Vancouver PARKS & GARDENS: UBC ROSE GARDEN - A Meditation Video, Just Taking in the View
UBC Rose Garden viewed from the lookout. A wedding reception was underway in the garden at the time so I couldn't get into the grounds. I could only record it from the lookout spot above, but it gave me a good view of the Strait of Georgia and West Vancouver and Bowen Island.
The mansion in the beginning of the video is the Cecil Green Park House. A popular venue to hold weddings and special events because of the spectacular views it offers. It's also been the elegant setting for a lot of TV shows, films and commercials.

First planted by the Kiwanis Club in 1920, the Stanley Park Rose Garden now displays over 3500 bushes and features a wonderful arbor which is bedecked with the blossoms of climbing varieties throughout the summer.

Vancouver-UBC's MOA and Gardens
Once in Vancouver's UBC, my husband and I attended the Museum of Anthropology (MOA) dedicated to the Inuit's Arts and crafts from colonial times. Include also is the tranquility of the Nitobe Memorial Garden. It is part of the UBC Botanical Garden and the Center for Plant Research.
One of the most authentic Japanese gardens in North America, it honors Japanese author, educator, diplomat, and politician Nitobe
Inazō (1862–1933), who died in Victoria, British Columbia (now the sister city of Nitobe's home town Morioka), and whose goal was to
become a bridge across the Pacific. The garden has been the subject of more than fifteen years' study by a UBC professor, who elieves that its construction hides a number of impressive features, including references to Japanese philosophy and mythology, shadow ridges visible only at certain times of year, and positioning of a lantern that is filled with light at the exact date and time of Nitobe's death each year.
This videography, conceived and directed by Ricardo F Morin, brings together the narrative of throat and vocal singing by Inuit artists as well as Japanese artists, thereby sharing the magical connection expressed by these two cultures.

Hello, all! Spring just ended here so I decided to upload a short video of my friend and I biking to the Nitobe Memorial Garden and the UBC Rose Garden. I'm sorry for the bad audio on the narration. I promise to improve it in my next videos! T.T

Walking in UBC 大学 (University of British Columbia) - Sightseeing in Vancouver BC Canada
We are walking in the middle of the University of British Columbia, one of Canada's most reputable institutions of higher learning.
At 0:20 to the right, you can see Buchanan Tower (as far as I can remember there are offices in this building). At 0:55 the tall buildings to the east are where students live (some of the views can be quite spectacular). You will notice that at 1:24, normal cars aren't supposed to travel on these roads (this wasn't the case a few years ago). We pass by several other building and at 6:04, we have the new student union building. Finally at 7:08, there is the UBC bookstore where you can buy UBC related goods.
This is a very small section of UBC. Please stay tuned for more videos.
