Our Big Gig is a community music celebration which takes place across the UK from the 11th to the 14th July 2013. This annual event aims to bring communities together to celebrate their local musical talents and get more people involved in music making. New Brighton is a seaside resort located in the north east corner of Wirral. Home to the Floral Pavilion Theatre and Conference Centre.
New Brighton has undergone a £60 million redevelopment scheme -with the Travelodge hotel, restaurants, Light Cinema and Caffe Cream Ice Cream Parlour and Coffee Shop, and Championship Adventure Golf are now open at Marine Point.
New Brighton has a wide range of attractions and facilities, especially popular are the Riverside Bowling Alley, the Laser Quest centre, and the New Palace Amusement Arcade - which includes a small fairground.
Along the coast, there is Fort Perch Rock, which is a coast battery defence and it open throughout the year. It features an Aviation and Archeology Museum, as well as a 'Luftwaffe over Merseyside' permanent exhibition. There is also Perch Rock lighthouse and Vale Park further along the promenade.
New Brighton is the quintessential seaside town, and makes a great day out for families, and for people looking to experience traditional fun.
