After a brief stint as the independent Mar Adentro Resort, the Viceroy organization took over this quirky, aggressively modern resort in 2018 and exponentially upped the marketing and publicity efforts to pull in well-heeled guests from the north. They inherited a white-on-white set of buildings from famed Mexican architect Miguel Angel Aragonés that is perfect for Instagram shots of fashionable millennial women in red bikinis and flowing dresses.

Most Enjoyable Things To Do In Cabo San Lucas
Gone are the days when Cabo San Lucas, the fishing village located right at the tip of Baja California, was not so popular. Today, the village has transformed into one of the most exciting holiday destinations because there are so many places to see and so many activities in Cabo San Lucas to try out. Cabo San Lucas is the perfect weekend getaway for all kinds of travelers, be it adrenaline junkies, adventurists, foodies, hardcore celebrity fans and so on. Both celebrities as well as the common folk visit this village often in order to enjoy a stress-free and rejuvenating vacation! It has something to offer to people of all ages, therefore if you are looking forward to having an incredibly fun and memorable vacation then you should visit this lovely village.
The primary USP of Cabo San Lucas would be its geographical features. This tiny village has a very unique combination of beaches, mountains and even desert! Thus, with such a varied landscape, one can easily guess that there will be plenty to do here and that one can have a good time! The following are some of the most popular activities in Cabo San Lucas that you can engage in when you are visiting the village:
Visiting El Arco to admire Nature
Located at Land's End, i.e. the southernmost tip of the peninsula, El Arco is a natural feature which is part of the Three Friars. If you love nature watch then this one should be on your list of “activities in Cabo San Lucas” to try out. You should visit El Arco on a glass-bottomed panga for the most enjoyable experience. When out in the waters, with the grand Pacific Ocean on one side and the Sea of Cortez on the other, you will be able to spot pelicans and sea lions amongst other flora and fauna.
Surfing at Zippers
If you like water sports then you would love surfing at Zippers, which is located at Mile 17 in Cabo Corridor. This is an extremely good spot for surfing but it is essential to have good surfing skills because this is not the spot for beginners to try out surfing. Zippers attract people from all walks of life to come and surf here. If you are not into surfing or just a beginner then you can enjoy your time by spectating others surfing on the majestic waves here!
Romance with your partner at Lover's Beach
Fancy spending a romantic day with your lover when in Cabo San Lucas? In that case you should take a panga and head to Lover's Beach. This strip of virgin sand beach is aptly named because the view here is extremely romantic. The rocks here resemble gray bread dough as they are very smooth, due to constant washing by waves over the years. Don't forget to pack in some food with you so that you can enjoy the day here. Just bring your partner to this lovely beach and you can leave the rest of the world behind! People also love to sunbathe here.
Exploring a Coral Reef
If you love exploring coral reefs and taking a look at sea life then you should head to Cabo Pulma, which is the National Marine Park here. This Mexican marine park is quite far off from Cabo and it takes up to a day to reach it but it is completely worthwhile! The park is known for its spectacular coral reefs, some of the most impressive ones in this part of the world. You can also try out snorkeling at Los Arbolitos or taking a hike to view quirky rock formations at Las Sirenitas.
Thus, with such a wide range of varied “activities in Cabo San Lucas” to try out, you can rest assured that there wouldn't be a single boring moment around when you are in this village!
Los Cabos Passport Card is a great way to save money on whatever you want to do in Los Cabos area ( Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo).
With offers that are 2 X 1 or savings of 50% off on all the restaurants, activities and tours it gives you the chance to stretch your dollar as far as it can go.

