Scotland - A place that always live in your heart | Lokesh Chawla
I and my few trade friends visited the beautiful Scottish places in the UK, and believe me, we were simply mesmerised. Scotland is part of Great Britain and is surrounded by awe-inspiring and beautiful mountains, lakes and paddy fields.
During this trip, we covered beautiful monuments and castles like Edinburgh Castle, Stirling Castle, William Wallace Monument, The Royal Mile, Edinburgh Dungeon etc.
If you are planning for your UK visit, and you have a passion to explore the unexplored, please do get in touch with us!

Exploring Southwest Scotland | Scottish Lowlands | Scottish Ocean | vlog#6
We were expecting to drive down to the southwest peninsula of Scotland only for the reason of catching a ferry to explore the western isles of Scotland. Things changed.. you surprised??
We ended up just staying on Scotland's mainland because we just didn't have enough time to get out to Islay and do all the distilleries this time. Anyways, we were happy to stay in Tarbert, Scotland (probably one of our favorite little villages in Scotland) just exploring the castle, church, and small harbor! We eventually made it all the way to the tip of the peninsula through Campbeltown, Scotland and camped just south of Southend, Scotland. We absolutely love the Scottish ocean and coastline.
We could barely make out the silhouette of Northern Ireland and were literally blown away by the wind! Check out the video, like, comment, and subscribe! Cheers!

Blethering Ben - 81 - A walk up Puck's Glen
Everyone loves waterfalls don't they? But Puck's Glen in Argyll, with more waterfalls than you can count, takes the experience to a whole new level. I was worried that this short walk, regularly cited as one of the finest short walks in Scotland wouldn't live up to the hype.......but this strange, sopping wet and very very green Victorian oddity more than delivers.
This video blog takes you the full distance of the glen from the bottom to the top, through the lower and then upper sections. Be warned though, the constant roar of rushing water might make you want to nip to the loo!
Take a different path in Ayrshire & Arran
Have you been to Ayrshire & Arran recently? You might just be surprised at what you see.
The Robert Burns Birthplace Museum in Alloway is the ideal place to start before you venture inside Burn’s cottage where Scotland’s National Bard was born in 1759. Continue your Burns’ adventure at Rozelle House where you’ll find Tam O’ Shanter paintings by Alexander Goudie. Don’t miss the Burns House Museum in the charming cobbled backstreets of Mauchline and enjoy an audio tour.
Described as one of Britain’s most beautiful stately homes, Dumfries House is a real gem, boasting priceless Chippendale furniture in opulent rooms. Throughout the estate discover woodland walks, the Queen Elizabeth Walled Gardens, or lose yourself in the maze. Near Maybole, the impressive Culzean Castle & Country Park with its grand turrets, is not to be missed and Kelburn Castle and Country Centre in Fairlie is adorned with graffiti courtesy of Brazilian street artists.
Across the water on the Isle of Arran, the Machrie Moor Standing Stones which date back up to 4,500 years, are set in stunning landscapes. At Brodick Castle, Garden and Country Park wander the gardens with views down to Arran’s coastline. Discover lush woodland, waterfalls and a summer house before having some fun in the new Isle be Wild adventure playground.
The Scottish Dark Sky Observatory near Dalmellington is found in the Galloway Dark Sky Park, the first of its kind in the UK. This is one of the best places to admire the dark skies, and they are so clear that you are likely to see the Milky Way with the naked eye.
For a change of pace, get your glad rags on and head to Ayr Racecourse, which also hosts the Scottish Grand National and the Gold Cup, popular days out full of excitement and glamour. Or why not tee off at almost 50 courses and 3 Championship Courses, like Royal Troon, or try a more unique course like Shiskine Golf Course on the Isle of Arran which has 12 holes and spectacular views?
The Isle of Cumbrae is a compact island accessed by Ferry from Largs in just 15 minutes! Ideal for cycling thanks to its size as well as being home to an array of wildlife.
In Irvine, you will find the Scottish Maritime Museum which is the home to Scotland’s seafaring heritage giving a fascinating insight into the importance of Scotland’s maritime heritage. The museum also hosts Irvine Harbour’s Festival of Light which is back again in 2019.
With miles of coastline in the area you are spoilt for choice. Take a stroll on Ayr beach, explore rockpools at Croy Shore, or why not try kitesurfing in Troon?

