Doncaster, is a large market town in South Yorkshire, England. Together with its surrounding suburbs and settlements, the town forms part of the Metropolitan Borough of Doncaster . The Doncaster skyline is dominated by the minster in the middle of the town. The Frenchgate Shopping Centre holds an important position in the skyline, along with the Doncaster College Hub building and Cusworth Hall. Cusworth Hall is an 18th-century Grade I listed country house in Cusworth, near Doncaster. Set in the landscaped parklands of Cusworth Park, Cusworth Hall is a good example of a Georgian country house.
Historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, Doncaster is about 20 miles (30 km) from Sheffield, with which it is served jointly by an international airport, Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield in Finningley. The Doncaster Urban Area includes Doncaster and the neighbouring small village of Bentley as well as some other villages.
Doncaster sits on the European Route E15 and is the starting point of European Route E13. The E13 connects Doncaster, Sheffield, Nottingham to London. Doncaster is a European hub with a new international airport, Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield opened in 2005. Doncaster International Railport facilities link to the Channel Tunnel.
From around the 16th century, Doncaster embraced the wealthy stagecoach trade. This led to horse breeding in Doncaster, which in turn led to the start of horseraces there. Recent leisure developments include a new community sports stadium for sports teams including the towns men's football club, Doncaster Rovers F.C.

Southend United 1 Doncaster Rovers 7 | iFollow Rovers
Kwame Thomas and Ben Sheaf scored their first goals for the club as Rovers ran riot at Roots Hall - hitting seven past a demoralised Southend United
Rovers claimed all three points with a commanding performance in a match which saw eight goals and two red cards - both shown to Southend players following late tackles on Taylor.
A stunning free-kick from Isaac Hutchinson put the Shrimpers - who were already down to 10 men at this point - ahead - but Thomas and Sheaf struck to ensure Rovers were ahead at the break.
Thomas hit a second to extend that advantage quickly after the restart, before Ben Whiteman, Kieran Sadlier, Aflie May and Jon Taylor put the Shrimpers to the sword.

Places You Wouldn't Want To Live in The U.K.
When most people imagine the United Kingdom, they think of London, wry humor and polite people. It might seem unthinkable that Great Britain has some real dung piles among its treasures but these 5 cities will have you wondering why there is a “Great” in front of “Britain”.
At number 5. Sandwell
The available jobs in this West Midlands town are so poorly paid that the average resident has zero disposable income. The good news for locals is that Sandwell has a pretty high mortality rate, so they don’t have to suffer for very long.
At Number 4. Gwent Valleys
No matter which metric you choose to measure Gwent Valleys scores poorly. Crime? Check. Poor healthcare? Check. A-hole teenagers all around? Oh yeah. In a country that’s filled with coastline and rolling hills, Gwent Valleys has none of that. It’s just the worst.
At Number 3. High Wycombe
Petty crime and drug use are present; as is a low employment rate. The little money High Wycombe does have it spends on the schools which is great. Of course, that doesn’t do the average tourist any good.
At Number 2. Southampton
Southampton is simply filled with half-destroyed buildings blotting the landscape. To be fair, the place was bombed in World War II. That is a pretty solid excuse, but on the other hand, they’ve had the better part of eighty years to get the place back in order …
And at number 1. Morecambe
In the 1930s, luminaries like Coco Chanel used to hang out in Morecambe These days, Morecambe is more known for its dilapidation. The coastline outside the city is stunning, but if you’re being completely honest, coasts aren’t exactly a point of pride, and neither is Morecambe.
Where do you think the worst place in Great Britain is?
Discuss Below.

