Driving Downtown - Seattle 4K - USA
Driving Downtown - Seattle Washington USA - Season 1 Episode 17.
Starting Point: Pine St .
Seattle is a West Coast seaport city and the seat of King County. With an estimated 662,400 residents as of 2015,[2] Seattle is the largest city in both the state of Washington and the Pacific Northwest region of North America, and, as of July 2013, is the fastest-growing major city in the United States.[6] The Seattle metropolitan area of around 3.6 million inhabitants is the 15th largest metropolitan area in the United States.[7] The city is situated on a narrow isthmus between Puget Sound (an inlet of the Pacific Ocean) and Lake Washington, about 100 miles (160 km) south of the Canada–United States border. A major gateway for trade with Asia, Seattle is the 8th largest port in the United States and 9th largest in North America in terms of container handling.[8]
The Seattle area was previously inhabited by Native Americans for at least 4,000 years before the first permanent European settlers.[9] Arthur A. Denny and his group of travelers, subsequently known as the Denny Party, arrived from Illinois via Portland, Oregon on the schooner Exact at Alki Point on November 13, 1851.[10] The settlement was moved to the eastern shore of Elliott Bay and named Seattle in 1852, after Chief Si'ahl of the local Duwamish and Suquamish tribes.
Logging was Seattle's first major industry, but by the late 19th century the city had become a commercial and shipbuilding center as a gateway to Alaska during the Klondike Gold Rush. By 1910, Seattle was one of the 25 largest cities in the country.[11] However, the Great Depression severely damaged the city's economy. Growth returned during and after World War II, due partially to the local Boeing company, which established Seattle as a center for aircraft manufacturing. The Seattle area developed as a technology center beginning in the 1980s, with companies like Microsoft becoming established in the region. In 1994 the Internet retail giant Amazon was founded in Seattle. The stream of new software, biotechnology, and Internet companies led to an economic revival, which increased the city's population by almost 50,000 between 1990 and 2000.
Seattle has a noteworthy musical history. From 1918 to 1951, there were nearly two dozen jazz nightclubs along Jackson Street, from the current Chinatown/International District, to the Central District. The jazz scene developed the early careers of Ray Charles, Quincy Jones, Ernestine Anderson and others. Seattle is also the birthplace of rock musician Jimi Hendrix and the alternative rock style grunge.[12]

Frolik Kitchen & Cocktails/Seattle's Happy Hour Hot Spot/Yummy Roasted Chicken!
Hi beautiful friends!
Check out my tour of another fun rooftop bar in Seattle called “Frolik”.
I have been telling friends since my visit that this was the place that converted me back to liking “roasted chicken” again. Executive Chef Daniel Cox knocks this one out of the park. You have to give it a try! I also love this spot as a pre-theater happy hour destination being across the street from the 5th Avenue Theater. It’s on the 5th floor of the Motif Hotel right in the heart of Downtown Seattle.
Thanks for watching! xoxo

1945 Garland Movie Theater, in Spokane, WA
1945 the Garland opened its doors to a theater nothing like in on the Pacific coast- not even Los Angeles, at the time. It seated 1000, but now with remodels it now seats 630. It briefly closed in 1960's, and for a short time it featured X-rated movies. It closed 1986-1988, and reopened as the first discount movie theater in Spokane- still is present day. Owners now, remodeled to its old splendor.
Busted by the Sisters at Leavenworth, Washington
We spent the weekend at beautiful Leavenworth, Washington, and took in their famous outdoor theater musical, The Sound of Music. The show is put on every year, but this was our first time seeing it live on stage. It was GREAT! I couldn't get my camera out fast enough to catch the cute song these nuns sang at the beginning, but I ended up getting busted for taping this little part. What fun. I'd go to that show again.