Abbey and Ryan's Wedding film at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica, Los Cabos, Mexico
Abbey has a busy life. Between studying medicine, searching for her perfect residency match and banging out that hard-won medical degree, she met the love of her life, and still found time to plan the celebration of all celebrations in sunny Los Cabos. With her June 14 date locked in and the luxurious Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Resort and Spa confirmed, Abbey and Ryan's Cabo San Lucas showdown was set to be epic, and what unfolded was simply magic.
Abbey knew she was destined to marry Ryan from the moment they met, and her decisiveness extended to her wedding plans too. With the help of Pueblo Bonito's Marisol Villalobos, Abbey decided to kick off the festivities with a seaside welcome party, a chance for guests to mingle, sample the resort's hospitality and revel in Cabo's beauty. Every bit the star of the show in a fashion-forward, cream crop top, high waisted skirt, and showstopping, diamond drop earrings, Abbey arrived on the arm of her groom, and the couple made quick work of becoming the life of the party. In a shout out to Mexican tradition, a mariachi band played upbeat tunes as guests sipped premium cocktails and snapped selfies against the azure blues of the Pacific Ocean. Amid all the chaos, both bride and groom took a few moments to make their toasts, expressing their excitement for the following day's nuptials. The evening was about celebrating love, chance meetings and future vows, all of which had the good vibes flowing and genuine excitement in the air.
Champagne corks popped as the sun rose on D day, and Abby and her bevy of bridesmaids set to work on pre-ceremony preparations. Abbey's color palette centered around nature and neutrals, starting with her girls, who donned Grecian inspired, pastel maxis in true estilo playero. Our bride was radiant in white, and her gown's transparent skirt with delicate lace detail was set to steal the show. Opting for loose curls and an upswept, messy bun with natural makeup, Abbey was every bit the blushing boho bride. Both bride and groom took a few private moments to share sweet love notes pre-ceremony, and after the arrival of Abbey's stunning bouquet, wedding planner extraordinaire Marisol announced go time!
The long-awaited nuptials took place in Pueblo Bonito's quaint courtyard chapel, where white blossoms and whimsical foliage decorated every nook and cranny. Abbey and Ryan's closest family and friends wiped away tears as they witnessed their union in a ceremony that was short, sweet and oh so personal. As resort staff ushered guests towards cocktail hour fun, we and the very talented Sara Richardson stole the happy couple away for a few moments of uninterrupted shooting. As you all know, we love Cabo's light, and the evening's stronger than average winds did nothing to deter from the brilliant afternoon sunset. All in all, this was one bridal portrait session that was sure to put the Cabo in Abbey and Ryan's wedding album.
The celebration was far from over as the sun set over the Pacific, and in homage to the destination the newlyweds had opted for an intimate, toes-in-the-sand reception. A sparkling ceiling of market lights mirrored the stars as guests dined on local cuisine prepared by Pueblo Bonito's award-winning banquet staff. Both Abbey and Ryan's fathers, along with the best man and maid of honor, toasted the newlyweds with funny anecdotes, inspiring advice and more than their fair share of champagne. Ever the trendsetting bride, Abby had chosen a 3 tiered, naked cake, and with the formalities taken care of the happy group packed the dance floor for a night of fun, laughter and friendship.
Congratulations Abbey and Ryan on becoming man and wife, and we wish a very long lifetime of happiness.
Until next time,

Lands End Baja California (Mexico) - In Another Minute (310)
- - Lands End Baja California is the most southern tip of the Peninsula Baja California, Mexico, that separates the Sea of Cortez (aka The Gulf of California) from the Pacific Ocean.
Lands End Baja California is a stretch of granite rocks in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The most famous rock formation is El Arco or The Arch of Cabo San Lucas. The most southern part of Lands End Baja California is a smaller rock jutting out of the sea that is often, as in this video, graced by a sea lion.
Another attraction of Lands End are the two beaches that can only be reached by boat, mainly glass-bottom water taxis. Lovers' Beach is where the water taxi will drop you off and pick you back up. It's also where you can swim and snorkel and look back at Cabo San Lucas and the cruise ships and yachts. Divorce Beach is much larger and has one wicked undertow and crashing waves coming from the Pacific Ocean.
Lands End used to be frequented by pirates like Sir Frances Drake and Thomas Cavendish. There are even still some pirate caves in the rocks that sit directly in the water. It seemed that every rock formation and cave had a name and a fun story that I heard from the water taxi driver that gave us a tour around the tip before dropping us off on the beach. I think it's better to hear them in person told by a local than reading them from me. So I hope you get to go one day.
And if you go spend a few hours on Lovers' Beach and Divorce beach, beware that there is hardly any shade except right at the rocks and only if the sun is at an angle. Of course, as everywhere in Cabo, there are people selling drinks. But I'd advise to bring your own water (and beer), a hat and lots of sun screen.

I'd like to leave you with a quote from The Log from the Sea of Cortez by John Steinbeck (which I found on a post by Expeditions.com): “The tip of the Cape at San Lucas, with the huge gray Friars standing up on the end, has behind the rocks a little beach which is a small boy’s dream of pirates. It seems the perfect place to hide and from which to dart out in a pinnacle on the shipping of the world; a place to which to bring the gold bars and jewels and beautiful ladies, all of which are invariably carried by the shipping of the world. And this little beach must have so appealed to earlier men, for the names of the pirates are still in the rock, and the pirate ships did dart out of here and did come back.”