Liverpool v Doncaster 3-2 | Goals & Highlights
Natasha Dowie scored twice as Liverpool Ladies beat Doncaster Belles 3-2 in a thrilling encounter in the Continental Cup at the Select Security Stadium in Widnes on Saturday night.
Now Matt Beard's side must wait and see what happens in the remaining cup games on Sunday to determine if they can qualify for the semi-finals, but it remains out of their hands.
After the 7-1 thumping of Durham last weekend, Beard kept his new-look attacking formation and straight from the kick-off Liverpool were quickly into their stride against the WSL 2 outfit.
Kate Longhurst teed up Gemma Davison whose blistering drive flew just over the bar, and seconds later Liverpool were through again. A lovely through ball from Natasha Dowie sent Longhurst clear but faced one-on-one with the keeper she could only lift the ball over the bar.
The away side also created a good chance themselves after five minutes when Jessica Sigsworth drilled an effort just over the top.
Two minutes later a well worked Liverpool free-kick saw Lucy Bronze's fierce drive superbly palmed away by Nicola Hobbs, then seconds later a superb Liverpool move saw Longhurst's effort brilliantly kept out by the keeper.
Hobbs is the sister of former Liverpool defender Jack, and she had an inspired evening as she kept Liverpool out time and time again.
However, Matt Beard's side weren't to be denied as the pressure paid off after eight minutes with the opening goal. Katie Zelem's through ball caused problems and after hesitation from Hobbs, goal poacher supreme Dowie was there to fire home.
The second goal arrived on 14 minutes and it was another outstanding Liverpool move. A sublime touch from Dowie put Davison one-on-one with the defender. The No.10 glided past her marker and after her effort was superbly kept out by Hobbs, Amanda Da Costa was there to fire the loose ball into the net.
Liverpool survived a scare just before the half-hour mark when goalkeeper Libby Stout came out to the edge of the area to close down a Doncaster attack, but missed the ball and was fortunate to see Bethany England fire wide from a tight angle.
Da Costa then set off on a superb solo run that took her to the edge of the Doncaster penalty area, but her left footed drive again brought a fine stop from Hobbs.
Liverpool made it 3-0 just before the break. A mistake at the back from Lyndsey Cunningham let in Dowie, and clean through on goal the No.9 provided the clinical outcome by firing past Hobbs.
Six minutes into the second half Liverpool came so close to a fourth goal. Dowie set up Longhurst whose goal bound drive was somehow kept out by the athletic Hobbs.
The away side did pull a goal back on 58 minutes from a well worked set piece that saw England send a thumping header beyond the reach of Stout.
Davison then went close to another Liverpool goal when she fired into the side netting after a fantastic run down the right from Lucy Bronze.
Beard then welcomed back Katrin Omarsdottir after injury when she replaced Davison, and the Icelandic international almost scored with her first touch when she headed over the bar from close range.
To their credit Doncaster Belles never gave up and they made it 3-2 to set up a frantic last 10 minutes when Sigsworth headed home another right wing cross.
However, with skipper Gemma Bonner a commanding presence at the back Liverpool held on for victory and they now look forward to the derby with Everton in the Women's Super League on Wednesday night.
Liverpool Ladies team: Libby Stout, Lucy Bronze, Corina Schroder, Nina Pedersen, Gemma Bonner, Fara Williams, Amanda Da Costa, Katie Zelem (Hannah Dale 61), Kate Longhurst (Becky Easton 85), Natasha Dowie, Gemma Davison (Katrin Omarsdottir 73).

Liverpool 1-1 Doncaster Rovers Belles | The FA WSL Official Highlights - 03-08-11
Aine Pegs Back Liverpool
Aine O'Gorman rescued a point for the Belles with an equaliser nine minutes from time in a pulsating game at Skelmersdale.
Liverpool were desperate to end their seven game goal drought, and it was the Belles goal that was under the most threat in the early stages.
Katie Brusell, Chloe Jones and Nikki Harding all came close within the opening minutes, but none were able to significantly trouble visiting keeper Mary Earps.
The Belles first chance came after ten minutes, and they were within inches of taking the lead when Vicky Exley just failed to connect with Kylla Sjoman's inswinging free kick at the back post.
Kelly Jones was then next to test Earps, before her twin sister saved the Reds at the other end.
Sjoman's corner found the head of Exley and the former England midfielder's effort beat Danielle Gibbons before Vicky Jones cleared the ball from under her own crossbar.
Just after the half hour, Liverpool threatened again after great link-up play between Harding and Ruesha Littlejohn down the right flank. A one-two found Littlejohn in space on the edge of the area, but her shot curled agonisingly wide of the far post.
The dangerous Exley then spotted the Liverpool goalkeeper Danielle Gibbons off her line and attempted a 35-yard chip only to see her audacious effort land on the roof of the net.
Both keepers were then tested in the closing minutes of the half - Gibbons gathered Kasia Lipka's shot before a sprawling Earps got a hand to Harding's effort to ensure the half ended goalless.
Two minutes into the second half, the home side broke the deadlock. Sam Chappell's cross from the right was touched on by Harding, and when Earps could only parry, Harding was on hand to turn home the rebound.
The same player could have doubled the lead soon after. Brusell made progress down the left before cutting the ball back to Kelly Jones, who sliced her shot into Harding's path. However, the midfielder couldn't keep her first time shot down and the ball flew over the bar.
Kelly Jones dispossessed Doncaster's Maria Karlsson on the halfway line before charging forward and feeding Scottish striker Littlejohn who curled her shot wide.
Liverpool substitute Cheryl Foster found fellow sub Michelle Evans with a pinpoint pass, and although the midfielder managed to lift her shot over the onrushing Earps, she couldn't hit the target and the ball dribbled wide.
The introduction of Belles substitutes Jess Sigsworth and Julia Ralph Scott seemed to lift the visitors and give them more of an attacking threat.
And they were rewarded on 81 minutes, when Aine O'Gorman drilled home an angled drive to level the scores.
In an end-to-end final ten minutes, both sides could have clinched the points with Gibbons saving from Ralph Scott and Brusell going close at the other end.
However, the best chance fell to Exley. The midfielder was put clean through by Hamilton's pass, but could only scuff her shot, enabling Gibbons to block.
The Belles continued to push for a winner, throwing people forward and Sigsworth was denied a last minute winner by a Gibbons save.
Leaving both sides having to be content with a point a piece.

