I had so much fun with my dad, and it was great to see him push himself a little out of his comfort zone. We couldn't have gotten any luckier with the weather.

Whistler is a place of development, luxury and world records. The origin of the name Whistler is from a story. People who came to work around the area up on the mountains, always heard some weird sounds like whistling sound....and so they soon discovered, that the sound is coming from an animal, Marmot, whom they gave the nickname Whistler. And then the name stayed also for the town.
Whistler is well developed in terms of infrastructure, buildings and resorts. There is also extensive range of walking trails around the area. From easy to very hard. We took the easy one, towards and around Lost Lake. It was nice although rainy day for such a walk.
In this video, there are snippets from our trip up to Whistler Mountain and then onward to the Blackcomb mountain on another gondola and further still on a chairlift, towards the 7th heaven. :)
What a magical experience. Highly recommend it if you ever happen to come to Whistler.
