20 inches at Jay Peak | ReddyYeti Goes East | Episode 6
This week we skied Jay Peak after a 20+ inch storm. Unfortunately, it was extremely windy so we didn't get to ski the whole mountain. We also took a trip to St. Albans VT. to visit the 14th Star Brewing Co. taproom
In this series, the ReddyYeti crew is moving up to VT with the goal of showing the best of the east. We will be going to ski resorts all across the state to give you an idea of what it's like to ski Vermont.

Smells Like A Dave with Dan Sartwell & Andrea Gagner (14th Star) | Beer & Other Shhh Podcast #105
One of the closest towns to the Canadian border, St. Albans, VT certainly doesn't get the love it deserves in the craft beer world. 14th Star are the shining stars (see what we did there?) of the town, growing from humble beginnings as the brainchild of two military veterans to one of the most respected and consistent breweries in one of the most lauded states in beer. We hung out with CEO Andrea and Brewmaster Dan (not Dave) to chat about all things beer in Vermont. Cheers!
Beers Reviewed: 14th Star Oktoberfest; 14th Star Raspberry Vermonter Weiss; 14th Star Follow Me IPA; 14th Star Red Wine Barrel Aged Vermonter Weiss; 14th Star Maple Breakfast Stout; 14th Star Valor Ale.

“We are thrilled by the response to this initiative to recognize these up-and-coming leaders,” said VBM Publisher John Boutin. “We received over 150 outstanding nominations, the most nominations since the program started in 2010. The judges had a difficult time picking the top 40. These young professionals have chosen to make Vermont home. For these young professionals it’s not just about business. It’s about them making a difference in their communities,” Boutin said.
Vermont Business Magazine honored Vermont's most accomplished young leaders at the Rising Stars dinner on November 6. The dinner was held at the DoubleTree Hotel & Conference Center on Williston Rd in South Burlington. The honorees were featured in the November issue of Vermont Business Magazine.

The largest county increase was Chittenden County, up 3 from 2013. The average age of the winners is 33 years old. The oldest is 39 and the youngest is 23 years old.
Judges: Governor Jim Douglas, Anson Tebbetts, News Director, WCAX, Margi Swett, President, Vermont Trophy and Engraving, Linda Rossi, State Director VtSBDC, Joe Doud, Assistant General Manager, Vermont Lake Monsters, Kristin Carlson, Director of Media, Green Mountain Power, Kathleen Murphy-Moriarty, Associate Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Norwich University.