Hannah and Gavin's Wedding Film at Acre Baja, Los Cabos, Mexico
The fabulous, farm to table Acre Baja is fast becoming one of Los Cabos’ hottest destination wedding locations, and as with all hot spots, it’s sometimes easy for the location to overshadow the event. This was NOT the case when it came to Hannah and Gavin’s April's wedding bash, which incorporated all things fashionable and up-to-the-minute with sweet, personal touches and quirky details that made it very much about our happy couple. Welcome to what we call the wonderful world of Hannah and Gavin.
Hannah has a movie star smile, so let’s start there. Her dress of choice was right off the pages of a Style Me Pretty blog, incorporating all of this season’s boho beautiful design trends into one stunning, white crocheted number with flared sleeves, an exposed back and lots of lace and tassels. Along with her Cathedral length veil, the ensemble was ethereal, perfectly complemented by her relaxed blond waves and barely-there makeup. Backed up by her best girls in shades of peach and orange, Hannah opted for a loose arrangement of tropical leaves and white blooms by Flowers and Events Los Cabos and looked just the right balance of silver screen glam and Baja beach bride. Gavin and his boys went formal in black bow ties, and guests put on their Sunday best in honor of the long-awaited moment.
We love wedding ceremonies, and Gavin and Hannah decided to say “I do” to the sweet melody of the guitar, amongst wildflowers and palm trees, on Acre’s lawn terrace. While we adored the sweet anecdotes, traditional marriage rituals and, of course, the first kiss, it was the look on Gavin’s face as he watched his bride make her entrance that we were ecstatic to capture on camera. Part joy, part awe and a whole lot of love, it was clear Gavin was exactly where he wanted to be. With the formalities taken care of, wedding planner Paola from Cabo in Love guided guests through to what was to be one hell of a party.
Hannah and Gavin consider themselves dance partners for life, and dance they did! To accompany their mouthwatering appetizers and sunset cocktails by the pool, they opted to tip their hats to local tradition, allowing the Mariachi to take care of the tunes. As we moved through to Acre’s Mango Orchard for dinner and dancing, Pura Vida beat took over the stage. Guests were wined and dined on some of Cabo’s freshest food and finest cocktails, before kicking off their shoes and hitting the dancefloor. As the sun set over the desert skyline, our bride and groom relished every moment with their closest family and friends, and we were lucky enough to be entrusted with the memories.
Now for the shoutouts! Proving time and time again just how refined their tastes really are, Hannah and Gavin chose the hugely talented photography duo Chris and Ruth to capture their special day. A very big thank you to Jessica and her team at Acre Baja for their tireless work and dedication. We had a blast!

The two weeks leading up to Brooke and Russ' wedding I'm pretty sure we were all checking the weather like crazy. They were planning a ceremony in the woods, and the forecast was calling for thunderstorms all day. But the skies parted, and these two were blessed with an absolutely perfect day for an outdoor wedding (those are hard to come by during storm season in Oklahoma). We love the cute story of how they met, and how the fun and relaxed nature of their relationship came through in their laid back, intimate wedding day.

