Miniature Railways of Great Britain The Ipswich Model Enginering Society July 2018
While exhibiting our Fuchsia plants at the BFS Show at Stowmarket we popped into Ipswich to visit the Ipswich Model Engineering Society.
Not the longest track we have rode but still a great club. The Gauge 1 track is very good as well, just a shame nobody was running when we visited.
Many thanks to Terry and the other members present for making our visit a happy one, such a friendly group.
While we visited Sheena was having a driver experience course,in her 60th year (she doesn't look it) she wants to do 60 different things she has never done before, driving a steam and diesel loco being two of them..You did a great job Sheena, I hope you enjoyed your day.

Brampton Request Stop
There are 146 request stops on the railway network in the whole of Great Britain, and so it's time to go and visit some of them and get out at them for a look around.
This time we're at Brampton in Suffolk, on single track line between Lowestoft and Ipswich, oh .. and it's a VERY rainy day ...
The weather app (you even hear me say it in the video) is called 'Dark Sky' here:
Recorded on Friday 29th December 2017.

Bourne Park Ipswich Suffolk UK
If it is hot and your kids love playing with water, this is the place for you. Bourne Park has a lovely play area for ages from 3 -14.
There is also a paddling pool (around 40cms deep) which is very popular during the summer, and is conveniently enclosed so that the kids can’t run away! There are two play areas with the one nearer the Wherstead Road entrance having the greater array of equipment. The paddling pool adjoins this area too. Kids love the zip wires, swings and play area. Parking is available at Stoke Park entrance of the Park.

This unique program provides a spectacular film record of the diesel locomotives to be seen on both the national network and preserved lines across a wide variety of services and duties. We go inside Crewe and Doncastor works, survey the new and old Virgin fleet and examines the diesel scene around Ipswich, York, Dawlish, Plymouth and Crewe.
We also go trackside and behind the traction at heritage railways such as the Midland Railway, Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Railway and Nottingham Heritage Transport Centre.
british railways past & present nw & sw london
hi i spend a lot of time making these small films of when the days were a lot different. most of the photos are from old books or old post cards. i love doing this to show you how life was way back then. some people can not buy books or find things to do with local history so this is why i have done this for all of you.
i do not do this to make money in any way, it is just for free so i do hope you all like the small films i do as it takes a long time to do. i did use to live in SW London but now moved to bucks where i find this is much better for me and my family.
all the best --- Jason Blackman.
