A couple of quotations which are compatible with Ammon's message --
This first one is from the 7th Vice President of the United States in his famous Fort Hill Address in 1831. You may read that entire public speech here --
From that speech --
“The error is in the assumption that the General Government is a party to the constitutional compact. The States, as has been shown, formed the compact, acting as Sovereign and independent communities. The General Government is but its creature; and though, in reality, a government, with all the rights and authority which belong to any other government, within the orbit of its powers, it is, nevertheless, a government emanating from a compact between sovereigns, and partaking, in its nature and object, of the character of a joint commission, appointed to superintend and administer the interests in which all are jointly concerned; but having, beyond its proper sphere, no more power than if it did not exist.”
-------------------
This second quotation is from page 7 in Sheriff Mack’s booklet [The Victory For State Sovereignty] on his Supreme Court decision against the Clinton Administration in 1997. This is Justice Scalia writing for the majority opinion (Sheriff Mack of Arizona and Sheriff Printz of Montana did indeed win their suit against the Federal government.) --
It is incontestable that the Constitution established a system of “dual sovereignty”…. Although the States surrendered many of their powers to the new Federal Government, they retained “a residuary and inviolable sovereignty”…. Residual state sovereignty was also implicit, of course, in the Constitution’s conferral upon Congress of not all governmental powers, but only discrete, enumerated ones. Article 1, Section 8, which implication was rendered express by the Tenth Amendment’s assertion that “[t]he powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people”. The Framers’ experience under the Articles of Confederation had persuaded them that using the States as the instruments of federal governance was both ineffectual and provocative of federal state conflict. The Framers rejected the concept of a central government that would act upon and through the States, and instead designed a system in which the state and federal governments would exercise concurrent authority over the people. The great innovation of this design was that our citizens would have two political capacities, one state and one federal, each protected from incursion by the other” – “a legal system unprecedented in form and design, establishing two orders of government, each with its own direct relationship, its own privity, its own set of mutual rights and obligations to the people who sustain it and are governed by it.”… The Constitution thus contemplates that a State’s government will represent and remain accountable to its own citizens. As Madison expressed it: “[T]he local or municipal authorities form distinct and independent portions of the supremacy, no more subject, within their respective spheres, to the general authority than the general authority is subject to them, within its own sphere.” ….This separation of the two spheres is one of the Constitution’s structural protections of liberty.”
(end quoted passage from Justice Scalia of the Supreme Court)

5 Beautiful Places Where The Water is Completely Clear!
5 MOST Beautiful Destinations Where The Water is Completely Clear!
Description:
With summer finally on the horizon it’s time to start thinking about places where you can cool off when temperatures start to heat up. Sure, ice cream stands and local swimming pools are nice places to start, but for those who crave a more nature-centric environment you may want to consider taking your swimsuit to nearby lake – or if you’re close enough perhaps you can take your surfboard or bodysuit to one of the world’s beautiful oceans. That’s why today Top 5 Supreme brings you 5 Beautiful Places Where the Water is Completely Clear! Before we get started with today’s video don’t forget to click the bell to get notified every single day with the best Tops you’ll ever see! Let’s get rolling!
#5 Flathead Lake
One of the best looking lakes in the United States is found in the great state of Montana, and it’s called Flathead Lake. It is the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi river, and is named for the Flathead Indians who still live just south of the gorgeous body of water. The lake is nestled at the end of the Rocky Mountain Trench and was formed by an enormous glacier. The see through water is some of the most beautiful in the world, and is inhabited by trout, whitefish and shrimp. Locals have even reported sightings of the infamous Flathead Lake Monster, a fabled creature similar to the Loch Ness.
#4 Rio da Prata
Another beautiful body of water is the Rio da Prata in Bonito, Brazil. It is a river that is saturated with underground limestone that acts like a natural filter, providing some of the clearest water in the world. Snorkelers gather here regularly in search of some of the underwater wildlife that is easily spotted because of the clarity of the water. The water is so clear that after heavy rains flooded a hiking trail nearby, the Rio da Prata combined with another flooded river and allowed for breathtaking footage, as the crystal clear water submerged huge trees, giant plants and a wooden walkway . . . all easily seen underwater.
#3 Peyto Lake
The Peyto Lake, in Alberta Canada, is wonderfully clear with a picturesque blue hue. During the summers blue rocks found in the ice from the only glaciers remaining from the Ice Age over 10,000 years ago fall into the lake, and when those rocks are hit with sunlight they reflect a beautiful blue that illuminates the entire body of water. The clear blue water is so see through that you can just about see down to the bottom of the lake, which is almost 270 feet deep. The area is residential, as people looking for family friendly activities like boating, kayaking, camping and hiking can find all that- plus a whole lot more – right here at Peyto Lake.
#2 Blue Lake
Blue Lake in New Zealand is officially the clearest lake in the world, but because it is considered to be sacred by the locals, human beings are not permitted to enter the water. The lake is located in Nelson Lakes National Park and tests have actually proved this to be the clearest natural body of fresh water known to man, with visibility in those tests reaching over 260 ft. Even though humans aren’t technically allowed to enter the water, the destination is still a popular place for hiking and fishing.
#1 The Exumas
One of the most beautiful places with the clearest water in the world – that not too many people talk about – are The Exumas in the Bahamas. Located just off the coast of Miami, the most popular place to visit is the Great Exuma, however over 365 islands are present. One of the more popular attractions of the resort is swimming with pigs, oddly enough, at the famous Big Major Cay. The islands and resorts associated with the are offer tons of fantastic water activities that allow you to take advantage of the landscape, including sailing, kiteboarding, fishing and of course snorkeling – which is very easy to do with the clarity of the water!
As you can see, white sand isn’t the only attraction when it comes to picking water centric destinations. And that is today’s list! Thanks for watching today's video. Western Montana Winter Fair 2017
Missoula, MT As part of its mission to serve the community year-round, the Missoula County Fairgrounds and Glacier Ice Rink will host the first annual Western Montana Winter Fair, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday afternoons: December 16 and 17, 2017.
This new event will be free admission for all and offers fun for the whole family. The Winter Fair brings together many existing traditions, including The Missoula Lions Club Tree Sale, gift shopping for local crafts, many ice sports activities, and adds more interactive activities and giving opportunities for the community.
Just as the summer event helped fundraise over half-a-million dollars for local nonprofits, the Western Montana Winter Fair aims to gather charity groups from around the area to help raise awareness and donations for the giving season. Fair staff are actively seeking sponsors and community partners to help make this brand new event great! Those interested in participating are encouraged to contact Tom Aldrich or Tracy Mullennix in the Fair Office as soon as possible.
“Just like with the Fair in the summer,” Fair Event Committee member Janie Scheben said, “we want to bring everyone together, regardless of socioeconomic status, cultural background, or in the case of the holiday season—faith. We are all Montanans and we all celebrate the values of peace and giving.”

