The 82nd Airborne Division War Memorial Museum is a museum located at Ardennes and Gela Streets on the Fort Bragg Army base. Established in 1945, the museum chronicles the history of the 82nd Airborne Division from 1917 to the present including World War I, World War II, Vietnam War, and Persian Gulf Wars as well as campaigns in Grenada, Panama, Operation Golden Pheasant, Operation Restore Hope and Operation Enduring Freedom. The museum is open to the public but photo id and a vehicle search is required to enter Fort Bragg.The museum grounds serve as a location for military ceremonies as well.

Airborne And Special Operations Museum
In this video, we travel to Fayetteville NC to visit the beautiful and touching Airborne And Special Operations Museum.
The U.S. Army Airborne & Special Operations Museum (ASOM) is part of the United States Army Museum System. Located near Fort Bragg, Fayetteville, North Carolina, it has been open to the public since 2000.
Its emphasis is on United States military history especially U.S. Army airborne and special operations forces.
In October 2013 the ASOM opened the Task Force Ranger and the Battle of Mogadishu Exhibit. The exhibit features immersive dioramas and artifacts from the battle including the wreckage of Super 6-1, the first Black Hawk helicopter shot down during the battle, and Super 6-4. The downing of Super 6-1 is widely considered to be a turning point in the battle and is chronicled in the book by Mark Bowden and movie Black Hawk Down produced by Ridley Scott.
In late 2016 the museum is planning an exhibit dedicated to the Monuments Men. The exhibit will display artifacts, artwork and other items related to their work protecting artistic treasures during World War II.

Airborne & Special Operations Museum Inside Part Two
The Airborne & Special Operations Museum, part of the United States Army Museum System, is located Fayetteville, North Carolina, not far from Fort Bragg. Opening to the public on August 16, 2000, the 60th anniversary of the first U.S. Army parachute jump in 1940 at Fort Benning, Ga, the museum's emphasis is on United States military history especially U.S. Army Airborne and Special Operations Forces.

Fort Bragg
Fort Bragg is a major United States Army installation, located in Cumberland, Hoke, Harnett and Moore counties, North Carolina, near Fayetteville but also borders the towns of Spring Lake and Southern Pines. It was also a census-designated place in the 2010 Census, during which a population of 39,457 was identified. The fort is named for Confederate general Braxton Bragg. It covers over 251 square miles (650 km2). It is the home of the US Army airborne forces and Special Forces, as well as U.S. Army Forces Command and U.S. Army Reserve Command.

On June 10, 2011, the Patriot Guard Riders had the honor and privilege of standing for and escorting Aaron J. Blasjo from JFK Memorial Chapel on Ft Bragg, NC to Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Spring Lake, NC.
SGT Blasjo was assigned to 3rd Special Forces Group, Fort Bragg, NC. He died in Wardak province, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device
God bless our Fallen Heroes, those serving now, those who served, and our allies.
