BEST OF CALIFORNIA | The Adventures
We thought we would share our top three adventures from our time road tripping down the coast of California while living the van life. From exploring massive kelp forests with playful sea lions in the Pacific Ocean, ziplining over the driest desert in North America, to soaring 800ft over the ocean under a parachute. These are our most adrenaline filled adventures we had in our 43 days exploring the sunny State of California!

Navitat Canopy Tour of Wrightwood, CA: A Bird's-Eye Review
Canopy tours make most people think of remote jungle destinations like Puerto Rico or Costa Rica, but believe it or not, Los Angeles has one right in its backyard. Wrightwood, CA is about a 90-minute drive from Los Angeles and is one of the premier resort towns for California skiers and snowboarders. Now, thanks to Navitat Canopy Adventures, it's also a great summer destination.

ZIPLINING in San Gabriel, CA
Hey y'all,
Just a quick video edit of my experience ziplining while with a GoPro strapped to my helmet. I was 100% shook, but an experience nonetheless. It was super fun and it really opened up a new thrill.
No footage of my vacation out in the sunny state of California, but I promise it was an amazing time.

2015-0507-1707 - PCT Mile 369.4
We decided to take an extra Zero day in Wrightwood. Freezing rain, hail, snow and high winds - all in town (1,500' lower than where we'd be hiking) - were reasons enough to enjoy the warmth of a cabin.

Trekaroo - Navitat Canopy Adventures, Wrightwood, CA
After our second practice zipline, I feared that I had made a big mistake.
My 11-year-old niece, whom I hand selected to take with me on the Navitat Canopy Tour zipline, was paralyzed with fear. Instead of zipping behind me in her turn, we got a radio over from one of our two guides saying that she needed some encouragement to get across the zip. The rest of our group hollered and hooped and cheered her on from the tree away from her. And we waited. I felt horrible. And we waited more. I had invited her to do this fun activity, and she was terrified; she wasn't having fun, and I was afraid we would have to leave our tour. Shortly after what seemed a good few minutes of a wait, my sweet little niece finished her second training zip right over to me and stepped down trembling, her face wet with tears. I gave her a giant hug and told her how proud I was, and the rest of the group cheered her success.
We had one more training zip line to go. With a bit more courage and determination, she completed her third and final training zip line with complete success. A slight smile cracked on her face as she began to relax...
