Best Halloween in Jerome Arizona and Sedona AZ Hiking, Vortexes, & Dia de Muertos
Todays travel RV vlog takes us to Sedona, AZ in for Halloween! Liz's mom is along for the ride. We enjoy a spooky ghost tour in Jerome, AZ, an old mining ghost town that is known for being the most haunted city in the United States.
We hike the beautiful red rocks of Sedona visiting a few vortexes including bell rock, cathedral rock, and airport vortex. To finish off our road trip in Sedona, we go to the most amazing festival, the Dia De Los Muertos celebration at Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village. We enjoy great music, see beautiful decorations, Dia de los Muertos face paint, and have a blast! After our awesome time there, we officially think this is the best place to be if you full time RV for Halloween!
Time we were there: End of October - Early Nov.
Temps: High 71° and Low 41°
Shoulder Season - but still busy!

Off Roading, U.S. Hwy. 60 to Webber Mine, Arizona
Off roading from U.S. Highway 60, between Aguila and Wenden, in the Arizona Outback of La Paz County, across McMullen Valley, along unnamed & unnumbered Sonoran Desert trails, to the Webber Mine trailhead, at the foot of E C P Peak, in the Harcuvar Mountains. There were about a dozen small wash crossings, and lots of Arizona Pinstripes. My vehicle is a stock 2013 Acura RDX AWD, with Michelin Primacy MXV4 Radial Tires; the dashcam is a SpyTec A118C.

Sierra City - Part 4 Ole Kentucky Mill and Mine
The Kentucky Mill & Mine is a prime example of early mining history which transpired in Sierra City. The mine was worked in the 1850s later the stamp mill came to be to process the gold. The thousand pound stamps were so loud that the townsfolk could hear them throughout the day. Today the site is a park and a museum the mills stamps are the only operable ones in the state. The mine itself was built into the Sierra Buttes very common back in the day as where there was quartz there was gold. Next to the entrance is an old miners cabin which has many of the necessary relics of its day needed for survival. The mine cart tracks had a split one led to a dump pile near the cliff while the other took the quartz in the mill to be crushed for gold processing. Many remnants scatter the hillside pieces that are museum worth and used during this mining operation. This tour is just a taste of things to come we will return to work with the mill more extensively.

Tons of Snow Near Phoenix!
At about 5:30 pm on February 22nd, 2019 it started snowing in North Scottsdale, Cave Creek, and Carefree. Tons of snow was already around from the night before. A Maricopa County Sheriff's deputy closed the road leading to Seven Springs. I proceeded on foot past the closure only to be met by snow plows before I turned and headed up a dirt road. There was snow everywhere I could see and deep enough that it was nearly up to my knees and buried entire desert plants beneath it.

Minden Gardnerville NV Fulltime RV Near Lake Tahoe
Minden/Gardnerville is just 20 miles south of Carson City. It's a farming community/nice suburb, and greener than Carson, due to small rivers and streams flowing through. Highway 88 goes directly into Tahoe. It's just a 20-30 minute drive to the big shopping center in Carson City, and there is ample basic shopping here. The Carson Valley Inn RV campground is nice, very peaceful, nice people, large dog run, though a little on the pricey side. They have a public dump station by the gas station for $6.

Skull Valley Goshute Reservations
Most Americans know the story of the Trail of Tears; settlers in the New World felt they had more right to the land than the people who were in fact here first. It seems that this attitude has not quite vanished when it comes to Native American land and resources. SourceCode visits the Skull Valley Goshute Reservation in Utah where nuclear waste dumping has caused one Goshute member to stand up for preservation of their land. Meet a hero for the cause of Indian land rights, Eloise Cobell. She's suing the federal government for billions of dollars on behalf of individual Indians across the country. We'll take you to Northern Ontario were the Grassy Narrows First Nation is waging an international battle to get logging giants Weyerhaeuser and Abitibi off their lands. And come with Diné music group Blackfire on their tour around the world.

The History of the Spencer Hollow School House
The Spencer Hollow Schoolhouse is located at the junction of routes 143 and Spencer Hollow Road in Springfield, VT. Erected in the 1780’s. Primary school was held there until 1926. It is the oldest one room, brick schoolhouse still standing in Vermont.
In 2012, The Spencer Hollow Schoolhouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
From 1931 through 1970 the building was used by the “Spencer Hollow Club” as a general meeting place, and for the local 4H club until the 1970’s after which it was left abandoned until 2007.
In 2007 a local group “ The Friends of the Spencer Hollow School” started restoration. Since that date through many hours of volunteer labor and help from local contractors much has been done in restoration including stabilization of the roof, scraping and painting all exterior and interior woodwork, replacing all broken window panes, restoring and replacing brick outside walls, clearing brush and landscaping school grounds.
