UK Chilli Farm - The Upton Cheyney Chilli Co - May 2011.
Three years ago we erected our first 60ft x 24ft poly tunnel on our farm in Upton Cheyney, which is a small village situated on the edge of the Cotswolds between the cities of Bristol and Bath in the UK. We did this prior to having ever grown a chilli plant.
Three years on we have four tunnels, and as of yesterday (May 21st 2011) we are very glad that after 5 months of tunnel building, germinating, potting on and potting out, we have finally finished this years base work.
This video shows the chilli farm in its early stages, prior to pod development. Give it a couple of months however and the farm will look very different indeed!
We hope that you enjoy the video, and should you wish to try any of the products that we manufacture please do visit our website - uptonchilli.co.uk,
CHILLI FARM IN THE UK - UPTON CHEYNEY - JUNE 2009
Based in the South West of England on the edge of the Cotswolds, in the idyllic village of Upton Cheyney you will find a small chilli farm!
This is our first year of cultivating chilli's so we are still learning, however we seem to be doing OK and are currently harvesting a variety of chilli fruits including Hungarian Hot Wax, Serrano, Jalepeno, Cherry Bomb, Caldero, Cayenne, Super Chilli, Twillight and many more...
The chillies are sold via our existing farm shop (Manor Farm - Upton Cheyney) where you can buy plants, seeds, sauces, salsas, chutneys and relishes as well as various pork and beef produce reared here on our organic farm.
The chilli farm is open to the public, so please feel free to visit us should you wish to sample the delights of UK grown chilli produce.
Cheers - Alex Duck and Dave Hawking.

The Hottest Chilli Pepper Ever?
The mild climate of the south coast of England seems an unlikely place to grow chilli peppers. But a couple of market gardeners have produced one of the world's hottest chillies, the Dorset Naga. (Oct 06)
A year in the Life of a Chilli Farmer
Duckboy Alex from the Upton Cheyney Chilli Company gives an insight to a chili farmer at the Great Dorset Chilli Festival held at Kingston Lacey, Dorset UK.
From how he started out as a chili farmer and why he decided to grow them. Now with his empire of poly tunnels he explains what each one is for and the projects he has including his new smoker and tunnels.
