Canada Olympic Park, Calgary, Alberta
WinSport's Canada Olympic Park (COP) (formerly known as Paskapoo Ski Hill) is a ski hill and multi-purpose training and competition facility located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and is owned and operated by WinSport. It is currently used both for high performance athletic training and for recreational purposes by the general public. Canada Olympic Park was one of the venues for the 1988 Winter Olympics, being the primary venue for ski jumping, bobsleigh, and luge.

Happy New Year everyone and welcome to the first WinSport Weekly Report of 2014. This report for Monday January 6th is brought to you by Under Armour
We had a great Christmas break and the hill has been so busy. The x-country trails, halfpipe and terrain park are fully operational after hosting an awesome Freestyle Ski World Cup this past weekend.
There will be some more action at the park with the 1st of 5 Alberta Snowboard Association style series happening at C.O.P. from January 10th to 12th. There is a grom jam for riders 12 and under, a halfpipe FIS and open category and a slopetyle fis and open category you can get more information or register online at albertasnowboarding.com.
Also happening this week from the 8th to the 12th up at the Canmore Nordic Centre is the Haywood Noram and Buff Sprints Olympic trials. This is going to be really exciting, we are only a month away from the opening cermonies of the 2014 Winter Olympics. There are only 4 spots open for the Olympics now and there are about 4 or 5 skiers in each gender that could make earn the right to represent Canada and the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi Russia. Calgary 2014 | Hi-Standard Series | VANS
The Vans Hi-Standard series in collaboration with Snowboard Canada hit Calgary's Canada Olympic Park for its second stop to give away over $3500 in cash prize and give everyone the chance to show off their best style on the snow. With Canadian legend, Dennis Bannock on the mic and Vans pro Benji Ritchi in tow doling out the bills to worthy shreds, the mood was light to begin with, and when Kael Hill showed up out of the woodwork with a rented board to collect some cash, it only got lighter. Felix Conner took home $200 for the Van Doren best Rail Trick (under 15) and Kael took $300 for the 16 and over.