Atlanta is the capital of and the most populous city in the U.S. state of Georgia, with an estimated 2013 population of 447,841.[6] Atlanta is the cultural and economic center of the Atlanta metropolitan area, home to 5,522,942 people and the ninth largest metropolitan area in the United States.[7] Atlanta is the county seat of Fulton County, and a small portion of the city extends eastward into DeKalb County.
Atlanta is considered an alpha- or world city,[17] ranking 36th among world cities and 8th in the nation with a gross domestic product of $270 billion.[18] Atlanta's economy is considered diverse, with dominant sectors including logistics, professional and business services, media operations, and information technology.[19] Topographically, Atlanta is marked by rolling hills and dense tree coverage.[20] Revitalization of Atlanta's neighborhoods, initially spurred by the 1996 Olympics, has intensified in the 21st century, altering the city's demographics, politics, and culture.[21][22]
Tourism
As of 2010, Atlanta is the seventh-most visited city in the United States, with over 35 million visitors per year.[158] Although the most popular attraction among visitors to Atlanta is the Georgia Aquarium,[159] the world's largest indoor aquarium,[160] Atlanta's tourism industry mostly driven by the city's history museums and outdoor attractions. Atlanta contains a notable amount of historical museums and sites, including the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic Site, which includes the preserved childhood home of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., as well as his final resting place; the Atlanta Cyclorama & Civil War Museum, which houses a massive painting and diorama in-the-round, with a rotating central audience platform, depicting the Battle of Atlanta in the Civil War; the World of Coca-Cola, featuring the history of the world famous soft drink brand and its well-known advertising; the College Football Hall of Fame which honors college football and its athletes; the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, which explores the American Civil Rights Movement and its connection to contemporary human rights movements throughout the world; the Carter Center and Presidential Library, housing U.S. President Jimmy Carter's papers and other material relating to the Carter administration and the Carter family's life; and the Margaret Mitchell House and Museum, site of the writing of the best-selling novel Gone with the Wind.
Atlanta also contains various outdoor attractions.[161] The Atlanta Botanical Garden, adjacent to Piedmont Park, is home to the 600-foot-long (180 m) Kendeda Canopy Walk, a skywalk that allows visitors to tour one of the city's last remaining urban forests from 40-foot-high (12 m). The Canopy Walk is considered the only canopy-level pathway of its kind in the United States. Zoo Atlanta, located in Grant Park, accommodates over 1,300 animals representing more than 220 species. Home to the nation's largest collections of gorillas and orangutans, the Zoo is also one of only four zoos in the U.S. to house giant pandas.[162] Festivals showcasing arts and crafts, film, and music, including the Atlanta Dogwood Festival, the Atlanta Film Festival, and Music Midtown, respectively, are also popular with tourists.[163]
Sports
Atlanta is home to professional franchises for three major team sports: the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball, the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association, and the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League. The Braves, who moved to Atlanta in 1966, were established as the Boston Red Stockings in 1871 and are the oldest continually operating professional sports franchise in the United States.[citation needed] The Braves won the World Series in 1995, and had an unprecedented run of 14 straight divisional championships from 1991 to 2005.[171]

TLBTV: The American Vision - Warspeak, Talking about Vietnam
The American Vision - Warspeak, Talking about Vietnam - With Special Guests, Marc Waszkiewicz & Lea Jones
By TLB Contributing Author & TLBTV Show Host: Bill Muckler
Viet Nam: An Inner View Sgt. Marc Waszkiewicz (USMC, Ret.) is a three-tour combat veteran of the Vietnam war. Marc's life's work, Vietnam: An Inner View, Is Built upon more than 4,000 photos, thousands of hours of 8mm film, and hundreds of letters home while serving in Nam, first on a fire support base and then as a forward artillery observer in the field with Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines.
He has made hundreds of hours of insightful video interviews with former brothers in arms since his combat tours. Marc is a 100 percent PTSD disabled veteran. His aim is to show what it was really like in Vietnam; to examine the stereotypes associated with Vietnam veterans; and to open dialogue on a national scale about combat and its effects on those involved.
Marc teamed with executive producer Lea Jones in 1992 to write and record the soundtrack album, now called Warspeak. Lea was a finalist in a screenwriting competition in the early days of the Sundance Film Festival. He made Top 10 in the Mountain Stage New Song Competition in 2004; and was a finalist for the ballpark announcer gig at (Baltimore Orioles) Camden Yards.
Lea Jones started writing, performing and recording songs soon after he escaped southern California in 1972. He has performed solo and in groups on the National Mall, at the Kennedy Center, at Bumbershoot (Seattle) and other festivals and concerts. The East Coast Premiere Screening of Vietnam: An Inner View will be at The Avalon Theatre, 5612 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington, DC on Thursday, May 24, 2018, 3:00 PM and 5:30 PM screenings. All ages, No Cost.
