Vintage Penny Arcade - Arreton Barns 2017
Arreton has had these machines for a while, this one specifically is adapted for the modern payment rather than the old pennies. The arcade has a selection of penny machines dating back to the turn of the 20th century, to the 1970s. There were other machines that took the old pennies in the maritime museum, they were sold off in late 2013 after new management of the museum wanted to expand it so it used up all except the space for the gift shop area. Some of them were relocated to the pub and the other arcade you see now, adapted to take the modern 10p.
Here are the ones played here:
The Bullion
Heaven and Hell
Test your Grip
Elevenses
Shake with Uncle Sam
Pussy Shooter
The Clock
Jolly Jack/Laughing Sailor
The American Execution
The English Execution
Steer-a-ball

Merrivale Old Penny Amusement Arcade Museum Tour
Hi, and welcome to Big Dave's Shed.
Miss the seaside arcades of yesteryear? me too, so I took a trip to the Merrivale Model Village in Great Yarmouth, to visit their Old Penny Arcade Museum. The main area has lots of classic penny pushers, one armed bandits, betting machines and more. Most of these are 2p play, and instead of tickets, you win good old fashioned cash! ...albeit in 2p coins. Alongside this is the Old Penny Arcade museum, where you'll find many vintage machines from a bygone era, that have all been restored, so they can be played and enjoyed.
To play these games, you'll need some old pennies, which you can get from the change machine. Insert £1 for 12 old pennies.
Enjoy this video? if so, why not subscribe.

I always enjoy a visit to the Arcade especially when it's on a pier ! This video was taken on Southport pier 30th June 2015.
The Horror of Jolly Jack
Well after leaving Jolly Jack at Southport earlier on in the year,I thought I was safe. But he had teleported his infernal box of horror to Carters' Steam fair and made me put a coin in using mind control, and I knew it was him even though he'd tried to disguise himself with a full face of make up.

Video Game Arcade Tours - Manning's Amusement Park (Felixstowe, UK)
I was pleasantly surprised by this arcade to be honest. They have invested in newer games (Luigi's Mansion for example), while using large amounts of floor space on Bowlingo (mini bowling) and Cody's Cabin (Mechanical shooter).
Their music games consist of Percussion Master and Dancing Stage Euromix 1. Haven't seen a Percussion Master since Trocadero closed their upstairs area in London a few years back. Dancing Stage Euromix 1 is better than no dance game by a long shot, but it would be nice to see something with more than 16 songs, like Dance Dance Revolution Extreme which has 240 songs, or even Euromix 2 at a pinch!
That being said, lots of video games and they haven't sold out on redemption. Felixstowe has good arcades and knows the value of a video game!

Many of the arcades in the UK (Mainly seaside arcades) are called Amusement Arcades. They are typically packed with redemption-based machines with very few video games (As video games simply do not make money). I have placed the word Amusements in the title for these types of places as they are not true Video Game Arcades, but deserve some sort of mention. As gambling is legal in the UK, they tend to include fruit machines (aka slot machines) and various other things money-making games, so video games really take a back seat in places like these. They also really hate filming, I'm not sure why because it's free advertising, unless dodgy things are taking place lol
An amusement arcade (often referred to as video arcade or simply arcade) is a venue where people play arcade games such as video games, pinball machines, electro-mechanical games, redemption games, merchandisers (such as claw cranes), or coin-operated billiards or air hockey tables. In some countries, some types of arcades are also legally permitted to provide gambling machines such as slot machines or pachinko machines. Games are usually housed in cabinets. The term used for ancestors of these venues in the beginning of the 20th century was penny arcades.Video games were introduced in amusement arcades in the late 1970s and were most popular during the golden age of arcade video games, the early 1980s. Arcades became popular with children and particularly adolescents, which led parents to be concerned that video game playing might cause them to skip school.

The Glittering Magical Mirror Maze! Wookey Hole
The crazy magical distorting mirrors are as popular as ever and still raise a giggle from passing crowds!
The Magical Mirror Maze is a modern version of the old mirror show that occasionally accompanied travelling fairs. Over forty mirrors, each eight feet high
are set at precise 60° angles.
This creates the impression of a huge colourfully-vaulted crypt.
The many twists and turns appear to be long straight passages going in all directions - until you try to walk along one!
Some are trick mirrors allowing fleeting glimpses of a wizard, who was trapped over a thousand years ago by the evil Wookey witch.Lose Yourself in the Glittering Magical Mirror Maze!