Beth and Michael's Wedding Film at Chileno Bay, Auberge, Resort, Los Cabos
Every now and again, we are invited to shoot a celebration that knocks our socks off, one that defies all cliches and throws regularity to the wind. Beth and Michael's 3-day wedding extravaganza this past May 16/17/18, 2019 did exactly that, incorporating a trifecta of Cabo's trendiest locations and a host of our most sought after local talent, all intricately spun together by love, friendship, and good, old-fashioned attention to detail. Along with wedding coordinator Claudia Morales and Event Designer Elena Damy, Beth and Michael showed us just what it means to celebrate love in Los Cabos.
Our weekend kicked off at the illustrious Casa Delfin, a luxury villa with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. Guests were invited to relax, mingle and witness one of Cabo's stunning sunsets, as they sipped signature cocktails and dined on scrumptious morsels from local caterer Salt and Sugar Co. The casual cocktail mixer jump-started the weekend's festivities, and the heady anticipation was only heightened by the following evening's rehearsal dinner at Querencia, an exclusive golfing and residential community that is fast making its mark on the Cabo event scene. Beth was all about the boho vibes in a lacy cocktail number with long floating sleeves, while Michael looked every bit the fun-loving groom-to-be in bright, tropical florals. Showcasing two of our destination's most sought after event venues and treating guests to first-class food and cocktails had set the bar high, and expectations were electric as the sun set on Beth and Michael's last evening as soon-to-be newlyweds.
Fast forward to Saturday's pre-wedding preparations, and yet another Cabo hotspot was being whipped into shape to host the long-awaited nuptials. Chileno Bay clubhouse is located just outside of San Jose del Cabo, nestled on the shores of the breath-taking Sea of Cortez and a home-away-from-home to some of our favorite international celebrities. Local hair and makeup artist Suzanne Morel and her team of experts were on site early to create Beth's gorgeous wedding look. Her flawless complexion, rosy makeup, and windswept hair complemented her flowing, princess cut skirt with an embellished bodice, and her sparkly, diamond-studded hairpiece was the icing on the cake. The look was part ballroom glamour part whimsical fairy princess. Put simply, just perfect! Michael stepped things up a notch in a dusty pink linen suit and eye-catching bow tie, while the bridal party brought their A game in flowing, floral maxi dresses and dashes of Michael's signature pink.
Beth's walk down the aisle was one we are eternally grateful to have captured. It wasn't just the stunning location, the sweet classical soundtrack (thanks Cabo Strings!) or the beautiful gown, but the look of pure joy that came across Michael's face as his bride made her entrance. The happy tears flowed among bridal party and guests alike as local minister Gabriel Ruiz delivered a heartfelt ceremony against a stunning backdrop of creamy white florals, towering palm trees and the glistening blues of the Sea of Cortez. What followed was a whirlwind of excitement and celebration. Chileno's award-winning chefs lavished guests with a cocktail menu full of bite-sized delights, before serving a meal inspired by fresh, local produce. Age was no hindrance to packing the dance floor as the young and young at heart got down, drink in hand, to Smart Music's energetic playlist.
A big thank you to the very talented photographer Sami Strong.
Beth and Michael - your wedding was all about the good vibes, and thank you both for allowing us to share it with you.
Until next time.

Peter & Meghan's first dance & cake cut
Peter Huff & Meghan Ryan dance their first dance at their wedding reception, April 4 2009 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Then they go right over and cut the wedding cake.
Andrea and Grady´s Wedding Film at The Cape a Thompson Hotel
Andrea and Grady are living proof that a 12 year age gap is no obstacle when it comes to true love. The down-to-earth couple celebrated their union at The Cape, A Thompson Hotel in Cabo San Lucas this past June, inviting a select bunch of new and old friends to share in their happiness. What resulted was a destination wedding weekend filled with sand, surf and sunshine on the shores of the Sea of Cortez. We were lucky enough to witness their I dos, and hope you enjoy watching their wedding film just as much as we enjoyed creating it.
As wedding day energy bubbled to a fever pitch, Andrea and hair and makeup artist Olga Bustos of Los Cabos Makeup dove headfirst into pre-ceremony preparations. The gorgeous Andrea opted for natural makeup and a classic, half up half down do to compliment her jaw-dropping, Cathedral length veil and Princess cut gown, not to mention the sparkling showstopper on her ring finger! The creative team at Florenta Design delivered a Pinterest worthy bouquet of cottage garden-inspired florals in muted tones and whimsical foliage, while our Groom, on the other side of paradise, chose snazzy blue, crisp white and tan to complete his look. Spirits were high as the champagne corks flew, and before long it was go time.
What better place to vow to love one another forever than overlooking the sparkling Sea of Cortez, a panorama which needs little to no adornment. Along with wedding planner Gaby Cobian of Vivid Occasions, Andrea chose to keep her ceremony setup simple, opting for a geometric style, hexagonal altar adorned with bohemian inspired florals and foliage, which framed the ocean’s natural beauty and delivered a panorama worthy of a magazine spread. After a touching first look on The Cape’s impressive lobby staircase, Andrea and Grady exchanged vows in a sweet symbolic ceremony conducted by a family friend, and then it was time to party.
Vivid Occasions and Florenta Design kept on delivering as we moved through to our reception space, as the perfectly over-the-top Imperial tables embellished with an abundance of backyard florals, delicious accents of ripe seasonal fruit and billowing chiffon runners stole the show. Andrea made a statement dress change, donning a short and sparkly, 1920s inspired number before her first dance. Guests mingled, dined on The Cape’s famously fresh, local produce and sipped cocktails throughout the balmy evening, before an explosive fireworks display and packed dance floor (thank you DJ Mijares!) had them on their feet. This was a group who had traveled to paradise to celebrate love, and they did just that, Cabo style!
A special thanks to the team at The Cape, whose amazing service makes our job all that much easier, as well as photographer Julieta Amezcua and second shooter Allan Carrazco. Thank you Andrea and Grady for choosing us, and congratulations on becoming Mr and Mrs!
