The Ship Inn, Haskayne, Lancashire
Some shots of the beautiful old, Ship Inn in Haskayne, featuring both back and front views and some internal shots. The Ship Inn backs onto the canal where many barges are moored and it is very picturesque.
Located next to the Ship Bridge,it is said to be the first pub built for the canal which was started nearby in Halsall Cutting.
There is seating outside the pub with view of the bridge and canal. Serves food and guest beers, popular lunch spot for walkers..
Save The Ship Inn
The people of Aldwick Village, Bognor Regis, are determined to save their pub, The Ship Inn, from being turned into a supermarket.
Morrisons Plc are to begin gutting the building and making changes to it. There has been a Ship Inn on the same site for 200 years, and the present building dates back to the turn of the 20th century.
A loophole in the planning law permits Morrisons to do this without any permission from the local authority, Arun District Council. No account is taken of the local opposition.
That's why the Friends of the Ship Inn called for a demonstration on 11 August, 2014. They don't want a supermarket; they want their pub back. If Morrisons carries out their plans that will be the end of The Ship Inn, and another piece of British social history will have been destroyed forever.

Crosby Herald: Litherland links with the Beatles celebrated
ARTISTS from both sides of Northern Ireland's political divide have united to celebrate Litherland's links with the Beatles.
'With a little help from their friends' in Liverpool, the artists have painted an iconic mural on the side of a terraced house in Croxteth Avenue, just down the road from where the Beatles played at Litherland Town Hall and the Lathom.
Belfast Loyalist Mark Ervine and Republican Danny Devenny joined forces to create the striking mural, commissioned by Riverside Housing Group to mark its 80th birthday.
The Riverside Group's Hugh Owen said: It's amazing the way Mark and Danny are working together in a way that demonstrates once divided communities can move on and embrace the future.