After two and a half cancelled dates Morrissey resumed this leg of his Greatest Hits tour. The show wasn't the highlight of the tour, but it went down better than most people feared. Morrissey was in great spirits and appeared to be enjoying himself. His voice was still shaky at times, but overall quite good. He was understandably not as talkative than he was known to be at the time. It must be said that on some occasions his attempts at banter were simply drowned out by the crowd chanting his name. The fans were very welcoming, energetic and at times quite boisterous, but nobody made it onto the stage.
There was no surprise in the setlist. Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want, which had been reintroduced on the previous date, was not played. It appears that a song planned before The Loop was skipped at the last minute, as Morrissey went to his musicians and there was a change of instruments. The song may have been The National Front Disco.
Moz came on stage holding a black and white picture of himself over his face and announced: Doncaster... check your watches because... it's that time of the month! Because of the recent cancellations, people in the front rows kept shouting questions about his health so after The Last Of The Famous International Playboys he asked one of the curious Yes dear friend, what's the question? (fan asks if he's still ill)... Do I look it? After I Just Want To See The Boy Happy he enquired Could this be ruining your Wednesday? (crowd:no!) It will, stick around... For some reason he changed one occurrence of the title line in Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before to Stop me if you think that you've heard this blah! before.
New single That's How People Grow Up was introduced with the line In a fit of old fashioned stupidity we have decided to release a new single (crowd cheers)... which is very faint, but that's how people grow up... In the song Morrissey changed a line to that's how people throw this. After the song the crowd broke into a loud chant of Morrissey's name. In live performances of Billy Budd at the time Morrissey often changed a line from did you hear they turned me down to Thank God they turned me down, but on this date he took this to Thank Christ they turned me down. After the latter number Morrissey proceeded with the customary introduction of the band: Leading our (?) if you dare is the formidable Boz Boorer... and the bassist guitar Solomon Walker... who was tied by umbilical cord to Matt Walker... on the electric guitar, Jesse Tobias... and our new genius Kristopher Pooley... and that's Kristopher with a 'K', in case you happen to (?) a stroll and... Did you hear? Did you hear? Something is squeezing my skull...
The latter part of this band introduction served of course as an introduction to Something Is Squeezing My Skull, and after the song Morrissey answered someone's question with What?... 'Something Is Squeezing My Skull'... In Stretch Out And Wait he switched to the song's alternate intro (as heard in the version released on the album The World Won't Listen), but he actually twisted it slightly: Your face I can see, and it's really not bad. Besides the usual lyric changes in that song he also sang Will the world end in the daytime, I really hope so... or will the world end in the night time, don't ask me I don't know... Then after the line and is there any point ever having children, instead of handing the microphone to a fan for an answer, or shout no! as he often did, he actually waited for the crowd to shout no!, then corrected with a loud yes!. It has been speculated that the reason for this change of mind was the presence of members of his family who had traveled to see his teenage nephew warm up the crowd with his own band Noise Is The Best Revenge.
