After a few days of wet adventuring on the South Island, the sun came out and we had such a great day ripping around Nelson.
We got in two really nice rides this day, the first one was a scenic climb up to and then down Involution. After we settled into our hotel we climbed back up and rode down Firball.

Mountain Biking The Old Ghost Road in New Zealand with Sacred Rides
Even though it was another wet day on the South Island of New Zealand, we were able to get a helicopter shuttle to the Lyell Saddle of The Old Ghost Road.
It was my first time in a helicopter and it was pretty cool! After we were dropped off we climbed up and then turned around and headed down.

I enjoyed the riding in Wairoa Gorge so much that one episode was just not enough. Mountain biking one of the steeper lines, DMT to Devolution. Swithchbacks for days, following Ted Morton and Simon Mclaine. Do you even switchback bro??? #followcamfriday, all 4K, all damn day.

BC Enduro Series - Retallack Lodge
If Whistler is the Disney Land of mountain biking, Retallack Lodge is surely the Red Light District of Amsterdam. Imagine all of your guiltiest vices; endless singletrack, steep roots, manicured berms, groomed jumps, 6 kegs of Bad Tattoo Beer, technical alpine descents and the most expansive views of true Canadian wilderness. This is Retallack.
Retallack isn't a bike park, it isn't a trail network and it most definitely isn't a place for a Sunday ride. This is a place to experience real MOUNTAIN biking. When you play in the mountains you only hope that the reward is worth the risk. Welcome to the Retallack Enduro.
The BC Enduro Series worked extensively with Mike Kinrade and the Retallack crew to create the most unique race of the season. Think of a start-line at 2500m, a trail with a section called Spastic Colon, Rain, Mud, Lightning, Snow, long Hike-a-bikes, Bottomless Beer and a bit of controversy and you can just start to think of what you missed out on.
