Seventeen year old Jack is the apple of his mother’s eye. Di and David have devoted their whole lives to giving him every opportunity they never had – and as a result, Jack is smart, outgoing, and well on his way to achieving the grades to study Law at Durham University.
But a startling incident outside the school gates threatens to ruin everything they’ve striven for, an incident that suggests a deep hatred of their son… As events begin to accelerate, Di and David start to doubt Jack’s closest friends, Jack himself, and ultimately themselves – who can they trust?
In a world where smartphones are ubiquitous, James Fritz’s deeply provocative and topical drama throws a light on the sorts of insidious opportunities new technology offers – where nothing dies online, except reputation.

Blue Skies to Black Umbrellas - Brian Clarke
Blue Skies to Black Umbrellas.
Twelve Driven Australians. One Big City.
Brian Clarke. Brian moved to United Kingdom in April 2005 to setup Aussie Rules UK, which was established to promote and develop Australian football in the UK. Brian has been able to combine his two passions: Aussie Rules and travel, and he has never looked back!
Created by film-makers David McLagan and Brad Lawson, Blue Skies to Black Umbrellas examines the diverse experiences of twelve unique, highly driven Australians in pursuit of their dreams in London.
In a series of candid interviews conducted between 2007 and 2010, the film-makers explore the personal stories behind the diaspora and ask what it is about London that captures imaginations -- and holds them -- despite all the obvious difficulties. (To say nothing about the weather!)
The films also examine the notion of Australianness and ask how important this complex mindset has been in helping break down social barriers and achieve lofty goals.
Often surprising, sometimes controversial, Blue Skies to Black Umbrellas brings into focus a whole new breed of intelligent Australian, determined to reach the very top -- in arguably the world's toughest, most competitive city. And helps put to bed the stereotypical Earls Court Aussie once and for all.
The twelve films feature: Tim Minchin, Perrier Award Winning Comedian; Lyell Strambi, COO, Virgin Atlantic Airlines; Darryn Lyons, Mr Paparazzi, Chairman, Big Pictures; Michael Lynch, CEO Southbank Centre, London; Meredith Hooper, Polar Scientist and Author; Ryan Heath, Social Commentator and Political Speechwriter; Kristina Dryza, Futurist; Nikki Gemmell, Broadcaster and Author; Eugenie Harvey, Social Campaigner; Paul O'Donnell, Entrepreneur; Brian Clarke, Founder, Aussie Rules UK and Lisbeth Savill, Entertainment Lawyer.

Tierney is travelling to London this evening after a £25m deal was agreed between the two clubs. The Scotland international is due to undergo a medical before signing on the dotted line. Arsenal are due to pay an initial £18m plus £7m in add-ons, according to Sky Sports. He will become Unai Emery's fifth signing of the summer transfer window. Tierney was spotted at Edinburgh airport before his flight to London. He is expected to put pen to paper on a five-year contract worth £75,000-a-week. Tierney is currently sidelined after undergoing a double hernia operation at the end of last season. Celtic boss Neil Lennon expects the 22-year-old to return to full training next week. When asked about Tierney’s future on Tuesday, Lennon said: “We were talking about it on the plane over here as it’s all gone a bit quiet, which is surprising for me.“I know these deals can get done at a minute to twelve. I’d be surprised if there wasn’t another offer for Kieran, but delighted.“He’ll be fit in a week or two. He still has some abductor pain, but I think the pubic problem is starting to settle and he’s over the double hernia.“I know there is talk of him being out for another eight weeks, but that’s...
Britain's Biggest Storm
Twenty years ago (1987) Britain was hit by its biggest storm in three centuries - it caused £1 billion in damage and killed 19 people. Personal memories of narrow escapes that night are as riveting now as they were just after the hurricane hit, so the re-enactments here are gripping. Among others, we hear from a woman in Kent who almost gave birth in the road trying to get to hospital (she later named her baby Andrea Gail), the man who made monumental decisions to prevent the national grid crashing, and the weather forecasters who didn't predict the storm. A fantastic reminder of an extraordinary occurrence

