SHAKESPEARE TOUR | Stratford Upon Avon
After a wonderful nights stay in the Beautiful Bedrooms by Fuller's at The White Swan ( it was finally time to hit the history trails of Stratford Upon Avon exploring the Shakespeare Tour, and it didn’t disappoint. First Shakespeare's birthplace, it’s been a pilgrimage site for over 400 years and the stories that it can tell through its amazingly preserved features.
Next Shakespeare's New Place. A chance to walk in Shakespeare’s footsteps and through gardens which Autumn had taken a strong loving hand over. Finally the royal theatre, the true heartbeat of Stratford.The stunning tutor streets throughout the days walks were really bring out my inner architecture nerd!!
The gorgeous medieval Holy Trinity Church on the riverbank the highlight of our excursions; resting place of Shakespeare himself and with a stunning vaulted ceiling. The perfect spot for a moment of peace and reflection.
And finally, Anne Hathaway's Cottage. A perfectly kept piece of history and a look into Shakespeare's wife's family home.

Warwickshire Country Walk Shakespeare's Stratford upon Avon River Walk
Our video is a guided walk at Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire. Before we start our walk we wander around this wonderful historic town and view William Shakespeare's birth place. Starting our walk at the gardens at Waterside we make our way over the Canal Bridge and the Tramway bridge then follow Shakespeare's River Avon to Luddington Weir and Lock. We return to Stratford via the old railway line and tramway on the Monarch's Way. This is an easy flat walk, with only one gradient, on good tracks and paths and also through some grass fields. Elevation: Approx lowest point 32.9m (108ft). Approx highest point 51.5m (169ft). Approx 8 miles allow 2 hours 45 minutes using OS Explorer Map 205, Stratford-upon-Avon & Evesham Alcester. It was a treat to spend the afternoon exploring Stratford-upon-Avon with my family on the Globus guided tour. Walking inside the house where William Shakespeare was born and raised brought to life his famous literary works in a fresh, new way. We were delighted to learn that the flowers currently planted around his home are all mentioned throughout his literature. I hope you enjoy my short n' sweet montage of the English market town!
