Music, Eldar Mansurov
Sean McCann was born in Ballymoney, Co Antrim, N Ireland in 1959. His interest in painting was sparked from an early age. From his early teens he joined his father in evening art classes to be taught oil painting. At eighteen he did a foundation art course at the Ulster Polytechnic, followed by a Bachelor of Fine Art degree at Brighton College of Art and a Master of Fine Art at Birmingham Art College.
From Birmingham he moved to London where he had a studio in the east end, an area where most artists gravitated to because of the affordable studio accommodation. Since London he has lived and painted in the Highlands of Scotland and the West coast of Ireland, and now lives in Liverpool, England, an area which is also close to the magical landscapes of the Lake District and North Wales.
Sean has taken part in numerous exhibitions including The Mall Galleries, London, The Morley Gallery, London, The Gardner Art Centre, Sussex University, The Ikon Gallery, Birmingham, The Tom Allen Centre, London, Phoenix Gallery, Brighton and The Foxford Exhibition Centre, Mayo, Ireland, and The Irish Club, Dublin, Ireland.
He has works in private collections in Ireland, UK, Germany, Holland, Israel and the USA.

Jeff Keen: Irresistible Attack (1995 8mm)
kinoblatz.com An extract from Jeff Keen's breakneck Artwar series last performed as a three screen multi-projection event at Brighton's Phoenix gallery in 2006.
Fiercely independent and working for the most part outside of the mainstream and avant-garde circuits, Keens prolific output has embraced collage, live action, diary film and animation - often played out as expanded cinema performances where chance and accident are vital components. Now available :
GAZWRX: The British Film Institute have released an incredible nine hour Blu-Ray retrospective of Keens work.
'Prisoner of Art' a limited edition self released book of collages and artworks that includes a DVD-R of shorts and new soundtracks is available through kinoblatz.com.

I am a new media artist, researcher, and visiting Lecturer in Creative Coding, making immersive interactive works from the immaterial nature of data, the material body, and the city. I view the city as a series of patterns and interdependencies, arranged between the spaces of data, spatial appearances, and the biometric aesthetics of the body.

// ABOUT CONSTRUCTED GEOGRAPHIES //
Constructed Geographies is a new visual arts exhibition featuring new art work created in response to Sussex’s diverse heritage and population.
The artists are: Maria Amidu, Akila Richards, Amanda Jobson, Rikki Tarascas, Judith Ricketts, Josef Cabey and Amy Zamarripa Solis. The artists work across a variety of mediums including painting, photography, mixed media collage, glasswork, textiles, video and installation.
The broad theme of the exhibition allowed each artist to approach it differently, working to explore the rich cultural heritage of the area and draw out stories from a range of communities.
The exhibition seeks to claim a space for all in Sussex. From the remains of an ancient African women found on Beachy Head to local histories in the African hairdresser in Eastbourne, the exhibition works to dispel the misconception that there is a lack of diversity in the region. You just need to know where to look.
Produced by This Too Is Real Ltd
Supported by Arts Council England National Lottery funded Project Grant

MoonCrossed Lovers for Atlantic Works Gallery by Walter Sickert
Walter Sickert was born on the sea and has dedicated his life to, and makes his living from, music and visual art.
Walter's art is showcased in museums and private collections world-wide and he routinely collaborates with authors, other visuals artists and musicians.
Walter is the founder and impresario of the SteamCRUNK band Walter Sickert & the ARmy of BRoken TOys who have been described as Musically sophisticated and immensely talented, wildly unusual and diverse in material and presentation, a Dada-esque circus carnival run amuck, and just plain good 'not-always-so-clean' fun.
Walter is inspired by such things as Hieronymus Bosch, The Tiger Lillies, Érik Satie, Salvador Dalí, Dr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, Lewis Carroll, Aleister Crowley, Terry Gilliam, and Alan Moore.
Walter Sickert recently produced 28 Seeds for the stage (with companion graphic novel and soundtrack), which he originally created as a radio play for the RPM Challenge. He was voted Boston's best artist by the Boston Phoenix readers' poll in both 2011 and 2012 and has illustrated several children's books.
