Cenote Pit freediving CWT 30M (real time)
Cenote Pit, a quick dive to 30 meters, the water like a dream ...

Diving Tortugas Reef. Playa Del Carmen. Mexico. June 2008
Diving Tortugas Reef. Playa Del Carmen. Mexico. June 2008.
It was my fifth dive, part of the certification program.
Cleaning mask from water was a tremendous problem for me, right from the first time I start diving. Any time I will try to do it, I will get water in my nose, will start choking and then will shoot to the surface. On this dive I did pass successfully many other tests I suppose to take to become a certified diver.
And I've been told, that we are done with testing and just gonna go for the pleasure drift dive.
But by the end of the dive, something special was waiting for me. It was a surprise.
Master diver invited me to kneel down on a sandy spot, I thought we are going to wait for others or he is going to show me something.
He looked at me and sign me to clear my mask. We were at more than 60 ft deep. I immediately realize, If I fail to do it right, I will not be able to shoot up to the surface, not without serious consequences. For the fraction of a second cold chilling fear filed all my body and all my life went thru my mind, it was one of those moments. But I was able to calm myself down and get my scared mind under my control and was able to clear my mask flawlessly. Absolutely cool and like a real pro diver. Being very happy and proud of myself.
And then master diver signs me again to clear my mask. Everything I described before happened again, but now I felt a bit of anger, why do I have to do it again? I was losing my cool and control. I did it. Not as good, being sloppy and rushing to be done and over with, but at the same time I felt more satisfied and confident. (In the video is my second time)
Later on, already on the boat, I realize, that what I learn is not just how to clear my mask, which is I did of course, but also how to get my emotions and fears under control, suppress animal self-preservation instinct and be able to do what needs to be done.
If I will not be able to learn how to do it, I will not be able to enjoy all of those many dives, that I enjoyed after this one, or some of the other fun stuff I love to do as well and will love to tell you in my next video.
If you like my video and story, then subscribe to my channel and you will be the first to know when new videos is ready for you to watch.
Thank you.

Cancun Dive Sept 09 - Part 2
Part 2 of our scuba dive on the Cerebros reef, which is a couple of minutes boat ride from the Dressel dive shop at the Iberostar hotel, half way between Cancun and Playa del Carmen on the Riviera Maya (Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico). A shallow dive - maximum depth 14m - and a bottom time of 50 minutes. A nice current flowing along the length of the reef made for a very relaxing drift dive. Lots to see and Tomas, the videographer, did a great job capturing it all (apart from the huge Barracuda that came to say hello about 5 mins before we headed back to the surface. Thanks also to Lu, our dive master.

Second attempt to Flyboard, Playa Del Carmen, Mexico
As soon as I spotted others trying this in the sea, I KNEW that I had to give it a go.
Costs $100 for 30 minutes, and I found 30 minutes is enough for your first adventure, as it's quite exhausting focusing on balance and fighting the waves to find good take-off position when in the water.
I discovered when we were finished, that I was the first client that my jet-ski pilot Martin had taken out. He was surprised at the amount of air-time I achieved for my first-ever 'flight'.
I paid an additional $20 for the privilege of allowing them to use my own camera to record this footage.
I later discovered that they hadn't put my quality sunglasses back into my bag that they were looking after, so it looks like they received a nice tip from me too.
Great Fun!
Highly recommended!!

Laure & Patrice Scuba Wedding part II - Playa Del Carmen - Mexico
ENGLISH - FRANCAIS - ESPANOL
The second part starts on the dive preparation step where groups were made. Time to see pretty much every one getting under water before the ceremony. Then Laure & Patrice get ready them selves and swim to the heart flowers. The Ceremony starts on the traditional wedding music as requested by Laure. After few slates, rings and the kiss exchanged, Laure & Patrice leave the heart flower to swim through an alley of divers rising fins before to dance together reaching the surface.

Learn the art of Freediving
Freediving is learning the art of how to dive your own lung power in other words without the use of a tank. Think Pearl divers in the South Pacific. In freediving you will learn how to relax your body and your mind so that you can dive further and deeper than ever before. Experienced freedivers can easily hold their breath for minutes at a time. The benefit of this incredible activity is that it is a completely silent and natural way to explore the ocean. In the ocean if you are able to swim silently you become a more natural part of the environment as opposed to cumbersome and noisy scuba tanks. With improved freediving skills you will become a better snorkeler and be able to explore the reef for longer amounts of time and deeper than you imagined possible.
At the freediving school you will learn, practice and perfect breath holding skills in a controlled environment and develop the necessary skills and knowledge to safely freedive. The AIDA course is three days long where you will learn the theory of freediving, covering such topics as: physics that apply to freedivers, breathing techniques, and safety rules.
Classes begin in a static environment such as a swimming pool where you can begin to learn basic Apnea (breath holding). After you have improved your skills in a static environment you will then freedive in a cenote with the goal of reaching from 16 to 20 meters (48 to 60 feet) and a static apnea (holding your breath in a swimming pool) for up to 2 minutes.
The classes are taught by an accomplished freediver. This diver has a passion for the ocean that inspired him to become a scuba instructor taking him across the world until he discovered the Yucatan Peninsula. It was here that he founded his Freediving school with his goal of sharing his passion and experience in freediving with others. This diver prides himself in his teaching skills and his courses which combine fun and learning of this incredible sport.
This sport is for ocean lovers who are interested in improving their breath holding skills and becoming a improved watermen or simply furthering their skills to better blend into the natural environment. The feeling of freediving is hard to describe but the ability to hold your breath and go deeper than you thought possible is blissful. This activity is beautiful and amazing. Give it a try and learn from someone who is a great teacher with experience.