How to Ride the London Tube
A guide to riding public transportation in London, the London Underground, also known as the London Tube. I tell you everything you need to know to ride the underground trains in London including how to buy tickets, how to plan your trip, and how to find your train.
Overview:
The London Underground, also called “The Tube” -- but never “subway” is generally the quickest mode of transport for journeys to another neighborhood or across town.
Might not be the best for going a short distance though. Locals laugh at tourists who take the tube one stop.
270 stations on 12 lines which are named and colored. Red is the central line.
Trains run 5:30am until Midnight Mon-Thurs, 1am on Friday and Saturday, and Sunday is 6:30am to 11:30pm
Rush hour is 8-10am and 5-7pm
Planning your journey:
Every station has a map, but it’s not to scale, or even geographically correct.
Handy to carry a map with you.
Google Maps is OK. Doesn’t really account for transfer time.
But the citymapper app is way better. Includes walking time, and what part of the train to ride.
Buying a ticket:
Yes you can get a paper ticket, but its 5GBP for one ride. Hardly worth it.
First things first -- Get an Oyster Card -- 5 GBP deposit, then load it up.
Stored value, or a travel pass. (travel pass can be paper)
You can buy it from any tube station, vending machines take bills, coins, and credit card. But it might not take YOUR credit card. Use machines to top up card too.
Getting in:
Every station has ticket gates, find the ones that have an arrow that indicates it is for entry. EIther insert your paper ticket in the slot, or tap your oyster card. Will show the oyster balance. You can also use a contactless credit card, but maybe not YOUR card.
Finding the platform:
Since you planned your route, you’ll know what line you’re taking. Look for the overhead sign, and find the direction (Northbound, Eastbound, etc)
The platforms are well marked and signs indicate the way to the platforms and the destinations served by the various platforms.
Not all trains on a line travel to all stops. Be sure that the train you take travels to your destination by reading the overhead signs or the illuminated sign on the front of the train.
Also make sure you take train on the correct branch.
Riding the train:
Mind the gap getting on.
Sit or stand.
Mind the priority seats, and mind your head. The doors are curved.
Maps inside the train
Stops are well announced and you can see outside the window the stops too.
I usually find it best just to count.
Exiting:
Once you get off the train, you’ll either be connecting or exiting.
If you’re connecting look for the overhead signs for your transfer line
If you’re exiting -- look for the “Way Out” signs.
Make sure you are going out the correct exit
And then just “tap” your way out.

In this first episode, recorded Saturday 14th April 2007, the window opens in Trafalgar Square looking down from the outside foyer of the National Portrait Gallery across the square to the fountains and foot of Nelson's Column.
After a close-up of one of the fountains, the camera moves to the far side of Trafalgar Square looking back towards the National Portrait Gallery building.
The next scene is that of Horse Guards on ceremonial duty in Whitehall. The first Guard is on horseback, and the next shot shows a standing Guard in front of the entrance to Horseguards Parade. Behind him is another Guard on horseback, mirroring the first on either side of the entrance.
The camera now arrives in Parliament Square just in time to catch Big Ben chiming. Notice, in the bottom right corner of the picture, a row of tents marking the location of the current anti-war protest across the road from the Palace of Westminster (Houses of Parliament).
Next, the camera is located in New Palace Yard, in the far corner from the Palace of Westminster. On the left side of the picture is Westminster Abbey. The next shot has a close-up of the statue of Richard I (Richard the Lionheart, King of England from 1189 to 1199.
Our final scenes in this episode are of the The British Airways London Eye, also known as the Millennium Wheel, which opened in 1999. This observation wheel carries 40 pod each containing up to 25 passengers on a 30-minute journey full-circle. It stands 135 metres (443 feet) high on the western end of Jubilee Gardens, on the South Bank of the River Thames. The scenes also take in County Hall, the former Greater London Council (GLC) building now home to the London Aquariam, galleries, and two hotels.
