective, and our ability to speak out and together, will see us through to brighter times.
In English #JeSuis translates to I Am, but the show also says I Exist, I Matter.

Zigger Zagger - On Stage 19 to 21 June
The villainous Zigger leads a group of football supporters intent on hooliganism. Harry, charismatic, yet limited in outlook as football dominates his life, is easily led and follows Zigger, but craves a fuller, richer life.
Originally performed by the National Youth Theatre, the play depicts life on the terraces and the football chorus is continually present with songs and chants during the performance. It is funny, sad and noisy all rolled into one, and makes for an exciting evening's entertainment.
We have brought the story up to date and set it in Leicester with our beloved Leicester F.C.

Rough Justice
GRIPPING COURTROOM DRAMA
James Highwood, host of the popular TV programme British Justice, is himself on trial at the Old Bailey for murder. Refusing his solicitor’s plea to obtain legal representation, he is conducting his own defence – admitting responsibility but pleading manslaughter. His claim that the jury alone is responsible for the verdict brings him into conflict with the judge, and the desire to have his intentions understood causes problems with the prosecuting counsel. But is it manslaughter, or is it in fact murder? Terence Frisby’s sharply written, absorbing courtroom drama, will grip you tight and not let go until you are faced with the final question – Guilty or Not Guilty?
This amateur production of “Rough Justice” is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, LTD.
