Foreigner Tries Indian Street Food in Mumbai, India | Juhu Beach Street Food Tour
Come join us as a foreigner tries Indian Street Food in Mumbai, India at Juhu Beach for the first time. Having heard about legendary Mumbai Street Food at Juhu Beach I decided to spend my first day in Mumbai, India sampling delicious Indian cuisine and popular Indian snacks prepared for locals.
I've always dreamed of trying Indian Street Food in Mumbai and I finally had my opportunity. All in all what makes an Indian Street Food Tour so appealing is that you can alternate between savory, spicy and sweet dishes to your heart's content without spending a fortune. In fact, many Mumbai Street Food items cost only between ₹50 to 160₹ Rupees meaning you can pick things up for considerably less than $1 US dollars and at a higher end just over $2 US dollars. The following is a list of the Indian Street Food items I'd tried during my taste test tour at Juhu Beach Chowpatty:
1) Pav Bhaji - (₹160 or $2.23 USD)
A thick vegetable curry of smashed spiced vegetables served with a bun soaked in butter (ghee). The dish originated in Mumbai in the 1850s for textile mill workers.
2) Pani Puri - (₹30 or $0.42 USD)
Panipuri is a round hollow puri (fried crisp) filled with flavored chutneys and chilies. It served as a set of 6.
3) Kulfi Falooda Rabdi (₹120 or $1.67 USD)
Chopped up Kulfi (traditional Indian ice cream) served in a bowl with rose syrup, jellies, milk, cashews and vermicelli. It is a very sweet and refreshing dessert to help cool you down.
4) Ice Gola (₹50 or $0.70 USD)
Shaved ice with syrup on top. I chose the Mango Syrup which was green but I'd recommend trying another flavor.
5) Sev Puri (₹60 or $0.84 USD)
An Indian snack chaat served with puri, onions, vegetables, cheese, chutneys ands, sev (crunchy noodles).
If you're a foreigner visiting India for the first time consider trying Indian Street Food at Juhu Beach. It is a nice comfortable setting and things really come alive when the sun goes down. Here is the exact location:

Foreigner Tries Indian Street Food in Mumbai, India | Juhu Beach Street Food Tour Travel Video Transcript:
Indian fast food. It is nice. It looks delicious. Cheese Pav Bhaji. Cheese Pav Bhaji. Oh look at that. Look at that bread just coated in butter. Oh!
Hey guys! Good afternoon good afternoon. Greetings from Mumbai, India. This is my first day here. And I'm going to tell you what I'm going to go on a little bit of a street food tour. Apparently there is some really good street food stalls around here. So my plan is just to go for a wander. Kind of give you my first impressions of what it is like to be here in India. In Mumbai specifically. A city I've never visited. And yeah go eat some delicious street food.
So I'm already here at the Juhu beach. It was probably less than a five minute walk from my hotel. And it is kind of sprawls in all directions.
Just wrapping up this street food tour and my first day here in Mumbai. That was just pretty much an incredible experience. The thing I love about coming back to India and traveling here is that every time you step out the door there is going to be an adventure. You're going to meet people that are going to be charismatic or have these interesting encounters with locals and that is exactly what happened today.
Also I got to eat some really cool street food for the first time and my overall impressions of this area in Mumbai are very good. Like the beach is just an incredible place to hang out. If you are coming to India definitely consider going to this area and also trying this Indian Street Food. So anyways guys thanks so much for watching and we will have more food and travel videos from India coming soon. Ciao!

Dal Bhat (दालभात) - Delicious Nepali Food Meal (Motherly Cooked)
Dal Bhat (दालभात) is one of the most typical Nepali food meals available in Nepal. For more information check out my website:
No matter what area of Nepal you are in, when you're looking for delicious home cooked Nepali food, you'll find dal bhat. The great thing about dal bhat is that it's a delicious meal. Dal means soup, which is usually a lentil soup similar to the Indian version of dal, but a little soupier. Bhat on the other hand is a main staple starch, which normally indicated rice, but if rice is not available, it can mean another form of starch to go with the sides.
A meal of Nepali dal bhat (दालभात) all begins on a big metal plate which is piled high with rice. The dal soup is normally place in a small metal bowl and served on the side. While this is the barebones Nepali food combination, usually more sides are added to make the meal more complete. Dal bhat tarkari (दाल भात तरकारी) for instance, is the rice and dal combination along with a side of seasonal vegetables - often some kind of green vegetable fried up or curried cauliflower. Also, if you like to eat meat, there's often the option of ordering chicken, buffalo, or beef curry to accompany your meal. I personally loved chicken and buffalo curry and also a dish they call chicken chilly.
For this particular Nepali food meal I was just wandering around Kathmandu, actually getting my Thai visa, when I became extremely hungry. Nepali local restaurants are often hidden from the road by curtains which you have to pull back in order to see what's going on. This was why it was sometimes hard to find food in Nepal, because restaurants are often hidden by drapes. But nevertheless, peek your head into a curtain and there's usually something delicious. This small neighborhood restaurant was owned by a motherly lady who had a selection of delicious dishes all prepared when I arrived. I just ordered the dal bhat (दालभात) and when she asked me if I wanted chicken, I couldn't resist. A plate of rice, peas and potatoes curry, chicken curry, and dal was what came with my meal. After downing my first helping, she then brought more more and more food, a bowl of chickpeas that were slightly cold and still quite firm, and a soft boiled egg, which I was extremely excited about.
The egg was soft boiled so the yolk and even some of the white were still soft and perfect to go over my plate of rice. Along with some of the achar chili sauce, a sort of Nepali food salsa, the egg was incredible! Dal bhat makes a wonderful and fulfilling meal when you're in Nepal. It's served fresh, it's for the most part nutritious, and it really satisfies when you're hungry!

