-- About this video --
For today’s activity in Wanaka we are heading to Beerworks Wanaka which is a microbrewery. One of around 160 microbreweries in New Zealand! Craft beer is a passion shared by many in New Zealand so we are stoked to learn more on this brewery tour in New Zealand.
We borrow our hostel’s car in Wanaka and head toward the Wanaka Airport where Wanaka Beerworks is based. Here, we meet our passionate guide who gives us a tour of the working brewery. We learn the entire process of a small scale brewery that serves the bars and restaurants of Wanaka, Queenstown and Arrowtown, from the ingredients to the brewing to the whole 1 month process! So much to make New Zealand craft beer!
After our microbrewery tour or craft brewery tour in New Zealand, we then get onto the beer tasting trays with six different craft beers to try that have been made right here are Beerworks. We are joined by a friend that we met on the road so it turns into an afternoon of good drinks and good company.
So what do you think of this brewery tour in Wanaka. Would you add Beerworks Wanaka on your things to do in Wanaka list? Let us know in the comments!

Craft Breweries In South Island New Zealand || Wanaka Beerworks, Rhyme and Reason, and Brew Moon
New Zealand has more than 250 breweries. Most are craft and micro, with some larger exceptions.
But what is it that makes the CRAFT brewery scene in New Zealand so appealing? Is it the ingredients, water, people? Let’s get a deeper understanding…
This video is not about how beer is made, it’s about the making of the making of the beer ;) Why is craft beer in New Zealand so popular!?
Tyler and I spent two weeks traveling across New Zealand living out of a tent on top of our 4x4 rental car. It was a dream come true. We found all of the secret spots, figured out how much everything cost, learned all of the places to go, and ate all of the good food. If you want to know EVERYTHING about our New Zealand trip: I made a 7 page “Low Down” for our Patrons FOR AS LITTLE AS $2! You also get a bunch of other stuff, check it out:

BREWERIES:
We chose these three breweries because we thought that together they would be honest to us about why the do what they do in New Zealand. If you're planning a trip to South Island New Zealand we can not recommend these guys enough. Their beer is incredible.

Today we are doing the ultimate rainy day activity in Wanaka, and just one of the fun things to do in Wanaka, we are visiting Puzzling World!
Puzzling World Wanaka is made up of many illusion rooms starting with the puzzling room to have a go at some puzzles. Then it’s to the hologram hall, then the room of following faces. There are sculpture illusions and the favourites Ames illusion room. There’s not a wall in Puzzling World not covered in illusions. Even the toilets are an attraction!
However, the highlight for us and where we spend the most time in The Great Maze. The Puzzling World Maze is a 1.2km network of pathways, bridges and underpasses with two different challenges varying in difficulty. It’s a 3D maze at Puzzling World. We spend almost 2 hours trying to figure out the Great Maze at Puzzling World.
After that, we head back into the town of Wanaka on the shores of Lake Wanaka in Otago.
So what do you think of Puzzling World in Wanaka? Is it something you would add to your New Zealand must-do list? Let us know in the comments!

BREWED: A guide to the beer of New Zealand
The New Zealand beer industry is a dynamic one – full of larger-than-life, passionate characters; from loveable rogues through to budding mad scientists. Our beers are just as diverse. Bringing together brewing traditions from all over the world and combining these with Kiwi ingredients, ingenuity and creativity, we have a beer culture unlike any other.
Brewed will encourage experimentation among engaged beer consumers, helping them to discover new breweries and, with the use of the comprehensive tasting notes, benchmark them against old favourites. It will also help emerging beer drinkers to identify beers they will enjoy, starting them on a journey of discovery.
