Serving on a UU board in Canada: legal and practical perspectives
Geoff Gomery, a lawyer and former board member at the Unitarian Church of Vancouver, offers legal context and practical advice on serving on Unitarian Universalist boards in Canada. Filmed in autumn of 2015.

The last day for the Larch street market and we decided to make the most of the day and interview some of our favorite farmers. Many of which has been providing the best service and produce in our area.

Sorry to my loyal audience for the late posting of this video, it's been a busy summer, now that things are slowing down I'll be posting more videos regularly.
This video we go for a quick run to the Kitsilano farmers market! We had a lovely time and we even saw DAVID SUZUKI! We love being able to support small farmers and local businesses as much as possible, so if there's a farmers market near you, check it out!
So if you're ever in Kitsilano on a Sunday during the farmers market season, which in kits is , 10am-2pm from May 7 – Oct 22 at 10th Ave. & Larch St.
If you're ever in the Vancouver area, there's no shortage of farmers markets all over the city on different days, especially in the summer. Check out the schedule and all locations here -

????QBIOGRAPHY
At 14 years of age Julie Wu has already received much success and acclaim for her performances. Her first music lessons were with her mother, and since that time she has studied with Dr. Tanya Shevtsova, Dr. Henri-Paul Sicsic, and most recently with Professor Arthur Rowe at the University of Victoria.
To date her awards and prizes include a gold medal at the 2013 International Young Gifted Musicians Festival Passion of Music” Competition in New York City followed by an award winners performance at Carnegie Hall. In addition to this, in 2014 Julie was a first place winner at the American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition in New York City, which was also followed by a performance at Carnegie Hall.
Julie has also had successes in a number of Canadian competitions. She was a finalist at the Canadian Music Competitions in 2013, and in 2016 she was awarded second place in the Canadian Music Competitions National Final for pianists 14 years and under, held in Quebec. She was also a Gold Medalist Winner at the Chinese Golden Bell Music Competition National Finals.
Having won the concerto class in the 2016 Richmond festival, where she played the Chopin second piano concerto in F minor, she was invited to perform this work with the Richmond Orchestra in February of 2017 as part of the Gala Awards winners concert. In 2016 she was also invited to perform with the Chilliwack Symphony under the direction of conductor Paula Dewit. Julie is a 2017 Vancouver Women's Musical Society Scholarship Winner in the Junior Piano Division.

As a new lunar year begins, we will be checking on some of the latest news from the cosmos and the ground under our feet for compelling examples of the interdependent web of all existence. In fact and feeling, we may leave this worship service with a renews respect for our 7th Principle.
Steven Epperson has been the Parish Minister of the Unitarian Church of Vancouver since 2002. Rev. Epperson was President of the UU Ministers of Canada, and is currently as the Canadian Chapter Liaison of the Ministerial Formation Network of the UU Ministers Association. He really enjoys being a grandpa.
