Here's what happened to us when we rented a scooter in Cozumel Mexico. We found a little piece of heaven, alone on the most incredible beach.

EXPLORING TULUM
I really can’t express how much I loved Tulum and all the adventures I got to do and the ones I still want to do. Tulum has so much to offer from beaches, cenote, ruins, snorkeling, shopping, food and the beautiful architecture of the buildings. Now some things to know about Tulum there’s no direct flights. I flew in to Cancun and rented a car. Tulum is small and bike friendly. I definitely recommend renting a bike if your wanting to explore. Tulum has two busy streets and one of them has all the hip hotels, restaurants and shopping. You’ll definitely make it easier on yourself if you rent a bike then trying to find parking that’s a pain. Keep cash on you and know when the on and off season is so you can go at the best time for the beaches. Some things I didn’t get todo and wish I did was to check out some more hipped restaurants, I wanted to try two in particular Heartwood and Rosa negra. Azulik is the one place I wanted to stay and didn’t for the fact the villas are crazy expensive. your looking at the cheapest to most expensive villa ranging from $400-$1400 a night. of course the ones I wanted to stay in was the sea villa and up hahah. A villa is only for two people so sadly you can’t get a group to help you split the cost. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous so I definitely recommend at lest looking it up online to see them. Another cento I would have liked to see is Sac Actun. Unfortunately I didn’t get to enjoy the beaches on this visit to Tulum for the fact the water had a huge seaweed issue. The beach actually stinked but At lest Cancun still is pretty and its not that far of a drive. Next time I go I definitely want to check out holbox. If your wanting to know the places I did visit and where I stayed then stay toned for my Tulum vlog.

The 'Tourist Strip' of Tulum
Past the Ruins, you turn left off 307 onto 109 and just keep driving and you come to the part of Tulum that it's all about. Now this is laidback, by the beach, tropical hanging out at it's max. Neat little shops, lots of boutique hotels, eating places - this is just a great place to vacation. Need to unwind ? - check out Tulum. Location@ googlemap of Quintana Roo @ yolotraveller.com

How to Relax in Tulum, Mexico
We rented a scooter and did about 60 miles around Tulum. We visited the Sian Kaan Which is full of amazing wild life and and we found several beaches to melt away the stress from home. The Beaches are absolutely beautiful! This was a fantastic day!
The BEST CENOTE in TULUM! Plus the Biosphere.
Tulum, Mexico is home to the incredible Sian Ka'an Biosphere Nature Reserve ( that has turquoise blue water fed from the many Cenotes in the area. Our guide through the Nature Reserve was Pastor, and if you're thinking of taking a tour through the Biosphere you must email him ahead of time. It's worth it!
pastorcaamal@gmail.com
We started our day off by visiting the Cenote Calavera, near Tulum, Quintana Roo, with small holes to jump through. This cenote is half in a cave and half exposed. But what makes this the best cenote is the fact that it is so close to the town of Tulum, that you can easily bike there, and it is right next to the Grand Cenote, so you can do both on the same trip.

Mexico | Female solo traveller | Mexico City | Tulum | Bacalar
If you ever get invited to Mexico, SAY YES!
In 2 weeks I visited Mexico-City, Cancun (Chichen Itza), Tulum (Coba), Bacalar, Playa del Carmen and Cozumel. Everything on the east coast was by bus.
I flew to Mexico City where I stayed at my friend’s place for a week. Living like a local in one of the most modern neighbourhoods ‘Condesa’, full with coffee shops, cute bars and food stands on every corner of the street.
After a week it was time to hit the road again, next stop: Cancun, the place to be to party like there is no tomorrow.. or to catch a bus to Chichen Itza. Book your tour through ‘Party Rockers Cancun’ and if Rex is your tour guide, you will learn a lot about the history of one of the seven world wonders.
As Cancun became more popular, people started to travel further down south. Playa del Carmen became popular, followed by Tulum.
Tulum (in my opinion) is a great combination of Bali and Ibiza. Rent a bike and cycle to the cenotes and ruins, go to the city or sip on your cocktail at one of many tropical beach restaurants/bars.
It takes 4 hours and 200 pesos for a bus drive from Tulum to Bacalar. Even worth going for a day. It’s very authentic and more quiet than the cities above. You’ll find complete peace when getting in or onto the water as it’s also known as the Maldives of Mexico.
Last but not least, escaping the busy streets of Playa del Carmen is possible in a few ways. I choose to hop on the ferry with Cozumel as my destination. It’s such small island that a day or 2 is more than enough. Rent a scooter to get around the island or go snorkelling at El Cielo which unfortunately wasn’t possible when I was there because of the wind.
Yes, Mexico is safe! I havent had any trouble during my stay. People are very helpful and kind. But keep your eyes open and don’t be naive, you’ll then have the best experience! Enjoy the culture, food, language and many breathtaking places.
TULUM to PISTE, Mexico by rental car (beach day)
We were determined to get to the beach in Tulum, even if it was raining. We got about 45 glorious minutes on the beach until we were caught in a tropical rainstorm that hit faster than the blink of an eye. After a run back to the car, we headed to Playa Del Carmen to see how it held up next to Tulum. Playa Del Carmen is much bigger, more metropolitan, and good for tourists who are interested in a major hotel beach vacation. Tulum is much more jungly and better for people who are interested in a more integrated in nature experience.
We also did not expect all the tolls on the drive to Piste (near Chichen Itza), but enjoyed a great road trip across Quintana Roo and Yucatan.

The Tulum Cenotes and Ruins you need to see.
Tulum, Mexico has the best cenotes, and some incredible Coba Ruins, which are one of the few Mayan ruins that you can still walk on.
We recommend swimming in the Cenote Chu-Ha and Cenote Tankach-Ha, after visiting the Coba Ruins, right when they open at 8am.
