Great concert in Birmingham Town Hall just before Christmas
A very talkative Robert Plant and as usual in good mood and form.
Great band that plays a fusion of Blues, Gospel, BlueGrass, rock and folk music.
I fell in love with this show and such wonderful rendition of great tunes.
The Keltic influences are haunting and makes the songs dancing in mystic.
Suzi Dian is a great vocalist and if you like Roberts collaboration with Alison Krauss and Patti Griffin you should absolutely check Suzi out.
So Happy Christmas and enjoy this show.

Birmingham Town Hall 2017
Despite Wednesday 15th. February 2017 being a grim, grey, damp, cold day I took a bus into Birmingham City Centre. After a fascinating first visit inside Birmingham Cathedral & a delicious glass of Cinnamon Tea in The Damascena Restaurant, I wandered around the outside of Birmingham Town Hall, where I have booked a seat for a Rick Wakeman Concert in June. I hoped to get a look inside as I have never been to a concert there, but sadly I was not allowed. I contented myself with capturing a video of The Town Hall & Victoria Square. I chose a piece of Piano Music titled Evening Fall by Kevin MacLeod to enhance my video, so many thanks for that that & for whetting my appetite for Rick Wakeman on Grand Piano in June.

Birmingham International Convention Centre and Symphony Hall
By the 1980s Birmingham industry was mostly dependent on making cars and lorries but it was hit hard by that decade’s recession and the city’s economy collapsed. This brought high levels of unemployment and social unrest to the area.
The Birmingham International Convention (BICC) and Symphony Hall were projects designed to regenerate the city from a run-down industrial area to a more service-based economy. The city council’s design brief included the 2,200 seat Symphony Hall – a home for Simon Rattle’s City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra – and a 1,500 seat theatre. Other elements included a 2,700m2 hall for exhibitions and banquets and 8 smaller conference spaces.
The centre was built on the site of Bingley Hall, the world’s first purpose-built exhibition space when it opened in 1850. The centre’s first event was the annual congress of the British Small Animal Veterinary Association. It’s hosted their congress every year since then.

The last trumpet sounds for Humphrey Lyttleton at Birmingham Town Hall.
From One Foot in the Past.. Humphrey Lyttleton, a presenter well-known for his innuendo on BBC Radio 4s Sorry I Haven't a Clue, walks straight past the Floozy in the Jacuzzi (the fountain) for the delights of Birmingham Town Hall, England. Hump(hry) recounts his Jazz concerts as one of the best trumpeters in Britain, as well as admiring the architecture. This One Foot in the Past dates from c.1994; and, sadly, Hump died in 2008.
