Dino tracks in Paluxy river in Dinosaur Valley State Park near Glen Rose, Texas
Looking at dinosaur tracks is not the same as looking at bones. Just a tiny bit of imagination brings you back a hundred million years and here you are sitting at ancient beach staring at foot prints of the huge animals that stomped their feet in the mud seemingly just a half an hour ago. This video was recorded approximately 10 years ago. It means that fossilized tracks shown here probably do not exist anymore. Erosion caused by running water is slowly destroying them. Although, while it wipes out the old tracks, it uncovers new ones.

Liberty Hill Ropes {Liberty Hill Texas}
The Martha Chapman Dam is a dam located just 1.4 miles from Liberty Hill, in Williamson County right off of Bagdad. Great swimming location with some shallow and deep spots as well as a rope swing!! I am not completely sure if this is private property. I saw no signs stating that it was and I asked several people who said that it was not private property.

My children and I went here on a Friday around noon. A few other families with small children were there as well. The children loved it. However, I noticed as the evening approached that more of a party crowd started to show up.
My suggestion would be that if you are looking for a day of swimming with your kids then this place would be perfect Monday thru Friday during daylight hours.
If you are looking to hang with friends and drink and have a good time, then weekends would probably work best for you! People had speakers with music playing and it was literally like a party!
I recommend wearing swim shoes as I noticed broken glass bottles in a few places. With this being said…Please always remember to show RESPECT when swimming at public swimming holes. Please do not visit these beautiful, natural places if you cannot respect them. Trash, rowdy behavior, drunkeness, accidents and trespassing on private property are causing us to lose access to more of them every year. I try to teach my children to always fill a bag full of trash before we leave any swimming hole. Even if the trash was not ours :) And never bring GLASS containers!
Also most accidents/drownings in natural swimming places are due to strong currents, diving and/or alcohol. Do not let carelessness or peer pressure get you into a situation you cannot deal with. Each time you go, wade in gradually and check the current. Do not jump in until you have checked both the depth AND the current first. Look downstream - if the current is strong for a long distance or might pin you against a large object (e.g., bluff, large rock or downed tree) don't go in. Large rivers have hidden currents below the surface - assume large rivers are NEVER safe to swim regardless of how calm they look on the surface.
SWIM, SMOKE AND DRINK ETC. AT YOUR OWN RISK just because this list mentions you can does not mean it's legal or a good idea).

Dinosaur Tracks in Texas
Dinosaur tracks, 113 million years old, can be seen at Dinosaur State Park, near Glen Rose, Texas. Few people actually see the tracks because the water must be low. The best time to see them is in August when it is very hot.
The trackway dates to the Cretaceous period and was an important clue for paleontological theories about how and where dinosaurs walked. The riverbed tracks are only visible when the water is low.
I arrived early in the morning when it was still cool. The water was and the stream, the Paluxy River, was very low. All the tracks were visible.
The site was once an ancient beach. Were the dinosaurs frolicking on the beach? Not likely. It is possible to imagine that the tracks showed that a three-toed meat eater was stalking a plant eater.

Fossil hike on Charlie's Creek on 5-25-17. Like blackriverfossils or ninjashark. Megs on parade.
Great hike in the creek near the Peace River. More than 10 megs, 2 sweet makos and lots of fraglodins. Great day with Austin and Bonnie. Megs in tap, more than is normal for Florida on a half day trip. Not as cool as black river fossil guys but this is not S Carolina. Great day for science and hunting on the creek.

America’s First Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship
Since its heyday in the late 1800s, bare-knuckle boxing in the US has been relegated to parking lots and grimy basements, an underground sport that couldn’t find a way to bring itself above board. But in June of 2018—after spending years petitioning almost 30 states to sanction the brutal fights—promoter David Feldman finally managed to stage America's first-ever legal bare-knuckle boxing match in Wyoming.
VICE went to the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships in Cheyenne a few days ahead of the big event to hear how Feldman managed to pull it off, and to meet a handful of fighters for whom boxing—and even MMA fighting—just isn’t hardcore enough.
