The Electric Picture House is a 100 seat modern digital cinema providing a service to a wide cross-section of the community in Wotton Under Edge. Jeff talks about the process of refurbishing and re-opening the cinema after its closure in 2002, and about the lottery funding they received from South West Screen which helped them to develop and increase their audience.

Wotton-under-Edge
Wotton-under-Edge is a market town within the Stroud district of Gloucestershire, England. Located near the southern end of the Cotswolds, the Cotswold Way long-distance footpath passes through the town. Standing on the B4058 Wotton is about 5 miles from the M5 motorway. The nearest railway station is Cam and Dursley, 7 miles away by road, on the Bristol to Birmingham line.

Nestling on the western slopes of the Cotswolds, in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it has a rich history.
Produced with help from the local Heritage Centre, you will enjoy the story of Wotton from its earliest mention in a 10th century Saxon Royal Charter to the present day.
Your tour starts at The Chipping, where the first market was established in 1252. It progresses through Market Street, taking in the Town Hall, some quaint old pubs and hotels, and the Tolsey Clock, towards the main thoroughfare of High Street and Long Street. You will enjoy reminiscences of old shops, such as Harry Morley's Hardware Store.

The Investigation
The sleepy town of Wotton-under-Edge is not used to serious crime, however recently it has been thrown out of its peaceful way of life by a serious crime. Mrs Jones has been murdered and it is up to the Inspector of the Wotton-under-Edge police constabulary to find out whodunnit.
