Thunderbolt Waialae Beach Park 5-24-2012
HONOLULU- The City Department of Emergency Management in conjunction with Hawaii State Civil Defense tested an outdoor warning siren on Thursday, May 24, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. to noon. (It was tested at about 8:40 a.m. and concluded at about 9:00 a.m.) The siren is located at: Waialae Beach Park.
The test is being conducted to ensure that the siren is operating at full power and providing optimal audible range.
Residents and businesses in the surrounding communities may hear the steady tone during the test and should not be alarmed.
Hawaii State Civil Defense funds the purchase and installation of these sirens. Once they are installed, they are released to the City for monthly testing and emergency activation.
-----------------
Notice how eerily similar it sounds compared to the former Thunderbolt at Maunalua Bay Beach Park? Harold Buckle mentioned that horn was moved here. He is the man pressing the buttons on the control box in this video.

HONOLULU- The Hawaii Emergency Management Agency (HI-EMA), together with the City and County of Honolulu Department of Emergency Management, conducted siren testing at Waialae Beach Park Friday 8-9-2019 at about 130 PM. This replaces a Thunderbolt.
Residents nearby may hear the siren sound for 30-seconds to 3-minute intervals during the identified timeframe. Testing will include short blasts known as “burps”. During the tests, Emergency Management Officials and Technicians will be checking the functionality of the sirens.
These sirens were installed as part of HI-EMA’s ongoing Outdoor Warning Siren Program. Other sirens will be updated, and new sirens installed, at various locations across the state under this Program.
The Outdoor Siren Warning System for Public Safety is one part of Hawaii’s Statewide Alert & Warning System used to notify the public during pending emergencies.
HI-EMA encourages the public to make use of other supplemental methods of warning including, but not limited to, signing up for the HNL.INFO mass text notification system and utilizing NOAA Weather Radio.
Listed below are the time stamps for each signal.

Waikiki Kalakaua Ave Beach Views Windy Day Oahu Hawaii
Waikiki Kalakaua Ave Beach Views Windy Day Oahu Hawaii 1/8/2020. We begin our walk on Kalakaua Ave by the Honolulu Zoo. We walk down Kalakaua Ave in to Waikiki stopping to see each of the beach videos. We end out walk by the Christmas store near the Moana Surfrider. It's a really windy day, sorry for the wind sounds. It's not like this in Waikiki normally but lately it has been very windy. Also, I appologize in for the slightly unsteady camera as I had to use the Hohem gimbal with the Hero 8 today because my Evo gimbal was not working. Enjoy!
