More information about the video content bellow:
1. The British Virgin Islands were colonized by the Dutch in 1648. The islands were then annexed by the British in 1672. They were administered variously as part of the British Leeward Islands or with St. Kitts and Nevis, with an administrator representing the British Government on the islands. The islands gained separate colony status in 1960 and became autonomous in 1967.
2. The Virgin Islands are in the Caribbean, east of Puerto Rico. The islands belong to a group known as the Leeward Islands which are part of the Lesser Antilles island chain. Other islands in the group include Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Guadeloupe, Montserrat and St Kitts and Nevis. The archipelago of the Virgin Islands is divided into two territories, the British Virgin Islands, and the United States Virgin Islands.
3. Road Town, located on Tortola, is the capital of the British Virgin Islands. It is situated on the horseshoe-shaped Road Harbour in the centre of the island's south coast. The population is about 12.000 people.
4. The British Virgin Islands comprise around 60 tropical Caribbean islands, ranging in size from the largest, Tortola 20 km long and 5 km wide, to tiny uninhabited islets, altogether about 150 square kilometres in extent. Population 28.000. By GDP per capita they are on equal footing with the UK, at 43.400$.
5. The British Virgin Islands have a tropical rainforest climate, moderated by trade winds. Temperatures vary little throughout the year. Hurricanes occasionally hit the islands, with the hurricane season running from June to November. Hurricane Danny (2015) was the most recent until 7 September 2017 when Hurricane Irma caused extensive damage.
6. Tourism accounts for approximately 45% of national income. The islands are a popular destination for US citizens. In 2006 a total of 825,603 people visited the islands.
7. Financial services account for over half of the income of the territory. The majority of this revenue is generated by the licensing of offshore companies. In 2000 over 45% of the world's offshore companies were formed in the British Virgin Islands. In the April 2016 Panama Papers leak, the British Virgin Islands was the most commonly used tax haven by clients of Mossack Fonseca.

NELSON’S DOCKYARD Marina ~ Antigua West Indies ~ Best UAV Drone Caribbean Aerials ~ WeBeYachting.com
This video is of beautiful Nelson’s Dockyard Marina ~ English Harbour Antigua West Indies.
Nelson’s Dockyard is a cultural heritage site and marina in English Harbour, Antigua. It is part of Nelson's Dockyard National Park, which also contains Clarence House and Shirley Heights. Named after Admiral Horatio Nelson, who lived in the Dockyard from 1784 through 1787, Nelson's Dockyard is home to some of Antigua's sailing and yachting events such as Antigua Sailing Week and the Antigua Charter Yacht Meeting.English Harbour quickly became a focal point for the establishment of a naval base in Antigua. Its position on the south side of the island meant it was well positioned to monitor the neighboring French island of Guadeloupe. Additionally, the harbour is naturally well-suited to protect ships and cargo from hurricanes. In 1671 the first recorded ship to enter English Harbour was a yacht, the “Dover Castle.” It was chartered to the King by a Colonel Stroude for the use of the Governor of the Leeward Islands when he visited the islands under his jurisdiction and chased ye pirates.
The first reference to the defence of English Harbour occurs in 1704 when Fort Berkeley was listed as one of the twenty forts established around the coast of Antigua. By 1707 naval ships used English Harbour as a station, but no facilities had yet been built for ship maintenance or repair. By 1723 English Harbour was in regular use by British naval ships and in September of that year the harbour gained a reputation as a safe natural harbour when a hurricane swept ashore 35 ships lying in other ports in Antigua, while the HMS Hector and HMS Winchelsea, both moored in English Harbour, suffered no damage. Soon British naval officers petitioned for the building of repair and maintenance facilities in English Harbour. In 1728 the first Dockyard, St. Helena, was built on the east side of the harbour and consisted of a capstan house for careening ships, a stone storehouse, and three wooden sheds for the storage of careening gear. There were no quarters for dockyard staff or visiting sailors and the seamen themselves conducted all work and repairs on the ships. Naval operations in English Harbour soon outgrew the small original dockyard and plans were made to develop the western side of the harbour with more facilities.
Admiral's Inn (the former Pitch and Tar Store)
Construction of the modern Naval Dockyard began in the 1740s. Enslaved laborers from plantations in the vicinity were sent to work on the dockyard. By 1745 a line of wooden storehouses on the site of the present Copper & Lumber Store Hotel had been built and the reclamation of land to provide adequate wharves had been started. Building continued in the Dockyard between 1755 and 1765, when quarters were built for the Commander-in-Chief on the site of the Officers’ Quarters. Additional storerooms, a kitchen and a shelter for the Commander’s “chaise” were also erected. The first part of the present Saw Pit Shed was constructed, the reclamation of the wharves and their facing with wooden piles was continued, and a stone wall was built to enclose the Dockyard. Between 1773 and 1778 additional construction was undertaken. The boundary walls were extended to their present position; the Guard House, the Porter’s Lodge, the two Mast Houses, the Capstan House, and the first bay of the Canvas, Cordage, and Clothing Store were built; and the first Naval Hospital was built outside the Dockyard. Many of the buildings in the Dockyard today were constructed during a building program undertaken between 1785 and 1794. The Engineer’s Offices and Pitch and Tar Store were built in 1788 and the Dockyard wall was extended to enclose the new building. The wharves were improved and the northern side of the Saw Pit Shed was built in the same year. In 1789 the Copper and Lumber Store was completed and by 1792 the west side of the Canvas, Cordage, and Clothing Store had been completed. The Blacksmith’s Shop also dates from this period. This building program overlaps with Nelson’s tenure in the Dockyard from 1784 to 1787. The Sail Loft was built in 1797 adjacent to the Engineer’s Offices and Tar and Pitch Store. Around 1806 the Pay Master’s Office was built and in 1821 the Officers’ Quarters building was constructed to accommodate the growing numbers of officers who accompanied their ships to the yard. The Naval Officer’s and Clerk’s House was built in 1855 and is now home to the Dockyard Museum.

