Diving off the coast of Grand Cayman Island. There is a near vertical drop-off that makes for an amazing SCUBA dive. The variety of fish, corals, sponges and caves on the wall is truly amazing. Take special note of the Giant Basket sponge and cave window stills.

7 dive locations, 12 dives, all in 14 days.
Max. depth: 142 feet
Water temperature: 27°C/81°F *
*(on average, this is what I saw on my dive computer)
This was truly an incredible trip. You don't know what the underwater world is like until you experience it first hand. The water clarity in Grand Cayman was just incredible.

Dive Locations:
Eden Rock:
Strongly recommended, as it was a pleasant surprise. We thought that the coral would be very damaged as it is right off from the harbor and it is one of the most frequently visited sites in Cayman. Surprisingly enough, the fish and coral and the whole underwater terrain and everything was just beautiful! The cave shots are all from this location.
Cobalt Coast:
Also very nice site. This was a new location created a few years ago, and had some very nice reef life. The entry and exit was a little bit tricky.
Turtle Reef:
This is where we did out 142 foot decent by the wall. Such an incredible feeling! It's like you are on top of a canyon, but the canyon's bottom is 4000 feet below you, and you don't fall, but instead hang there right above the drop. This was also the dive where my dad forgot about his computer and let his tank drain to 50psi, oops.
Turtle Farm:
Did one day and one night dive here. Great service and would recommend it because it has a great 'mini-wall' which is really close to shore. We saw some amazing creatures here at night.
USS Kittiwake Ship Wreck:
Located on 7 mile beach, we hopped on a boat and got a short ride out to the wreck. It is very accessible to even beginners as it is only at a depth of about 70 feet, with the most interesting portions at about 40 feet. You can even go snorkeling, if you have the lung capacity! The grouper (which is included in the video), was one of the first fish we saw entering the wreck. It's so cool seeing underwater life spread around the wreck, even though it was only sunk about 4 years ago.
Sunset House:
We did our last dive here. Wonderful dive sight, but to see the true beauty of the place, you have to swim in a little on the surface (so you don't waste air) and then dive down when there's about 60 feet of water below you (past the dive boats). Again as usual, great underwater life and lots of different fish!
Spanish Bay:
This was one of the most sketchy dives that we did. On this one, it was only my dad and I as my brother was actually sick at the time. We brought tanks from Eden Rock, and then took them to Spanish Bay. The two of us entered at an apartment complex which used to have a small dive shop on the shore, but was damaged in Hurricane Ivan. The cement was still there, but the houses were torn apart. Anyways, tricky entry, but well worth it. The sea was really rough when we entered. The waves were around 2 meters/6 feet high! I didn't use any of the footage shot there, as visibility was only about 100 feet (ha, *only*). Here we dived down to 137 feet, this one being my first ever wall dive!

I have never color corrected underwater footage, and it is much harder than I thought! I had to trash a lot of my footage as it was either too green, blue or red to fix! I hope this was good enough.

Grand Cayman 2016 - North Wall
Scuba Diving Grand Cayman GoPro
Scuba Diving Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands December 26-31 with Living The Dream Divers, a world class dive operation located on Seven Mile Beach. Grand Cayman offers spectacular wall diving with one of the deepest trenches in the world. During our stay we dived six times on reefs such as Eagle's Nest, Turtle Schooner, Neptune's Wall, Rainbow Reef, and Easy Street Reef. The water was a consistent 80 degrees Fahrenheit and visibility ranged from 80-100 feet. I filmed this video with a GoPro Hero 4 Silver in 1080 pixels 60fps with protune off. To compensate for red color loss, I used a red dive filter.
YouTube did not appreciate my music selection as it was copy-written and forbidden for YouTube use, so the audio cuts off around the 3:00 mark. My apologies.
Massive Seaturtle Spotted Diving Off North Wall Grand Cayman
We spotted this huge loggerhead turtle while diving off the north wall in Grand Cayman in May 2015. I think it's a loggerhead but I'm not sure what kind it is. It had huge claws on it's front flippers and barnacles all down the back of it's shell.
