THIS CENTRAL MASSACHUSETTS TOWN IS THE IMPROBABLE NEXT BATTLEGROUND IN AMERICA'S TOBACCO WARS, WEIGHING A PROPOSAL TO BAN THE SALE OF ALL TOBACCO PRODUCTS.
HOWEVER, THE PLAN BEING CONSIDERED BY WESTMINSTER'S BOARD OF HEALTH IS RUNNING INTO OPPOSITION FROM LOCAL MERCHANTS.
SOUNDBITE: (English) Brian Vincent, Store Owner:
We're suspecting people are gonna make their purchases out of town, and while they are out of town, they're gonna buy gas. And when they go out of town, they're gonna stop for food, they're gonna patronize all other businesses while they're in the other towns, which is gonna force businesses in Westminster to close.
STORE OWNER BRIAN VINCENT, WORRIED ABOUT THE FUTURE, IS COLLECTING SIGNATURES TO STOP THE BOARD OF HEALTH FROM ADOPTING THE PROPOSAL.
THE TOWN APPEARS DIVIDED.
SOUNDBITE: (English) Vicki Tobin, Supports Ban on Cigarette Sales:
I'm cool with it. I think smoking is terrible and, like I said, I have three little boys, I don't it's cool to see them not I'd like to see the time where they grow up with cigarettes aren't a part of their daily life.
SOUNDBITE: (English) Jill Clifford, Opposes Proposed Ban
I don't appreciate this approach. I don't think it's I don't think it's, uhm, going to result in what they want and I also think it is impeding on, uhm, our businesses' freedom to sell things that are legal.

Leominster: Hiking From Mt. Elam Road, to Crow Hills (Westminster, MA)
Due to the very late start of nice weather, the hiking videos started late, as this was recorded June 13, 2015.
We hike from Mt. Elam Road (Notown Reservoir), and do some overlap of a trail, ultimately hitting new territory on our way to Crow Hills in Westminster, next town over.
Wasn't much to see, but it was a great hike.
There is an audio edit, due to a bad joke. We try to keep it proper, but doesn't always happen. One other is borderline, but kept it in.
Either I forgot about holding the camera, or the image stabilization failed at one point, as the floating block went everywhere. It's a short moment, as well as a black dot earlier on.
This is also the 1st hiking video I've uploaded at full 60fps.

SUMMARY
=======
Methodism, also known as the Methodist movement, is a group of historically related denominations of Protestant Christianity which derive their inspiration from the life and teachings of John Wesley. George Whitefield and John's brother Charles Wesley were also significant early leaders in the movement. It originated as a revival movement within the 18th-century Church of England and became a separate denomination after Wesley's death. The movement spread throughout the British Empire, the United States, and beyond because of vigorous missionary work, today claiming approximately 80 million adherents worldwide.Wesley's theology focused on sanctification and the effect of faith on the character of a Christian. Distinguishing Methodist doctrines include the new birth, an assurance of salvation, imparted righteousness, the possibility of perfection in love, the works of piety, and the primacy of Scripture. Most Methodists teach that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died for all of humanity and that salvation is available for all; in theology, this view is known as Arminianism. This teaching rejects the Calvinist position that God has pre-ordained the salvation of a select group of people. However, Whitefield and several other early leaders of the movement were considered Calvinistic Methodists and held to the Calvinist position. Methodism emphasises charity and support for the sick, the poor, and the afflicted through the works of mercy. These ideals are put into practice by the establishment of hospitals, orphanages, soup kitchens, and schools to follow Christ's command to spread the gospel and serve all people.The movement has a wide variety of forms of worship, ranging from high church to low church in liturgical usage. Denominations that descend from the British Methodist tradition are generally less ritualistic, while American Methodism is more so, the United Methodist Church in particular. Methodism is known for its rich musical tradition, and Charles Wesley was instrumental in writing much of the hymnody of the Methodist Church.Early Methodists were drawn from all levels of society, including the aristocracy, but the Methodist preachers took the message to labourers and criminals who tended to be left outside organised religion at that time. In Britain, the Methodist Church had a major effect in the early decades of the developing working class (1760–1820). In the United States, it became the religion of many slaves who later formed black churches in the Methodist tradition.

SUMMARY
=======
Edmund Burke (; 12 January [NS] 1730 – 9 July 1797) was an Irish statesman born in Dublin, as well as an author, orator, political theorist and philosopher, who after moving to London in 1750 served as a member of parliament (MP) between 1766 and 1794 in the House of Commons with the Whig Party.
Burke was a proponent of underpinning virtues with manners in society and of the importance of religious institutions for the moral stability and good of the state. These views were expressed in his A Vindication of Natural Society. Burke criticized British treatment of the American colonies, including through its taxation policies. He also supported the rights of the colonists to resist metropolitan authority, though he opposed the attempt to achieve independence. Burke is remembered for his support for Catholic emancipation, the impeachment of Warren Hastings from the East India Company and for his staunch opposition to the French Revolution. In his Reflections on the Revolution in France, Burke asserted that the revolution was destroying the fabric of good society and traditional institutions of state and society, and condemned the persecution of the Catholic Church that resulted from it. This led to his becoming the leading figure within the conservative faction of the Whig Party, which he dubbed the Old Whigs, as opposed to the pro-French Revolution New Whigs, led by Charles James Fox.In the nineteenth century, Burke was praised by both conservatives and liberals. Subsequently, in the twentieth century he became widely regarded as the philosophical founder of modern conservatism.

SUMMARY
=======

SUMMARY
=======
Joseph Priestley (; 24 March [O.S. 13 March] 1733 – 6 February 1804) was an 18th-century English Separatist theologian, natural philosopher, chemist, innovative grammarian, multi-subject educator, and liberal political theorist who published over 150 works. He has historically been credited with the discovery of oxygen, having isolated it in its gaseous state, although Carl Wilhelm Scheele and Antoine Lavoisier also have strong claims to the discovery.During his lifetime, Priestley's considerable scientific reputation rested on his invention of soda water, his writings on electricity, and his discovery of several airs (gases), the most famous being what Priestley dubbed dephlogisticated air (oxygen). However, Priestley's determination to defend phlogiston theory and to reject what would become the chemical revolution eventually left him isolated within the scientific community.
Priestley's science was integral to his theology, and he consistently tried to fuse Enlightenment rationalism with Christian theism. In his metaphysical texts, Priestley attempted to combine theism, materialism, and determinism, a project that has been called audacious and original. He believed that a proper understanding of the natural world would promote human progress and eventually bring about the Christian millennium. Priestley, who strongly believed in the free and open exchange of ideas, advocated toleration and equal rights for religious Dissenters, which also led him to help found Unitarianism in England. The controversial nature of Priestley's publications, combined with his outspoken support of the French Revolution, aroused public and governmental suspicion; he was eventually forced to flee in 1791, first to London and then to the United States, after a mob burned down his Birmingham home and church. He spent his last ten years in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.
A scholar and teacher throughout his life, Priestley also made significant contributions to pedagogy, including the publication of a seminal work on English grammar and books on history, and he prepared some of the most influential early timelines. These educational writings were among Priestley's most popular works. It was his metaphysical works, however, that had the most lasting influence, being considered primary sources for utilitarianism by philosophers such as Jeremy Bentham, John Stuart Mill, and Herbert Spencer.
