48 Hours in Whistler, Canada
Australian travel blogger Michael Turtle visits Whistler for 48 hours and shows all the cool things you can pack into four days. We think you should stay longer, but if you only have two days you can still have a good time!
Vancouver Vacation Travel Guide | Expedia
Vancouver – a city regularly voted “the World’s most livable”. With breezes that carry the scents of nature and aromas of all the urban delights you’d expect from a city, it’s easy to understand why visitors flock to this Canadian city.
When ready, browse vacation packages to Vancouver:
#Explore the early history of #Vancouver at Waterfront Station, the western terminus of the Canadian Pacific Railway. On your #vacation, experience the interweaving of cultures in Chinatown, where the fusing of Oriental flavors with local seafood has helped earn the city the title, “the Culinary Capital of Canada.”
After visiting Vancouver’s central highlights, ride the ferry to Granville Island. From Granville Island, head to Queen Elizabeth Park on Little Mountain, a peaceful oasis high above the city.
When it’s time to answer the call of the wild, cross the Lions Gate Bridge to The North Shore, a wilderness where bears roam and salmon-filled rivers flow through old-growth forests.
Less than a two-hour drive from the city is Whistler Blackcomb Resort, the largest ski resort in North America. The beautifully connected runs here cater to all skill levels and attract elite skiers and beginners from all over the globe.
For now, we hope you enjoy watching this #travel #guide as much as we enjoyed making it.

Whistler, BC - The #BCAdventureProject
In 2010, the world was introduced to the natural beauty inherent to British Columbia. The cascading slopes of Whistler Blackcomb played host to a variety of Olympic events and continue to attract visitors from across the globe.
Resting just 125 kms north of Vancouver, Whistler is every alpine enthusiasts dream. The two full mountain ranges provide an unparalleled stretch of skiable terrain and a bevy of other outlets for your next outdoor adventure.
The Mountain
Whistler Blackcomb is the largest ski resort in North America. This means that we could spend an entire season on the slopes and still not have them conquered. The endless terrain is serviced by 37 lifts that carry you up the mountains and into the sky. The twin summits are connected by the majestic Peak2Peak Gondola. The view from up there showcases the majesty of the entire area.
The Apres
The après-ski is a culture unto its own in the Whistler village. When the sun goes down, the village comes alive. The locals offer an array of culinary options, and an ambiance to host a broad spectrum of tastes. Sometimes, we feel like cozying up to a warm fire to relive the magic of the day, and other times, we feel like paying homage to Bacchus on the dance floor in one of the village’s electric nightclubs.
Beyond the Boots
Even if skiing isn’t your thing, Whistler is still the place to get your adrenaline fix. Whistler offers everything from snowmobiling to zip lining. We all remember Jon Montgomery’s celebratory pitcher at the base of the skeleton track, otherwise known as the most Canadian moment ever. Having the chance to slide down this terrifying gauntlet gave us a new appreciation for this moment, and the chance to feel like a champion for the day.
The #BCAdventureProject is fueled by Vancouver video production company Moves Media and powered by the following partners:
Whistler Blackcomb – North Americas Largest Ski Resort
Tourism Whistler – Stay longer and save more with Stay & Ski Packages
Comor Sports – BC’s best ski, snowboard, and bike shops
SnowBus – Love the Ride

A day in WHISTLER, BRITISH COLUMBIA!
We had the best time spending a weekend in Whistler, British Columbia Canada last month! Here are a few of our favorite moments from a day spent at the lake. More photos and stories from our trip on my blog,
Road to 150: Best Things To Do In British Columbia
In this video, we share some of the best things to do in British Columbia, including Vancouver Island, Vancouver, Kelowna, and more!
Welcome to British Columbia!
Canada's westernmost province is packed with jaw-dropping scenery and incredible adventures. Home to some of Canada's most varied landscapes, ranging from desert and ocean to mountains and forest, there truly is something for everyone in British Columbia.
We explored the BC from Sept 6 - Sept 28, 2017.
Canada's Road to 150 is a 150-day Canada-wide multi-media road trip celebrating Canada's 150th birthday by exploring the uniqueness of this country provincially and collectively while answering the question; What makes Canada special?
We drove to and through every driveable province and territory, showcasing Canada's natural beauty and regional attractions while interviewing Canadians of all cultures and backgrounds, including local celebrities, immigrants, refugees, and everyday rural and urban Canadians. Our aim is to dig deep into what makes Canada such an incredibly inspiring country while showing off the best of Canada's tourism to Canadians and to the world.
**
Special Note: We just released the Canada Saver Card, a physical discount card that gets you discounts at a variety of attractions, adventures, and activities across Canada! From helicopter tours to rafting, fishing, museums, and horseback rides, save money on all of them for less than $30! -

STANTLEY PARK TOUR IN VANCOUVER , TOTEM POLES | TRAVEL WITH MALAVIKA KARTHIK
Stanley Park is a 405-hectare park that borders downtown Vancouver. The park has a vast history and is one of the first areas visitors come to explore in the city. In 1886, the land was named Vancouver’s first park after Lord Stanley, the recently-appointed Governor General. Unlike other urban parks, Stanley Park is not the creation of a landscape architect, but rather the evolution of a forest and urban space over many years.
