We booked a family Kayak & Lilo adventure up the Storms River Gorge in Tsitsikamma National Park on South Africa's Garden Route as a birthday gift for Ralph.
What an amazingly fun family activity! After kayaking up the river, we transferred onto heavy duty lilos and paddled even further up the shallower river. The kids loved playing on the lilos and jumping off the rocks into the dark brown tanin-stained water, and we loved the peace, tranquility and beauty of the ancient Tsitsikamma forest, the amazing caves and the stunning deep gorge.

Quad Biking Adventure at Tsitsikamma Adventureland - Misty Mountain Reserve
We tried out Misty Mountain Reserve's new quad biking adventure - what a blast! The two hour tour took us splashing and zooming through farmlands and pine plantations to the most incredible viewpoint at the Storms River National Park and marine reserve.
This is the perfect activity for teens and anyone wanting to combine the magnificence of Tsitsikamma with a buzz of adrenaline.

On Day 3 in south africa we took our rental car and headed towards storms river tsitsikamma , via garden route. It was a long drive through scenic garden route from coffee bay. We enjoyed every part of our drive of 7-8 hrs without even stopping for lunch.

This kayak and lilo adventure on the Storms River is a must do bucket list adventure. The Garden Route is not only famous for its adventure activities but also its beauty. You are one with nature in so many different ways.
A magnificent way to explore the hidden world of the Storms River gorge than most people ever do and experience the long, bottomless pools, deep caves and ancient forests with nothing but the quiet noises of nature around you.
On tour first day touring the Garden Route we visited Tsitsikamma National Parl. We had the pleasure of hiking through the lush forest, then kayaking underneath the famous suspension bridge into the peaceful Storms River gorge with deep ancient caves and beautiful forests.

Day 10 - Garden Route Adventure, Intrepid Tour
This National Park is a must when passing through the Garden Route! Protecting both land and sea, steep ancient forests meet the breakers of the Indian Ocean. Spectacular place for walking and viewing wildlife.
Biggest attractions are the suspension bridges that connect you along the rugged coast, overlooking the Stormsriver Mouth. To get a better view of the landscape we kayaked into an amazing crevasse, transferred onto lylos (watch our guide Tate perform amazing tricks!) and did some cliff jumping.

The fourth day in South Africa ,on our epic road trip. We woke up on Christmas day and had a hearty breakfast at the village lodge and headed towards Tsitsikamma National Park. We spent hours hiking towards the Storms River bridge mouth and loved it completely. Then we headed towards the Knysna for Knysna Head. We enjoyed at Knysna Head, beach and Leisure island before calling it a day. Our AirBnB hosts were great and had a private pool where the boys took a dip in bone chilling water with their drink and enjoyed the sunset from there.

Tsitsikamma Falls Adventures - Zip-Line TsiTsiKamma - Africa Travel Channel
Situated 8km from the Storms River Bridge on the N2, Tsitsikamma Falls Adventure Park offers spectacular Zipline adventure slides across the Kruis River. The eight slides, of which the longest is 211m, zigzag along cables across the river gorge, as high as 50m above the water in some places. Each section presents its own surprises, adventure, wonders and beautiful views over indigenous Tsitsikamma fauna and flora. Users can control the speed of their descent, allowing them to stop midcable to take in some of the awesome views over the waterfalls. Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour Experience on Garden Route | Rhino Africa