RV SHOPPING + RUSSIAN DELI FOR SNACKS
Hi Everyone!
Today we're in Kalispell, Montana looking at RVs. When we're in a new state, we like to stop at the local RV dealer to see what they have on the lot. Every state is different, so it's good to check.
The very first RV we looked at would be perfect for us, except that it is a fifth wheel. We would have to change our whole set up, but we're still considering it. Stay tuned.
We also stop at the Deli of Europe for some snacks on the road. Our new friend that we met there from Siberia couldn't have been nicer.
All in all, a very nice day hanging out in Kalispell.
ENJOY!

Baucus Secures Bipartisan Compromise to Extend Tax Cut for Montana Workers

Baucus Secures Bipartisan Compromise to Extend Tax Cut for Montana Workers
Montana Small Businesses Say Payroll Tax Cut Critical for Jobs
(Washington, D.C.) - Montana's senior U.S. Senator Max Baucus secured a bipartisan compromise today to extend the 2 percentage point payroll tax cut and put about $1,000 back in the pockets of American workers through the end of 2012. Baucus is co-chair of the bipartisan House-Senate Conference Committee tasked with reaching an agreement to extend the cut, which Montana employers have said is critical for job creation. Baucus announced the final deal with his House counterpart, Republican Congressman Dave Camp of Michigan.
Today we came together to do the right thing for American families and jobs by making sure Montana workers don't see a dip in their paychecks just as the economy is starting to recover. This compromise means money in the pockets of Montana workers and that means more customers for Montana businesses and more jobs for our state, Baucus said.
Quick Facts:
■ According to the Treasury Department, the Payroll Tax Holiday benefitted 600,000 Montana workers in 2011 and pumped $300 million back into the hands of Montana families.
■ Experts economists have warned that letting the payroll tax cut expire could cause a drop in GDP of up to 1.5 percent.
■ Today's agreement also includes extensions through 2012 of both the so-called doc fix to ensure seniors have access to their doctors through Medicare and up to 99 weeks of unemployment insurance, depending on the state, for workers who've lots their jobs through no fault of their own.
Montana Employers: Payroll Tax Cut Critical for Jobs
Mike Craighill, owner, Soup and Such, Billings:
The number one thing it takes to run a restaurant is customers - without them, we simply cannot survive. So, it's critical for Soup and Such that we extend the payroll tax cut for Montana families so diners can keep coming in to enjoy our delicious soups and we can continue supporting jobs here in Billings.
Tim Christiansen, owner, Vino Per Tutti, Bozeman:
As a small business owner, I know firsthand how important the payroll tax cut is for Montana jobs. Montanans are already struggling in the tough economy, and keeping money in their pockets keeps customers in our stores. Extending the payroll tax cut it critical to Vino Per Tutti and our whole economy.
Brian McGregor, owner, Silver Dollar Saloon, Butte:
In today's economy families are barely scraping by. That's why its so important we keep that extra $1,000 in the pockes of working families with the paroll tax cut. They'll put that money right back into local businesses like the Silver Dollar Saloon and help Montana business owners continue creating jobs.
Brent Campbell, owner, WGMGroup, Inc, Missoula:
Families currently are in need of every penny they have to make ends meet. The payroll tax cut provides a little extra spending that stays in the economy and helps other businesses. Removing the extra help the tax but priovies at this time will further damage our struggling economy.
Whitefish Spokesman's Pathetic Defense Of Puerto Rico Contract
Whitefish spokesman Ken Luce went on CNN to comment on the scandal involving his company. Cenk Uygur, John Iadarola, Francesca Fiorentini, and Judah Friedlander, the hosts of The Young Turks, break it down. Tell us what you think in the comment section below. Join TYT:
“A deal reached between the government and a small Montana energy company located in Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke's hometown prohibits the government from reviewing labor costs or profits related to the company's relief efforts in Puerto Rico, according to a leaked copy of the contract.
A copy of the deal obtained by reporter Ken Klippenstein reveals that the government isn't allowed to audit or review the cost and profit elements under the agreement, allowing the company greater discretion and secrecy for how it spends the $300 million to restore power to the island. Puerto Rico is rebuilding after two major hurricanes wiped out most of the island's electrical grid.
Whitefish signed the deal with the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA), which also prohibits the government from making any claim against Contractor related to delayed completion of work.
Whitefish has been the target of heavy criticism over questions as to why the small company, which only had two full-time employees when the storm struck, was selected for such a lucrative government contract to help clean up the island.”