What does US$4.25m get you in the Caribbean? Blue Escapes by Luxury Locations Real Estate Antigua
What can you get for US$4.25m in Antigua in the heart of the Caribbean? Well to start you can live next door to world famous celebrities!
The Property
This beautiful property on the east coast of Antigua has three bedrooms in the main villa and a separate cottage with one large double bedroom adjacent to the main building. The property is situated on a bluff of three and a half acres, the location has stunning views over the bay. The property has a traditional Italian style with a light an open feel. The main living area has glass patio doors on two sides opening onto a covered patio terrace and alfresco dinning area which then leads onto the pool area.
The master bedroom has a very large window to the front to take advantage of the views as well as side patio door leading to a secluded seating area. There are two further bedrooms in the main property and all bedrooms open to the views to the front or side of the property taking full advantage of the vista across the bay ensuring that occupants always have a spectacular view. The kitchen is to the rear of the property and benefits from a small pantry area. The main property has three bathrooms.
There is ample further space and storage in the main property due to the lower ground floor having three rooms and additional storage areas. These rooms have historically been used for storage and laundry but could be converted to contain an office, cinema or gym.
The property was built approximately thirty years ago and is constructed of solid concrete, the roof is solid concrete but has a layer of tiles for aesthetics as opposed to function. As a result of the strong construction the property has weathered storms with no damage to the building. Due to the elevation of the bluff the property is not at risk of flooding.
Guest Cottage
The guest cottage is newly completed and located adjacent to the main house it is styled with a more modern contemporary Caribbean feel to it. The cottage has one large double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a small walk-in storage area.
Pool
There is a large open terrace opening onto the pool deck which is tiled in an off white coral stone. The pool is an oblong kidney shape with an approximate depth of 1.2m - 1.5m.
Garden
The garden is expansive, totalling three acres, predominantly kept as lawn with a smattering of palm trees this has the affect of maximising the views but providing a Caribbean feel. Due to the size of the garden it would be possible to subdivide the garden or add further buildings to the property. To the side of the main house a path leads down to the solid concrete “L” shaped dock 65ft by 45ft. The dock has a depth of around 15ft, due to the layout the main restriction on boat size would be the draft hence it would be possible to have a vessel as large as 75ft on the dock.
The Location
The property is located on the northern aspect of Non Such Bay on the east coast of Antigua, (Non Such Bay resort is on the opposite shore of the bay). Long Beach is three minutes drive from the house. The land is a bluff with and has 220 degree views over the bay, and it is not surprising to realise that the property was used as a lookout post during the 17th century to protect Antigua against invasions from French controlled Guadeloupe.
The bay itself is a perfect location for those wishing to take advantage of the Caribbean seas, there is a solid concrete dock with a depth of 14ft, the owners can therefore take advantage of the numerous nearby islands of the east coast of Antigua. With clear blue water and gentle onshore breezes this location is great for, sailing, snorkelling and fishing as well as exploring secluded and deserted beaches of Antigua.
Emerald Cove
The property is within the confines of the Emerald Cove development, although the hotel is not operational the development still has the benefit of 24/7 security and very private access.
The property is listed exclusively for sale by Luxury Locations Real Estate Antigua

Tortola BVi January 2019
The Northern coast has the best beaches on the island, including Smuggler's Cove, Long Bay, Cane Garden Bay, Brewer's Bay, Josiah's Bay, and Lambert beach. In addition to beaches, marine activities such as sailing, surfing, scuba diving, kite boarding, and windsurfing are available. Many tourists visit the historic sites and hike in parks. The island is visited regularly by large cruise ships.
Although the British Virgin Islands (BVI) are under the British flag, it uses the US dollar as its official currency due to its proximity to and frequent trade with the US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. The island is home to many offshore companies that do business worldwide. Financial services are a major part of the country's economy.
Local tradition recounts that Christopher Columbus named the island Tórtola, meaning turtle dove in Spanish. In fact, Columbus named the island Santa Ana. Dutch colonists called it Ter Tholen, after a coastal island that is part of the Netherlands. When the British took over, the name evolved to Tortola.

