Lake District Country Walk - Keswick-Walla Crag-Derwent Water round.
Our video is a guided walk in the Lake District, Cumbria. We start from Keswick up to Walla Crag and return by Cat Gill and Derwent Water. The descent from Walla Crag down Cat Gill is very steep. The views of the Derwent Water and the surrounding fells are beautiful.

Walla Crag
Overlooking Derwent Water in the north of the English Lake District lies Walla Crag, one of Alfred Wainwright's Central Fells and a perennially popular walk from nearby Keswick. Join Neil on a brisk April day, taking a a gentle bimble up the hill from the lake side.
Famously, for Wainwright, if you could count up to four, you would know its height (1,234 ft), it's now regarded as the less numerically neat 1,243 ft (379 m).
Follow us for more films of our walks in the coming weeks, and visit our website: onyvafilms.com to read more, and to suggest other walks that you would like to see.
Have a great 2019 on the hills!

Walla Crag & Bleaberry Fell, Cumbria
Walla Crag is a fell in the English Lake District, near Keswick. The fell is a popular short walk from Keswick and gives superb views over Derwentwater. The western face is prominent in views across the lake and fine views over Keswick are available from the summit. Height is 1,243ft (379m) The summit lies a little way back from the brink, the smooth heather-clad hinterland then dropping to the broad depression of Low Moss. Beyond here the ground rises again to Bleaberry Fell.
Bleaberry Fell stands at 1936ft (590m) it is the northernmost top on the ridge that separates the valleys containing the lakes of Derwent Water (Borrowdale) and Thirlmere. This ridge, which also contains the fells of High Sea and High Tove, is notoriously boggy underfoot, but Bleaberry Fell is mostly dry and the heather covered summit gives an excellent all round vista.

Our Lake District Adventure - Walla Crag
Welcome to my latest attempt of creating a video of my family adventures in the Lake District. We have lived here for a couple of months now and are thoroughly enjoying it, we can't understand why we didn't move here sooner.
The kids especially absolutely love it! And being a photographer it is simply amazing.
