Trout Fishing Deep Creek NC Upstream of the Deep Creek Campground
Trout Fishing Deep Creek NC was pretty tough in 2016 as a result of the low water, but the trout fishing in deep pools ended up being productive. If you are interested in Great Smoky Mountains National Park Trout Fishing, this video will give you a look at the stream starting from the Deep Creek campground (near Bryson City) so you can assess the water. GSMNP fly fishing is usually pretty good. and perfect for using Tenkara type fly fishing rods.

Fly Rod Museum in Bryson City, N.C. Gary J on the GoldWing
Bryson City N.C.has a number to things to see and do. Here we visit the Fly Rod Museum. Which is really awesome. They have Fly rods that are made of Bamboo from the 1890s and up. And flies and poppers from some of the best makers in the world. My father taught me how to Fly rod fish when I was a boy. I love it and make my own flies and poppers. I have also collected Bamboo Fly rods and reels and other fishing items. A bamboo Fly rod is a piece of art. You can catch all kinds of fish on a Fly rod, even in the ocean.
Chasin' the Dream - Fly Fishing Western NC
Chasing the Dream takes place in Western North Carolina where we fished the Tuckaseegee River and the Lower Nantahala. Through fly fishing we have met some very cool people and we love sharing our passion with the ones who love fly fishing too. We got some great help from our friends at the Tuck Fly Shop. Tuck Fly shop is a great group of guys and if you are ever in the Bryson City area head over to their shop and check them out.
Also big thanks to William Williams (@williaminnc) and Evan Norris (@wnc_flybum) who came and fished with us and showed us a thing or two about the Tuck.

Tuckasegee NC Section 3 - Kayaking
DANGEROUS start for two others, so viewer discretion is advised.
However we only had two swims in our group with one being because a dog that was rescued didn't exactly balance out the boat. I was the only non PFD of this trip in our group (my last go was over a year ago so my lines weren't the best), great time.

Western North Carolina Fly Fishing Trail
Alex Bell makes catching trout look easy. He's been fishing these waters in Jackson County for many years. He was one of a handful of people who put together a formal map of the waterways in Jackson County where the trout can be found. 15 spots along the fly fishing trail earmark the Tuckasegee River and smaller streams and creeks. The map includes places to park, and to stay. The delayed harvest section of the Tuckasegee River is stocked with rainbow, brown, and brook. Water is a wonderful outdoor recreation source Learn more about the Western North Carolina Fly Fishing Trail:

Streamers on the Tuckasegee [Fishing the Smokies]
Fly Fishing the Tuckasegee River in Sylva, NC.
The Tuckasegee (Tuck) is a great place to catch trout in the winter, it is a tail water fed by two dams up stream. Water temps stay fairly stable and the state stocks monthly during the winter and spring on the Delayed Harvest sections of the river.
Today I spent the day fishing streamers on the Tuck.
Temps were in the low 30s with water temps in the high 30s to low 40s.

Elk Creek Fly Fishing, North Carolina 1-1-12
A nice morning and afternoon on Elk Creek in North Carolina. Although only a couple of bites and one fish landed on video, the weather cooperated until the end, when it began to rain.
