The Woody Point Heritage Theatre is one of many historic buildings in Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland and Labrador. Formerly the Lord Nelson Orange Lodge, it is over a hundred years old.

Writers at Woody Point 2011
The Writers at Woody Point literary festival in Woody Point, Bonne Bay, Newfoundland had its inaugural season in 2004. The festival is organized and presented by Friends of Writers at Woody Point and, each year, has played to sold-out audiences. The event is hosted by CBC Radio's Shelagh Rogers, host of The Next Chapter a show about Canadian writing and writers.
The lovely and historic western Newfoundland village of Woody Point, on the south shore of Bonne Bay, is surrounded by the breathtaking landscape of Gros Morne National Park. Writers, artists and scientists are drawn here from around the world.

Meet Charlie from Woody Point, Newfoundland and Labrador
Charlie Payne is a man of many talents who lives in the cultural capital of Gros Morne National Park -- Woody Point. This accomplished musician and artist owns and operates a folk art shop called The Hunky Dory. His creativity, ingenuity, and devotion to Newfoundland and Labrador culture and heritage is something to behold.
Charlie is just one example of the type of friendly and passionate people visitors will meet when travelling in Newfoundland and Labrador.
