Hand of God - Walker Art Gallery Liverpool
A Liverpool art gallery has been innundated with people clamouring to witness a bizarre Hand of God phenomenon that has stunned visitors.
A 350-year-old painting of the infant Jesus is at the centre of the freak optical illusion at the John Moores Painting Prize art exhibition.
Visitors to the famous Walker Art Gallery reported seeing a ghostly hand pointing through a door directly at the Christ child in Mattia Preti's 1660 oil painting 'The Adoration of the Shepherds'.
The strange phenomenon is in fact another work of art, in a different gallery, bizarrely reflected in a glass door.
The current John Moores Painting Prize exhibition features a piece called 'THERE YOU ARE!' which depicts a large hand painted onto a wall.
By sheer fluke, the composition, by artist Cornelia Baltes, reflects onto the Preti piece, perfectly directing viewers to the Messiah.

GALLOWAY CURRIE LOACH DEBATE THE MINERS' STRIKE - THATCHER v SCARGILL 25 YEARS ON (3)
WEDNESDAY 3RD 2010 - THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ENDING OF THE MINERS' STRIKE
As part of a series of events to commemorate The Miners' Strike and celebrate the mining industry, Alan and Cheryl Gerrard of Theartbay Gallery put on a Question Time style debate at The Forum Theatre in Stoke-on-Trent to discuss the legacy of The Miners' Strike over the last 25 years; an episode in Britain's recent past which continues to affect millions of people, both directly and indirectly.
It was a highly charged, emotional, but articulate and constructive debate. What you have here is sections of the raw footage (I'm no video editor) and we hope you find them enjoyable and useful. Feel free to disseminate the footage, and if you can give us an acknowledgement that would be nice, as it took quite a bit of organising.
