A remote control drone with a minuscule quantity of radioactive material was found on the roof of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s office on Wednesday, Reuters reported.
The drone was marked with a radioactive sign and was carrying a camera and a water bottle.
When an employee found it, at around 10:30 a.m., he covered it with a cardboard box. Police and security officials arrived at the scene and covered it under a blue tarpaulin. The drone was eventually carried away inside a box.
The levels of radioactive cesium that emanated from the drone were found to be too low to cause real harm to humans. The contents of the water bottle have not been revealed.
A police investigation is now underway.
According to RT, a possible explanation could be found in the Japanese government decision to reopen nuclear facilities, which after the 2011 Fukushima disaster sparked disapproval among many citizens.
On Wednesday a Japanese court approved the restart of a nuclear power station in the southwest of the country.
In Japan, unlike other countries, there are no regulations on flying drones, and various models of drones are widely available in shops across the country.

STORYLINE
In a last dash of diplomacy, President George W. Bush sought China's help on Friday in pinning down North Korea to keep its shaky promises of nuclear disarmament.
Bush and Chinese President Hu Jintao privately tried to push along a way to verify North Korea's nuclear declarations - the latest hang-up in a showdown that has vexed six nations.
Friday's meeting came on the sidelines of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation forum in Peru as Bush began his last scheduled foreign journey as US President.
North Korea has agreed to give up its nuclear weapons in exchange for coveted aid and diplomatic recognition, a deal arranged with the US, China, Russia, Japan and South Korea. But it has not fully allowed outside inspectors, and talks have repeatedly gone off course.
Bush wants to emerge from the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum, also known as APEC, with firm plans for the six countries to meet in Beijing, perhaps in early December.
The goal would be to formally agree on the way to verify North Korea's nuclear capabilities.
Both leaders also faced mounting pressure on Friday to use the summit to stop the spread of the financial crisis and resuscitate moribund free-trade talks.
At the top of the agenda for the 21 leaders of the APEC forum was pushing forward a declaration drafted at the Group of 20 summit last weekend in Washington and working to prevent new barriers to trade.
Nine of APEC's 21 members were at the Washington summit, and the leaders and economists in Lima warned against a retreat to protectionism, saying it would only deepen the turmoil.
Speaking at the APEC CEO summit on Friday Hu said the full effect of the global financial crisis was now becoming more and more evident.
The APEC leaders also were expected to commit to wrapping up the broad outlines of a free-trade agreement by the end of December. The World Trade Organisation talks were launched seven years ago in hopes of reducing trade barriers globally, but negotiations hit a snag in July.
However, some fear leaders will be unwilling to hold serious talks until US President-elect Barack Obama takes office in January.
Obama will not have representatives present in Peru.

SUMMARY
=======
Strategic bombing during World War II was the sustained aerial attack on railways, harbours, cities, workers' and civilian housing, and industrial districts in enemy territory during World War II. Strategic bombing is a military strategy which is distinct from both close air support of ground forces and tactical air power.During World War II, it was believed by many military strategists of air power that major victories could be won by attacking industrial and political infrastructure, rather than purely military targets. Strategic bombing often involved bombing areas inhabited by civilians and some campaigns were deliberately designed to target civilian populations in order to terrorize and disrupt their usual activities. International law at the outset of World War II did not specifically forbid aerial bombardment of cities despite the prior occurrence of such bombing during World War I, the Spanish Civil War, and the Second Sino-Japanese War.
Strategic bombing during World War II began on 1 September 1939 when Germany invaded Poland and the Luftwaffe (German Air Force) began bombing cities and the civilian population in Poland in an indiscriminate aerial bombardment campaign. As the war continued to expand, bombing by both the Axis and the Allies increased significantly. The Royal Air Force began bombing Germany in March 1940. In September 1940, the Luftwaffe began targeting British cities in 'The Blitz'. After the beginning of Operation Barbarossa in June 1941, the Luftwaffe attacked Soviet cities and infrastructure. From 1942 onward, the British bombing campaign against Germany became less restrictive and increasingly targeted industrial sites and eventually, civilian areas. When the United States began flying bombing missions against Germany, it reinforced these efforts and controversial firebombings were carried out against Hamburg (1943), Dresden (1945), and other German cities. In the Pacific War, the Japanese bombed civilian populations throughout the war (e.g. in Chongqing). The US air raids on Japan began in earnest in October 1944 and by March 1945 had started their escalation into widespread firebombing, which culminated in the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on 6 and 9 August 1945, respectively.
The effect of strategic bombing was highly debated during and after the war. Both the Luftwaffe and RAF failed to deliver a knockout blow by destroying enemy morale. However some argued that strategic bombing of non-military targets could significantly reduce enemy industrial capacity and production and in the opinion of its interwar period proponents, the surrender of Japan vindicated strategic bombing.

MPs Threaten To Disband CIC Following The Rejection Of Monica Juma
Interior cabinet secretary Joseph Nkaissery has come to the defence of embattled former principal secretary ambassador Dr Monica Juma whose fate in government remains unclear after MPs rejected her nomination this week.
Nkaissery said that Dr Juma's contentious letter to parliament was not an individual decision but a collective agreement within his interior ministry.
Nkaissery has urged President Kenyatta to reinstate Dr Juma's nomination and return her name back to Parliament.
Dr Juma's rejection has also opened a new battle front between MPs and the constitutional implementation commission.
