The Calgary Bar Watch Association for Patron Safety will use surveillance cameras, tighten up security and improve communication with police to make that bext visit to a nightclub or bar a safer experience. Car also booked via BA with Budget Car Hire (We upgraded our car to the Jeep when we arrived)

FULL ITINERARY:
DAY 1:
- Flight from London to Calgary, land in Calgary at 9:30pm
- Collect car from car hire at airport
- Check into Best Western hotel near airport for a good nights rest
DAY 2:
- Drive to Lake Louise (highway 1 - the trans Canada highway)
- Check in to the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise (pre booked)
- Lunch in the Hotel in the Lakeview Lounge
- Plain of Six Glacias Tea House Hike
- Drinks in the hotel at Fairview Bar
- Dinner in the Hotel at Alpine Social
DAY 3:
- Early St Agnes Tea House Hike at sunrise
- 1 hour Canoe session on Lake Louise
- Grab a quick bite to eat at the local bakery
- Drive to Jasper on the 93 aka Icefield Parkway
- Stopped for lunch along the way
- Check in to Becker's Chalets in Jasper (pre booked)
- Go into Jasper Town for a wander
- Dinner at the restaurant at Becker's Chalets

- Evening in the cabin with the open fire
DAY 5:
- Took 93A (road) the more scenic route which joins back on the Icefield Parkway (main road)
- Sunwapta Falls
- Athabasca Falls
- Columbia Glacier
- Lunch at Columbia Glacier
- Drive to Banff
- Stopped briefly at Lake Peyto but never got out of the car...this is when we saw the bear
- Check in to Moose Hotel & Suites in Banff
- Wandered around Banff Town
- Drinks in an Irish Pub
- Dinner at The Meatball
- Back to the hotel for the hot tub on the roof
DAY 6:
- Breakfast in Pacini (in the Moose hotel)
- Drove to Peyto Lake, but couldn't get in
- Moraine Lake
- Lake shore hike at Moraine Lake
- Lunch at the cafe at Moraine Lake
- Checked into Storm Mountain Lodge (pre booked)
- Drove into Banff for Dinner at Banff Avenue Brewing Company
- Evening in the Cabin with the open fire
DAY 7:
- Breakfast at Storm Mountain Lodge
- Canmore to find the rope swing which is sadly no longer there
- Drive to Cochrane for the Yamnushka Wolfdog Sanctuary
- Intro tour at the wolfdog sanctuary
- Back to Canmore (on the 1A) to the Grizzly Paw Brewing Company
- Lunch at their pub
- Shopping in Roots in Banff
- Drinks in the lodge at Storm Mountain
- Evening in the cabin
DAY 8:
- Lake Peyto at sunrise
- Banff Gondola
- Lunch at Sky Bistro (on top of Sulphur Mountain)
- Sulphur Mountian boardwalk
- Banff Springs Fairmont (just to look around)
- Beavertails in Banff town
- Walk along the river in Banff
- Drove back to Calgary
- Killed some time in the CF Chinook shopping centre
- Back to the airport

Starting June 16th The Artsy Chicks will start their first national tour. The tour is three weeks long and will take us from Montreal to Edmonton and back, and we need your help! To see a complete list of tour dates please see below.
Why a tour?
We are all big supports of live music. Ever since The Artsy Chicks formed in 2013, the goal of the band has been to explore musical expression through improvisation and experimentation. We feel the best way to experience our music is through live performance, and we want to share that with people all over Canada. For links and descriptions of our music please see below.
During the past year we've been busy playing, and recording the first 2 records. We feel it's time to take the music on the road, and your contributions will help us move forward.
Why 6000$?
We have always maintained a DIY approach to this project and we brought it as far as we could. With band funds and personal saving we recorded both of our albums, put together a studio, and bought our own tour van last fall. Now we are at a point where we need your help to go further. To get from Montreal to Edmonton we will need 3000$ for gas, 1000$ for food for the five of us, 1000$ for lodging, 300$ for equipment insurance, and 700$ for shipping costs, rewards and perks for you.
The music:
Our first album Kwoto Zeetrus was recorded at our studio (The Aesthetic Sauna). It contains music that blends the spontaneity and excitement of improvisation, with the drama and motion of composition. It is a record that falls between genres and defines conventions. All tracks were captured live and contain no overdubs or edits.
The second album (self titled) was also recorded at The Aesthetic Sauna. It will be released on June 10th. In this record, The Artsy Chicks explore their deep love for the classic surf sound. Drawing inspiration from rock, jazz, surf and 60s 70s art pop, this album is a collection of hard hitting guitar riffs, and quirky melodies that will be stuck in your head for days.

