Marau is a municipality in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. It was initially populated by Italian immigrants that were escaping from the war. The city name is based on the brave native chief cacique Marau which fought against the white people to keep the land. He lost the battle in 1840 and it generated a river called Mortandande after the bloody battle. The economy is based on soybeans plantation and pork creation.

    Santa Vitória do Palmar is Brazil's southernmost municipality, located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. To the west of the municipality is the Lagoa Mirim and beyond that is Uruguay; to the east and southeast lies the Atlantic Ocean, and to the north is the city of Rio Grande. To the south it borders the municipality of Chuí and Uruguay.     Itacarezinho Beach is a beach in Itacaré, a municipality in the Brazilian state of Bahia. Despite having a diminutive suffix in Portuguese, Itacarezinho beach is in fact 3.5 km long, and is located 15 km south of Itacaré. The northern section of the beach is also known as Camboinha. The beach is valued for swimming, surfing, and walking. It has many palm trees, a bar, and a restaurant. The beach can be reached by a trail from nearby beaches or by way of a road that leads to Ilhéus, which crosses private property. Access is free for pedestrians, but there is a fee for parking for automobiles. There is a small waterfall which falls from the jungle and lands directly in the sand.