This is why a cruise ship from China couldn't dock in Subic
The Subic tour of cruise ship MV World Dream was canceled due to intense pressure from residents and local leaders for the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) to temporarily stop accepting cruise ships amid the novel coronavirus scare. Full story:
Day 9: Sailing Through a Gale & Finally We Arrive!!! (Ep17)
This is the final DAILY video installment of our 1,500 nautical mile journey south from Hampton, Virginia to Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands. Unfortunately the final night saw us sailing into a Tropical Wave that brought lightning filled squalls, the biggest of which we sailed into right as we arrived near Tortola. We'll have to get through that last storm to reach paradise.
I hope you've enjoyed these clips. We tried to show what it's really like sailing with kids off-shore. It can be tough for everyone involved, but worth it in the end. Please leave a comment and tell us what you thought!

ABOUT US: WE ARE THE SAILING FAMILY!
Welcome aboard. We are a family of five sailing around the world on our dream boat, a performance catamaran named Archer.
Ten years ago, before kids, we sailed a Lagoon 380 named Honeymoon halfway around the world from the East Coast of the US to Sydney, Australia. Along the way we shared our experiences with family and friends via YouTube, and by happenstance created the first sailing channel. But more than anything, we realized what an incredible experience that first trip was and that someday we wanted to do it again, only this time with our kids.
We want to share with them the importance of taking time to be with family. To show them a world outside of the one they grew up in. We want them to appreciate how lucky we are to experience (and to care for) the natural beauty of this world. But mostly we want to spend time with our kids during these formative years and create lasting memories as a family. That's why we are The Sailing Family.
ABOUT EACH OF US:
SETH learned to sail with his family on Lake St. Clair, Michigan when he was 12. Later in life he raced on multiple one-design boats in the San Francisco Bay and in Cape Cod. But the dream of sailing around the world really took hold during a bareboat vacation to the BVIs with his family when he saw other cruisers living and traveling full time aboard their sailboats. All he needed now was a willing partner and co-captain! In 2008, Seth & Elizabeth got married and for their honeymoon they bought a boat, named her Honeymoon and the rest is history!
ELIZABETH was new to sailing when they started off, but she's always loved to travel. 25,000 nautical miles later she is now an accomplished sailor, and despite being prone to seasickness, she values the experiences she can share with her boys.
During their first trip she came up with the idea of Vacay, a resort-wear clothing brand perfect for sailors as all her items are designed to mix-and-match to create multiple looks. 5 items can create up to 15 outfits! It's been so successful that she quit her job at GAP Inc and now works full-time from the boat to build her business. Check out vacaystyle.com and support her if you can.
OUR BOYS were a little reluctant to leave our home in Mill Valley, CA, but now that we are in the groove we plan to keep going. They miss their friends but also appreciate the life experiences they are gaining. Hale loves baseball, Rhys is our Lego engineer and Pierce's nickname is Pierce-Fierce (as we think he's been raised by wolves). They're great kids and best friends, which makes living on a boat with them a true joy.
OUR BOAT is a Ferrari red 2014 Outremer 51 performance cruising catamaran. We chose this boat as it has been specifically designed for the purpose of bluewater sailing. It was designed and built to withstand the stress of sailing multiple times around the world safely and in comfort. It's also a speed demon, which is important when you want to cover large distances of water before the weather changes. Lastly, it's backed by the manufacturer with outstanding customer service and aftermarket support, so we believe she will hold her value well. And, she's nice on the eyes too.
OUR ROUTE has taken us from the Boston/Cape Cod area of the United States down to the Caribbean and then on to the Panama Canal. At the time of posting this we are dealing with a repair in the South Pacific, and in 2020 we hope to be in New Zealand and Southeast Asia. By 2021 we will be in the Med and close to completing our circumnavigation.
THANKS for watching all. Please leave a comment to tell us what you think and let us know if you have questions. And Subscribe!

Princess Cays Cruise Port Guide: Tips and Overview
Princess Cays is a private resort owned by Carnival Corporation that is located on the southern tip of the island of Eleuthera It is a port of call for ships from both Carnival and Princess cruise lines. Ships anchor offshore and complimentary tender boats -- or water shuttles -- transport passengers between the ship and the island.
As your water shuttle approaches Princess Cays, you’ll be able to see several beach areas and building structures on the left side -- or North side -- of the port. You’ll also be able to see beach areas and fewer building structures on the right side -- or South side -- of the port. Although the North side of the port is far more popular, the South side is also worth visiting.

First look: Harvest Caye, the Caribbean's newest cruise destination
Located about a mile off the coast of southern Belize, Harvest Caye is the Caribbean's newest cruise destination.
