Harlinsdale Farm has been called the most significant historic farm associated with the modern Tennessee Walking Horse industry. In 1933, W.W. Harlin established the farm on the northern outskirts of great renown in the fledging Tennessee Walking Horse Industry. As famous as the farm itself is its prize stallion Midnight Sun. This famous horse became the first repeat World Grand Champion. The success of Midnight Sun in the ring and as a sire has never been matched by any other Tennessee Walking Horse. Even today, most champion Walking Horses trace their lineage to Midnight Sun.

In 1998 a brave honest man, Mr. Clay Harlin of Franklin, Tennessee, told the truth to a Tennessean newspaper reporter regarding the Big Lick Animal Cruelty being perpetrated upon Tennessee Walking Horses by members of the Walking Horse Trainers Association.
Mr. Clay Harlin was immediately ostracized and shunned from a business - Tennessee Walking Horses - that his late grandfather, Mr. Wirt Harlin, and father Mr. Bill Harlin helped start, and then put on the map by standing Midnight Sun and Pride of Midnight at the legendary Harlinsdale Farm.
In this video. Clay Harlin tells his story to BillyGoBoy.Com publisher on June 3, 2017. During the interview, Mr. Clay Harlin was presented with the CCABLAC (Citizens Campaign Against Big Lick Animal Cruelty) Profile In Courage Award at The Park At Harlinsdale Farm in beautiful Franklin, Tennessee. ##################
