Prague Castle, Beer Tour and WWII Museum in Czech Republic
Our 3rd and last day in Prague. We went to Cafe Savoy for one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. After breakfast we headed to the Prague Castle with a quick stop at the John Lennon wall. The Prague Castle was huge and had so much to see it was hard to fit it all in. We then left for another Sandeman's tour this time a beer tour where we learned about Czech beer types and local restaurants that serve them. While on the beer tour we meet a lot of great people from all over the world. The Sandeman's tours were really great and highly recommend. Just make sure to tip!

Tour of Prague, Czech Republic
This is a remix in YouTube's new widescreen, high quality format of my 2007 Tour of Prague video. The banks of the Vltava River in what is now Prague were settled by Slavs in the 5th and 6th centuries. In 1324, Prague became the Imperial residence of Charles IV, Holy Roman Emperor. His reign from 1346 to 1378 was an era of prosperity for the city, marked by the construction of the Charles Bridge. Between 1526 and 1913 the city was under the control of the Habsberg Empire. With the 1918 end of the World War I, Czechoslovakia became an independent republic with Praque as its capital. In 1938, a large part of the country was annexed to Nazi Germany. After World War II, the Communist party came to power with the country dominated by the Soviet Union. The Velvet Revolution began in November, 1989. The citizens of Prague revolted peacefully, electing the poet Vaclev Havel as president. In 1993, Czechoslovakia was divided into two countries (Czech and Slovak Republics) and Praque became the capital of an independent Czech Republic. The music on this clip comes from Mozart's Violin Concerto #5.
Prague - City of a Hundred Spires
Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It attracts 6.2-million visitors each year and is the fifth most visited city in Europe. This video takes you to the Prague Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral, The Charles Bridge and Old Town Prague. The city was spared destruction in World War II and looks much as it did hundreds of years ago.
