2011 Sun Inn Beer Festival, Leintwardine - Delivering Mayor John Ball in Vintage Car
Delivering John Ball, the then Mayor of the Sun Inn (Leintwardine), to the pub's beer festival back in 2011.
The car is my Morris Oxford 'Super Sport' built in 1928, which if I let you in to a little secret, was using gravity for the journey down the hill - she doesn't like going so slowly!
The Sun Inn Leintwardine - I'll Tell Me Ma
John 'Banjo Joe' Wood, Toby 'Guitar' Parker and Dan on the drums play as the 'Raucous Noise Collective' at the Sun Inn, Leintwardine, the song is called 'I'll Tell Me Ma', a folk song from the British Isles. Is this the beginning? Together we stand, divided we fall. This was a jam session, Dan unprepared and thrown in and holding on for dear life.

Clun, Shropshire Weekend Away
24th-26th June 2016. A weekend away with a group of friends in Clun, Shropshire. As BBC described Clun is the most tranquil place in England. I certainly agree with that. This time of the year is specially nice with the colourful landscape. On the Friday night we went to a local pub on our arrival. On Saturday we went to Church Stretton walked 8 miles in this beautiful area with magnificent hills as you can see in the video. The weather was changeable, sunshine, rain & hailstones. In the evening we had BBQ and music celebrating a friend's birthday. Fab night! On Sunday we walked in Clun. It was garden opens day and we went to tea garden which was just so stunning.
Special thanks to Alison who organized this wonderful weekend away!

Clunton, Clunbury, Clungunford & Clun, The quietest places Under the sun. A.E Housman
Taking Inspiration from the poet A.E.Housman who wrote Clunton, Clunbury, Clungunford and Clun, Are the quietest places Under the sun. This is a compilation of photos from this area.Clunton and Clunbury
Clunton and Clunbury, Clungunford and Clun,
Are the quietest places Under the sun.
In valleys of springs of rivers, By Ony and Teme and Clun,
The country for easy livers, The quietest under the sun,
We still had sorrows to lighten, One could not be always glad,
And lads knew trouble at Knighton, When I was a Knighton lad.
By bridges that Thames runs under, In London, the town built ill,
’Tis sure small matter for wonder, If sorrow is with one still.
And if as a lad grows older, The troubles he bears are more,
He carries his griefs on a shoulder, That handselled them long before.
Where shall one halt to deliver, This luggage I’d lief set down?
Not Thames, not Teme is the river, Nor London nor Knighton the town:
Tis a long way further than Knighton, A quieter place than Clun,
Where doomsday may thunder and lighten, And little ’twill matter to one.
by A.E. Housman