Mumbai Wandering
Travelling Mumbai, India - March 2018
The No Plan, Plan for Exploring India and Wandering with Ease
I'm traveling around Mumbai, running errands, and trying to decide where to go next. I love exploring India and even like just wandering around and running errands. I didn't know if I would like India when I went for the first time. I was kinda scared to go to India because I'm a solo female traveling alone in India. And i wasn't sure if being solo in india would still be safe. But even when I was wandering lost in mumbai, the most questionable part was trying to cross the street! Oh and when I got lost near the slums. But no one ever bothered me on the streets or gave me any sort of hard time.

Mark Wiens Visits the Majestic Taj Mahal ताज महल (and some FOOD)
The Taj Mahal is one of the most famous attractions in all of India, and we visited Agra with the specific intent of going to the famous site. More travel and food adventures
I normally don't go to a destination specifically to see the main attraction, most of the time I'm rather content to just wander around and discover street food and explore instead of chasing the famous sites. But Agra, India, was a little different, and we visited with the main intent of going to see the famous Taj Mahal - one of the most recognized man made structures in the world.
When we arrive to Agra, we checked into Hotel Taj Plaza, which wasn't the overly nicest hotel I've stayed at, but it was the right price and it was just a 5 minute walk from the Taj Mahal. After putting our bags down we headed to the ticket counter which is actually not located at the Taj Mahal, but about 1 kilometer down the street. There you purchase your ticket and then can take a free shuttle to the entrance of the Taj Mahal.
One thing that got me a bit annoyed was that the security wouldn't allow me to bring in my microphone into the Taj Mahal, so unfortunately the sound quality of this video is not very good, sorry about that, and hope you can hear everything.
Some say that the Taj Mahal (ताज महल) is overrated and that they were not overly impressed when they saw it in real life. But I'm here to tell you that it was quite amazing and despite all the crowds of people, the building was majestic.
The Taj Mahal is a white marble mausoleum that was built during the Indian Mughal Islamic empire by Shah Jahan in memory of one of his wives. Since it was built for one of his beloved wives, that is the reason why the Taj Mahal (ताज महल) is often considered a symbol of love. Having seen so many photos in my life of the Taj Mahal, it was almost as if I had been there already when I got my first glimpse, but being there in person is much more breathtaking. Walking around the gardens offers numbers chances to see the structure from different angles and to admire the incredible craftsmanship and symmetric architecture. After walking around the gardens we then proceeded on to the main deck where you must put the shoe coverings over your shoes and can then walk on the white marble surface. You can go inside the mausoleum to see the tombs, but they didn't allow any photography inside, so no footage there.
After spending a few hours at the Taj Mahal, I headed out the East Gate and stopped at a rather expensive restaurant known as Relax He Relax. Though the prices were pretty expensive, after visiting the luxurious Taj Mahal, I was ready for something upscale. The Muglai northern Indian food was quite excellent!

MUMBAI STREET FOOD & Getting a SIM Card in India! | Mumbai Vlog
I went out with the team at India Someday in South Mumbai to try some street food and it was so good! We had Grilled Sandwiches, Dosa, Vada Pav and Sweet Jalebi, all cooked in the streets of Mumbai!
Afterwards I visited Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Train Station, Crawford Market and then Chhatrapati Shivaji Museum before going back to Colaba Causeway to get some passport photos taken so I could get an Indian SIM Card.
My hostel - Backpackers Panda Colaba arranged for someone to meet me who had contracts for SIM cards in India. I signed a contract for a 90 day Indian Sim for 1500RS which includes call, text and data for 3 months.
I could have got a SIM cheaper at a vodafone store but getting my hostel to help made it so much easier, quicker and stress free so I was happy with what I paid.
If you need to get an Indian SIM Card for a Tourist, I recommend asking your accommodation to help you first as they should be able to.
I stayed at the Backpacker Panda Colaba Hostel which I loved and it really helped me enjoy my first day. I'd really recommend it!

FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF INDIA! Sunrise, Jumbo Dosa & Leopold Cafe in Colaba! | Mumbai Vlog
I'm in India! I landed in Mumbai at 4:00am after just 10 minutes sleep coming from Lebanon. I got an Uber from Mumbai Airport to Colaba, checked in at the hostel and then went straight to the Gateway of India to see the sunrise!
It was so quiet and peaceful and such a good start to my first day in India!
I went for breakfast with some people I met in the hostel, we went to Madras Cafe in Colaba and ordered a jumbo dosa! This was my first meal in India and it was so good!
I'm obsessed with Shantaram so I went to find Leopold Cafe on Colaba Causeway. I saw it from the outside during the day and then went back for dinner in Leopold's later that night!
This was such a good first day in India.
I stayed at the Backpacker Panda Colaba Hostel which I loved and it really helped me enjoy my first day. I'd really recommend it!

DELHI STREET FOOD TOUR - The Best & Tastiest way to see Old Delhi! | Delhi Vlog
I am back in India after a few months of being away. Delhi is my first stop and my main aim is to enjoy Delhi as a tourist as many travellers come to Delhi and find it very overwhelming.
I started my trip in Delhi on a Street Food Tour with Reality Tours around Old Delhi. We met at Connaught Place and then took the metro to Chandni Chowk station, we spent a few hours trying foods such as Aloo Chaat, Dahi Bhalla, Jalebi, Chloe Bhature and Lassi. We visited the Sikh Temple in Old Delhi including their kitchen to see how they cook, and took a few rickshaws to experience the traffic ending up at Old Delhi Spice Market - Asia's biggest spice market.
I loved this Delhi Tour and really recommend it to you as a great way to experience Old Delhi with a guide, try safe street food in India and learn about Delhi too.
