Rhodos Blooming, UBC Botanical Gardens Walk, Vancouver
This is UBC (University of British Columbia) botanical gardens. The rhododendrons are in full bloom. Also includes the tree walk.
My videos are mostly first person view of walks, cities tours, tourist attractions, nature, hikes or anywhere I may be. Also can be used on a tread mill or stationary bike since I will also try to do bike rides. I only record ambient noise of the surroundings. This is especially good as an asmr feel, ideal for relaxing, studying and even sleeping as you just immerse yourself in the sounds. So at times I will also do nature sounds such as rain falling, creeks, falls, wind in trees etc… No vlogging here, sorry. I find vlogs tend to get a bit self-centered at times unless its interesting and educational. You won’t see me here talking about my life or what i had for breakfast before my hike, or how I slept last night in my tent or my emotions. You won’t hear music during the walks, only in my beats videos. It’s one of the reason why i made this channel, when i searched videos on local hikes or walks, all I saw were the face of someone the whole time or music and not the actual trail or scenery itself. I just thought there was a lack of first person view of walks and hikes.
Hence the title of my channel Silence n beats, silence as in the quiet videos I like to do and beats because I produce beats that I like to share. If all you like is the walks you can see my playlist on walks and hikes and if you want to hear my beats, check out that playlist as well. I love music and making my beats, but after too much of it, I like long moments of silence.
Thank you for watching my videos and please subscribe as it will help motivate me in making more.
Enjoy

Nitobe Garden, Vancouver 新渡戸記念庭園 CANADA
新渡戸記念庭園
The Nitobe Memorial Garden is a traditional Japanese garden located at the University of British Columbia, just outside the city limits of Vancouver, Canada. It is part of the UBC Botanical Garden and Centre for Plant Research.
One of the most authentic Japanese gardens in North America, it honours Japanese author, educator, diplomat, and politician Nitobe Inazō (1862--1933), who died in Victoria, British Columbia, and whose goal was to become a bridge across the Pacific.
The garden has been the subject of more than fifteen years' study by a UBC professor, who believes that its construction hides a number of impressive features, including references to Japanese philosophy and mythology, shadow bridges visible only at certain times of year, and positioning of a lantern that is filled with light at the exact date and time of Nitobe's death each year. The garden is behind the university's Asian Centre.
The Garden features a fully functional Japanese tea house called Ichibō-an, surrounded by an outer roji tea garden with a waiting bench and an inner garden.
The Garden also features several lanterns of different varieties, including a snow viewing lantern, and the Nitobe Lantern, featuring carvings of lotus blossoms and a dog (Nitobe's birth sign), and the inscription I.M., Inazo Nitobe, 1861--1933, Apostle of Goodwill Among Nations, Erected by his friends.

Vancouver PARKS & GARDENS: UBC ROSE GARDEN - A Meditation Video, Just Taking in the View
UBC Rose Garden viewed from the lookout. A wedding reception was underway in the garden at the time so I couldn't get into the grounds. I could only record it from the lookout spot above, but it gave me a good view of the Strait of Georgia and West Vancouver and Bowen Island.
The mansion in the beginning of the video is the Cecil Green Park House. A popular venue to hold weddings and special events because of the spectacular views it offers. It's also been the elegant setting for a lot of TV shows, films and commercials.

Vancouver PARKS & GARDENS: NITOBE MEMORIAL JAPANESE GARDEN, UBC University of British Columbia
A quiet, meditative late afternoon Fall visit to the Nitobe Memorial Garden on the grounds of UBC. Beautiful! I can't wait to visit this garden again in the Spring!
(I decided not to put any music to this video. It would ruin the tranquility of the place. Just the sounds of Mother Nature and some laughter from happy visitors.)
From the UBC website:
Nitobe Garden is considered to be the one of the most authentic Japanese gardens in North America and among the top five Japanese gardens outside of Japan. Nitobe Garden includes a rare authentic Tea Garden with a ceremonial Tea House.
“I am in Japan,” said Akihito, Crown Prince (now Emperor) of Japan as he walked through UBC’s renowned Nitobe Memorial Garden. Landscape architects and gardeners recommended by the Government of Japan created the exquisite garden out of one hectare of pristine forest.
The garden honours Inazo Nitobe (1862-1933) whose goal was “to become a bridge across the Pacific.” Among many other memorials to him is his portrait on the 5000 yen note.
Each tree, stone and shrub has been deliberately placed and is carefully maintained to reflect an idealized conception and symbolic representation of nature. There is harmony among natural forms – waterfalls, rivers, forests, islands and seas – and a balance of masculine and feminine forces traditionally attributed to natural elements. Realizing that many native trees and shrubs could be trained and pruned in typical Japanese fashion, the garden’s creators incorporated them as unique features. Some maple and cherry trees and most of the azaleas and iris were brought from Japan. A place of reflection, where each step reveals a new harmony, the garden is designed to suggest a span of time – a day, a week or a lifetime – with a beginning, choice of paths and ending.
