Lights in the sky Ashbourne Derbyshire UK
I thought I had lost this!
Ive lost countless SD cards over the years, so was very happy to find this under my desk. A few years ago I was driving home with my missus after a day out, I needed a pee so stopped at the side of the road, whilst attending to the call of nature I spotted something high in the sky. I only had a Olympus SP-800UZ with me at the time and no tripod. So I had to film free hand and at high zoom. I was filming at a almost straight up angle.
No clue what it was, very glad I found the SD card though..

When I first heard about doing this film I didn't think it was going to be as high profile as it was. My crew and I had an absolute blast filming and editing this.

Lost Pubs of Wirksworth - Teaser Trailer 1
I'm about a 3rd of the way into making this documentary now, it's going to take a while so I thought I'd make a short teaser of some of the footage so far. Hopefully people will see this and want to come forward with their own stories and experiences to feature in the final film
Railway Coaches Return to Station Yard, Bellingham, Northumberland. Part 1
This video, by Neil Denham of Bellingham, shows the arrival of a Mk 1 railway coach at the Heritage Centre at Bellingham on Wednesday 13 April 2011. The coach has made the long journey by road from Okehampton in Devon via Ferrybridge in N. Yorkshire. A second coach will follow later. These coaches will be refurbished and refitted for use as, respectively, extra exhibition/learning space, and a tea-room. Work will be completed by the end of October 2011. The Heritage Centre's Wannie Line exhibition will be available semi-permanently on display in the exhibition coach. Funding for this project has been received from the Heritage Lottery Fund and Northumberland Uplands LEADER Programme. The Heritage Group Bellingham is a registered charity, No. 1041300.
Night Of The UFO's : Over 20 Craft/Light Clusters Inundate Small Area Of Sky (Pt. 1) - 17th Jan 2019
*Copyright Info' @ End. They just kept coming; a multitude of small, colourful lights (or cluster of smaller craft/beings in formation) appeared in a small part of the sky. Materialising as balls of expanding light (in some cases) they came from three directions North, South and West. Most came from the West, two circled over and over for a few minutes! They were all silent, very low and they all headed South-East (!?). The event lasted for quite a while, hence a two part video - with close-up stills and slow-motion footage in both parts.

Wirksworth Branch 1965
The LCGB organised a tour of the Denby, Wirksworth and Melbourne branches on 5th November 1965 which turned out to be the last steam hauled train to Wirksworth. The film started as Standard 8, tranferred to VHS and then DVD and is economical in the length of shots! It starts with a run round at Denby then Duffield to Wirksworth and return ending with a pass through Melbourne and a run round at Worthington. More for the record than quality of the filming.
Rollercoaster (Scenic Railway) On-Ride HD POV Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach UK
My first film in HD (with my new camera).
This ride is located at the Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England, UK. It first opened in the park in April 1932. It has been operating ever since, with now just one long train (with 30 seats) going along the track. It has a top speed of 45mph, and a height of 70ft (21m). The tallest drop is just 51ft, but still gives your stomach a good feeling, especially if you sit near the back.
It is one of only two rollercoasters in the world where a 'brakesman' is required, the only scenic rollercoaster in the UK, and the second tallest and fastest wooden coaster in the UK.
REVIEW: I have to say, as Great Yarmouth is my most local pleasure beach, I really enjoy going there and I am quite a big fan of this particular ride. It is probably the only ride in the park that actually gets a proper queue at times, and definately the most popular, despite its age. It may not neccesarily be considered a family ride, but it is good fun for thrill seekers with its long duration and fairly big drop. (This ride is 80 years old, and is still good fun).
Seating Comfort: Low (for me anyway, because my legs are too long)
Stomach Feeling: Medium
Intensity: Medium
OVERALL RATING: 8/10

Steeple Grange Light Railway - A Special Day
On the 11th November 2018, the 100th Anniversary of the end of World War 1, three headstones were conveyed by the Steeple Grange Light Railway for erection in Wirksworth, at Steeple Grange and in Middleton. These replicated the 120,000 war graves headstones carried on the Killers Branch of the Cromford & High Peak Railway for export via High Peak Junction onto the national rail network. The gun carriage used was the same one that carried Richard III to Leicester Cathedral.