Exploring Banff and Calgary | Canada 2019 Travel Film
Chloe and I ventured over to Canada for 8 days and it was insane! This is the short film I put together from our time there and what we got up to! The daily VLOG's will follow. What's in the video? You'll have to watch and find out! There's a small break down below.
This is the second time I've had to upload this due to copyright issues which really annoyed me becasue when I privately uploaded it it said there was copyright but the ads would go to the content owner which I'm totally happy with and then when I changed it to live they bloacked it after an hour. Hectic. So I had to re-edit the last three songs and it was just awkward and annoying. Hopefully it still looks good to you guys! Thanks for sticking around for it anyway. Hope you like it! X

TRIP BREAKDOWN
Day 1 we visited Johnston Canyon and hiked the lower falls, upper falls and ink pots. We then went home, got changed and walked through the town of Banff to the Cascade Gardens. Shortly followed by dinner and sleep because we were wrecked.
Day 2 we set off to Morraine Lake nice and early which is definitely worth doing. Avoid the crowds as much as possible. We did the Lakeshore trail there and then set off in the car to Peyto Lake. It's somewhere not as many people bother to venture to but holy hell it's worth it. We then headed back for some dinner and some drinks in Wild Bills salloon which was sick crack.
Day 3 we got up early again and drove out to Lake Louise. Again go early to avoid the crowds. Took our photos at the bottom and then did the tea-house hike. The tea-house opens at 8am and we managed to just get a seat. When we left the que was around 40 people long... So go up nice and early. It's worth it for a short break. Then we did the big beehive hike which took us along the lake and up to a sick viewpoint of lake Louise. Totally worth it. We then left there and did a drive around Lake Minnewanka. We stopped at Cascade Ponds, Johnston Lake and Two Jacks Lake. Took us around an hour to see them all and was worth it. Then home, food and sleep.
Day 4 was our last day in Banff and we got breakfast in TouLoulou's which again opens at 8am and it was full when we arrived. So go early. We then set off to do our boat cruise at Lake Minnewanka which is great. Did a small 1km hike to see the Canyons and then we set off to do the Banff gondala which you should book in advance. Went up the mountain, had some lunch and took in the views. We went home, got changed and then headed out for our final dinner and drinks before heading to Calgary.
Days 5,6 and 7 in Calgary were very chill. There's plenty to do there. We explored the city the first day and went to a pub called the Unicorn that my dad visited when he was in Canada. We watched the UFC fight that night and it was great crack! You could spend all day there easily. The next day we cycled around the city and watched a play on Princess Island which was class. Had our lunch and again went out that night for drinks and bumped into some guys from Montreal who took us to a nightclub which was sick. Can't remember it's name for reasons unknown.... Then on the final day we did the downhill Luge and it's such good crack! Do it. There's your trip break down. You'll be able to follow better in the daily VLOG's.

Calgary vs Edmonton Roast Battle Recap
Sam Walker was traded to team Edmonton for disciplinary reasons. And just like the James Neal trade, it bit Calgary in the ass. Edmonton FINALLY won a battle. Calgary is still up 2-1 in the head to head series.