With the incredible rugged coastline, white-soft beaches and epic surf, the Caithness region is an undiscovered gem for those wanting to grab their board and hit the waves somewhere new.
Together Travel hosted the Gumball Rally 3000 crew back in early 2016, where they kicked back in our luxury lodges, witnessed the breath-taking Scottish sights and sought out some of the best surfing adventures to be found.
Not only that, but they were lucky enough to get front row seats to the Aurora Borealis from the comfort of our deckchairs - where else can you make that claim?!

EXPLORING AN ABANDONED INSANE ASYLUM!
For this weeks video I wanted to do something a little different than usual. And this had been on my list of things to do for a while now. This week we are gonna pay a visit to somewhere hidden from sight, with a deep, dark, eerie past.... we are gonna pay a visit to...
SCOTLANDS HIDDEN ASYLUM
CALDWELL HOUSE
Originally built in 1771 as a mansion house designed by famous Scottish architect Robert Adam, Caldwell House has been hidden deep in the outskirts of Glasgow for over 245 years.
In 1927 it was converted into a hospital for the treatment of children with mental illnesses and brutal deformities, it continued to be used for this purpose until it was closed in 1985.
It was then bought by a private owner with intentions of turning it into a nursing home, however plans for this were brought to a sudden and eerie end in 1995 when the main house was burned down under suspicious circumstances.
Ever since then the house has stood derelict and dilapidated, with rumors of ghostly apparitions and paranormal activity giving residents in the surrounding areas shivers up their spine.
Caldwell is a mansion and old estate with the remains of a castle nearby. These lands lie close to the Lugton Water and the villages of Uplawmoor in East Renfrewshire and Lugton in East Ayrshire.
A new mansion house was built around 1712 by William Mure on the lands of Ramshead, however the present Robert Adam designed house was built by his son, William 'Baron Mure' about 200 yards lower down from the original. Caldwell is the last in a series of early experimental houses in the castle style which began in England with Ugbrooke House and in Scotland with Mellerstain House in Berwickshire. The house is protected as a Category A listed building.
In 1799, Jean Hunter Mure, writing from Caldwell, records that Mr Mure is at present in the very agony of making a new garden on the Brandy Hill behind the stables and offices. He has converted the old house into stables and means next year to take away the offices entirely which will make an immense improvement to the place for at present they are not a beautiful ornament . This new garden was extensive and incorporated a hot-house.
Caldwell House was the Mure family home until 1909. In 1927 Govan District Health Board converted the building into a hospital for the mentally insane and later a children's home which operated until 1985. Alterations, including the removal of the main stair to accommodate a lift shaft, led to a general decline in the state of the interior. External changes also occurred. These included fire escapes and additional boiler room and laundry buildings attached to the house. In 1987 the estate was sold off in lots by the Secretary of State. In 1995 a serious fire caused further internal deterioration and the loss of most of the roof. The building has been on the Scottish Civic Trust's Buildings at Risk register for some years. In 2006 attempts to secure restoration of the building through a Council led restoration project were initiated
Being at this place made me think of the second season of the show American Horror Story... ASYLUM! With thoughts of the opening scene of the first episode when Adam Levine explores the abandoned Briarcliff Manor. Altho we didn't come face to face with bloodyface ( Zachary Quinto ). Hes exploring this in present day, but then we get to see its rich history and dark past with characters such as Sister Jude ( Jessica Lange ) Sister Mary Eunice ( Lily Rabe ) Lana Winters ( Sarah Paulson ) and Kit Walker ( Evan Peters ). It makes me wonder what would have went on here at Caldwell House, and how it is steeped in history and moments that no one will never know about except from the people there at the time, whose ghostly spirits may still be there now!
